Super netter und Vielsprachiger Service. Ein sehr schönen Hotel und super nah an der Metro.

Gute Lage, kein Verkehrslärm, aber sehr kleines Zimmer, 2 Lampen defekt, z.T. sehr unfreundliche Concierges (ständiger Wechsel), Zimmermädchen klopft mehrmals, wenn das Zimmer zwischen 10.00 und 11.00 noch belegt ist

wegen Einbahnstraßen etwas schwierig mit dem Auto zu erreichen, Parkhaus direkt neben Hotel (15,-€), Zimmer und Frühstück o.K., relativ ruhige Seitenstraße, Gänge im Hotel und Aufzug etwas abenteuerlich

Staff were exeptional in the hotel, very helpful. Rooms were very clean and bedding changed daily. The only problem I had was that the air con wasnt working in my room which made it stuffy. We did report it but was unable to be fixed as we were there on the weekend and it could only be fixed during the week.

Way too espensive. The hotel was clean but very dated - for the price. Even for Paris. Breakfast not included - the charge was 13 Euros/person = $18.07!! Needless to say, we didn't eat there!

The front desk upon arrival included a very friendly individual but the evening staff was miserable to the extent of answering any question you had with a disgusted stare and grunt (clearly not a people person). Most of the hotel was full of a heavy chemical cleanser smell. It was so bad within the very small room that we actually had to leave. All in all the location would work for some but clearly not for us, the noise on the street from the nearby park and wandering the area were enough for us to not enjoy our stay.

hotel location is good. for the view, if you take your room facing towards the street this will be great, but other sides have bad view if you look through the window, but unfortunitly there is no double bed room facing to the street. reception employees some of them are polit and helpful but there was one guy his duty at night he is not helpful at all, and even if you say hello he will not respond.

I arrived late to the most unhelpful person ever on the desk. The toilet did not work what more can I say...........

As much as we paid for this hotel, I would expect more, but it's Paris. You just don't get a big room unless you pay outrageous amounts of money. The room was clean. The elevator was slightly scary; when the 3rd person steps in or out, it feels like it's going to plummet to the floor, though it doesn't of course. There are no shower curtains at all. The bathroom floor ends up soaked. There is plenty of hot water. Both of the rooms I reserved had two twin beds side by side. I'm beginning to think this is the normal thing for Europe in general, as a hotel in Munich was the same way. One of the front desk staff we talked to was very nice and helpful, another was polite, but not very forthcoming with information. Both spoke English pretty well. Breakfast came with my Hotels.com price, though I would not pay extra for it. It wasn't great, but could have been much worse. Coffee, OJ, cereal, pastries, and a few other choices were available. This hotel is two metro stops from the Paris de l'Est train station, which is nice. I believe it's also pretty close to the Gare du Nord. The stop isn't right out the door but not even a 5 minute walk. There are quite a few places to eat within an easy walk, including a nice McDonald's. Overall, I'd say it's a decent place to stay in Paris. I'm not sure about parking for the hotel, we took the ICE train into the city. If possible, I would definitely suggest going to the Paris metro site before a trip and buying a multiple day metro pass to get around, driving would be a nightmare, as well as parking.

The hotel is one and a half blocks from the Metro (line #7 Cadet Station) and an 8 minute walk to Gare Du Nord Train Station. There are restaurants and shopping within a short walking distance too. A clean decent hotel for that is not expensive.

We were trying to travel on the cheap through France and Italy and after reading some of reviews of the hotel, I was really worried. But I was pleasantly surprised by both the location and condition of the property. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the room was clean and the A/C worked well. It is less than two blocks in either direction from a Metro stop, in walking distance of Sacre Coeur and the Montmartre neighborhood and about 20 easy minutes walking from Gare du Nord. The elevator was even big enough for two people with luggage. We had been traveling throughout For the money, this place was on par with the best we had encountered over two weeks in Europe.

All in all, not even close to what we expected and our least favorite of 5 hotels we stayed at between UK, FRA, ITALY. Cons: Tiny room, slightly dingy. 85 degrees when we walked in (even thought they had AC in the room, it didnt work well). Cockroach trap on the floor by TV. No shower curtain or stall so everything got soaked. Staff was just OK. Elevator continuously stopped working and even closed on my wife's arm on our way out. Literally shut on her arm and could have seriously injured her. Staff didn't have any idea about the surrounding area and told us nothing would be open at 11p when we wanted to go for wine. There is a charming cafe opened till 2a a block away! And two more across the street from that! Day we checked out there were 30 TVs scattered on the floor of lobby all day. We think there was breakfast included but were never told and just happened to see this hidden breakfast setup around the corner as we were checking out. Pros: Nice restaurants in area. Great location to the train. THATS IT! This is an honest review. We're not hard to please and don't need much to make us happy. This place just flat out doesn't even give you that much.

I stayed at the Hotel De L'Ocean for one night. Traveling from the U.S., I don't speak much French, but when I arrived the multi-lingual staff were very helpful. they even assisted us with tour tickets. The room was small, but about what you can expect for European hotels. The nearest metro station was only 2 blocks away and the neighboorhood was relatively quiet. My only quibble was the fact that the hotel didn't have air conditioning. However, I have come to learn that is common for many European hotels. Overall my stay at Hotel De L'Ocean was amazing.

