Ayres Inn Alpine - Alpine

Overall our experience was good...There were some improvements I would like to see; 1. there was no phone book in the room to locate a restaurant(No restaurants were close by.) 2. There was no conversion table to convert the USA Today Tv guide into the local channels. We just stumbled around. 3. the bathroom exhaust fan was quite noisey, although it worked okay it could have been quieter. 4 the continental breakfast was good, but the tables are so close together, it is hard to sit while people go by you hitting your arms..and all the round tables are unbalanced and tip from side to side.which sent my wife's juice onto the floor.

The Hotel required a 100 dollar deposit that wasn't mentioned in the booking fee, it was returned upon our departure. The toilet seat had a crack in it that wasn't fixed until the second and last day.

Room was nice, continental breakfast very good, pleasant staff.

The hotel is conveniently located between the forests and the beaches. The City of Alpine is very relaxed yet contains sufficient shopping and dining facilities. However, the quality of the hotel did not match the price.

Bed was comfortable and above average. Did have a problem with the air conditioner but was able to change room. Room was clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast.

We had business in El Cajon and wanted to find peace and quiet in the evenings, away from the stress of urban areas. We certainly got that peace and quiet and relaxation at the Ayres Inn Alpine, with easy access to the freeway and a 12 minute drive to and from El Cajon. A nice surprise was the buffet breakfast with waffles and hard boiled eggs in addition to fresh fruit, hot and cold cereal, toast and muffins. The staff was friendly and helpful. This is a good place if you want to be "away from it all".

What a wonderful surprise and so close to the Cleveland National Forest. My girlfriends and I will be Back....Thank Ayres.........The women from the OC.

Great hotel in every aspect except one. The TV selection was limited. Their was no History Channel. The last time I stayed in a hotel without the History Channel, their was no History Channel.

For convinience and location, the Ayres could not be beat.

The AC unit is loud. Other than that, can't complain for the price.

I am not one that usually writes reviews for anything but Ayres Inn Alpine was such a pleasant surprise that I felt it was well deserving of a positive review. The room was very clean and spacious,the bed was extremely comfortable, the surrounding businesses had great charm and character and the landscaping/grounds were quiet and relaxing as well as beautiful. I have paid three or four times the amount we paid for this room and had a less comfortable experience. Thank you Ayres Inn Alpine!

This was my second stay at this hotel and on both occasions I have been more than satisfied. The location is very quiet,the staff is friendly and efficient, the room is nice and very clean, and the complimentary continental breakfast is first rate (better than bed and breakfast locations I have stayed in). The only drawback is the distance from San Diego, but if your business is anywhere near the Alpine area it is a great place to stay.

The Front Desk actually called a while after our check-in to see if All was Well!

We were told their would be a continental breakfast which works perfect for a snack for two kids under the age of 3. The room was crowded and there was NO FRUIT. The other food ran out quickly as well. The time was 8-11 and we got there at 9. We were very disappointed.

Very comfortable room, clean, neat, but smelled a little like smoke otherwise very pleasant stay.

This was a nice value for the money. The room was clean and the maid service very good. The continental breakfast was satisfactory, with fresh fruit, cereal, beverages, and normal bread items. The water in the room was not very cold; but this was a minor issue. Not many eating places in the area, but again this was not an issue for my wife and I.

For the past four years we've been staying at the Ayres. We love the location and it is well worth the twenty minute drive up the canyon to get away from the Downtown area of San Diego.

Unfortuntely I thought we were staying at a Hotel not a Motel. But after we got there it was very clean and well kept up and the staff were very friendly. Overall it was a pleasant stay

Some of the rooms are located at the back side of the Hotel in an area that you must walk directly through and past the Laundry area. Our room was located in that area!

maybe people should be aware of just how loud they are and what time of the night it is.