While there was nothing wrong with the hotel or the room (it's easy to excuse the sock - lost property - under the bed), there was nothing special to speak of either. Had it been relatively cheap relative to others it would have been a great find, but unfortunately it was more expensive than other similar options). A short 8 minute walk from Gare de Nord (Eurostar terminal) and very close to a Metro station on the line to the Louvre it was ideally located. Since breakfast was not included in the price I cannot comment, but a short walk in any direction will get you a Croissant and coffee anyway. The location was at least quiet. I can reiterate the comment made by others about lack of shower curtain, but the flood just reminds me of home! So in summary, nothing wrong, but neither would I go back.

Very hard to find but once located within easy reach of two Metro stops. Rooms a decent size but beds low and uncomfortable. Room was clean though. Although this hotel is on a side street we did experience loud traffic noise during the night as the windows were not very thick. Overall good value for money and well located if you are happy to use the metro to get around.

I had a room with loud pipes that made racket every 15 minutes or so. The elevator behaved very stangely and closed prematurely on me twice. The location wasn't bad but I've stayed in better places that's for sure....

Going to Paris for the first I wasn't expecting much, I heard hotels were overpriced and uncomfortable. Here's my take on this... 1) The service was awful, the front desk is extremely unfriendly. Staff in the evenings and at breakfast were rude. 2) Elevators would break quite often. 3) Showers were of normal size but no real curtains or door so the bathroom get entirely soaked. 4) Overall - the room was of ok size, not the best hotel for the price, could use lots of improvement especially the staff. The upside is that there's a great bakery nearby and it's near the Cadet station and the Gare'de Nord.

Good price for a reasonable hotel. Helpful staff, close to metro. Easy to get to major sites. Bakery nearby was good too.

Tucked away in a quiet side street, this hotel was picked for our stay because of its location. We were pleasantly surprised for the price. The bathroom was nice and bright, the room was quite a decent size too, unusually for Paris. The air conditioning was adequate although it's door key operated, so has to be off when you're out and about. We didn't sample the hotel's breakfast, so can't comment on that. The desk staff were pleasant. A slightly better than average 3* hotel.

I booked the hotel based on the price, 3 star rating, and general location within Paris. I was very pleased to find that the location and staff far exceeded my expectations!! The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my entire stay. The hotel is only a 20 minute walk from the SNCF, and less than 2 blocks from a central Metro line. Aside from the Metro, the hotel is also walking distance from a lot of great shops and restaurants!

much further then the map shows from Gare du Nord this is a dirty, out of the way musty place with no electric power in the room and no drawer space for your clothes. Much better hotels much closer to the train station

Overpriced for the room space

Paris has an amazing subway (RER) system. You can stay almost anywhere in the city and take the train to wherever you need to go. However, some hotels are closer to RER stations than others. This hotel is very close. 2 small blocks from the station. Not a bad area either. It is in the opera district which has alot of cheaper restaurants and a few sights nearby. No matter where you stay you will need to use the subway or rent a tour bus. The double bed is just 2 singles slid together so not very romantic. The rooms were very clean and slightly larger than some other hotels I stayed at in Europe. (Europe is known for there small hotel rooms). Had heated towel rack mini-bar, elevator, A/C, internet available in the lobby. Good hotel.

Ti minutters gange fra Montmartre og Gare du Nord, og midt i businessområdet langs La Fayette. Strøket bærer preg av at det er litt i bakgatene, men hotellet er helt greit til f.eks. weekend-turer. Frokosten er bra og variert, om enn ikke luksuriøs. Servicen i resepsjonen varierte fra "ikke" til "kjempebra", alt avhengig av hvem som satt der. Honnør til hotellets asiatiske innslag for god hjelp til å finne veien!

Hottellet ligger centralt, det er billigt, værelserne - både de små og de store - er fine. Men det helt store hit er receptionisterne, som ikke slapper af, før alt er perfekt, og som hjælper med de mærkeligste ting. Kommer helt klart igen!

Hotellet motsvarade de förväntningar vi hade. Läget är bra, frukosten ok. Personalen var väldigt hjälpsam. Dock har man parfymerat enormt, förmodligen pga att ta bort gammal röklukt. Är man allergisk mot dofter kan man kanske ta sig en funderare...

Fin beliggenhet og rommet var helt greit for et kort opphold. Betjeningen var noe hjelpeløs til å håndtere at brannalarmen gikk ved midnatt.

Pour un 3 étoiles, je m'attendais à mieux en particulier sur l'accueil. Les différents personnels d'accueil sont peu concernés par le client. Une exception le service du petit déjeuner. La moquette de la chambre était tâchée et un certain nombre de détails n'étaient pas au niveau 3 étoiles. Ceci dit, la prestation est correcte, l'hotel calme bien que je jouxtais la cabine d'ascenseur aucune nuisance sonore. La proximité du métro CADET est un plus. J'y retournerai

Det var et hyggeligt hotel, og det lå udemærket, lidt over centrum.

Prima plek om te slapen, ontbijt goed, vriendelijke bediening.

het hotel was prima alleen de bedden waren niet erg comfortabel. Voor de rest zag het er allemaal prima uit! schone kamer, goede service!
