Great hotel, located quite near the central railway station, which is where a lot of the tourist trips depart from. Best to get a room at the rear of the hotel to avoid the noise of the trams. Room was a little bit small but manageable and very comfortable. Staff were very helpful - even printed my return boarding card for me. Breakfast is 15 Euro and it's quite good, though there are several cafes nearby where you could breakfast for 7 or 8 Euro. About 10 / 15 minute walk to the main shopping street.. Previous reviews mentioned a lap dancing club right opposite the hotel so I was expecting a pretty seedy district but it was fine, no problems whatsoever. I would stay in this hotel again

Location near the Hauptbanhof is ideal. Very easy and short walk into the city center. Also a short walk to the Augustinerkeller. Hotel was clean, friendly staff. Didn't try breakfast as it wasn't included in the rate. A bit pricey considering no breakfast and most importantly, no free internet. The room did have A/C though, which was very nice. Best thing about it is the location.

Very nice European hotel conveniently located near the main train station. Easy access to subway, regional trains (S-Bahn) and trams. City center is within walking distance if that is your desire. The only complaint I have is with the cleaning staff who entered our room more that once without knocking.

Charming hotel that is walking distance from the train station (5 - 7 min) and the old town, shopping, attractions (10 – 15 min). This is not a modern hotel with modern furnishings but this is the Europe that we want to surround ourselves in. The hotel staff was very friendly. We did not have the breakfast at the hotel. There are restaurants directly across the street where you can get breakfast at a much cheaper price. This hotel was perfect for us as we were only in Munich for 2 nights and wanted to be close to the train station for our late arrival and early departure. We would recommend this hotel.

Of the 4 hotels we used in Germany, this was by far my favorite. The rooms and bathrooms are quite small, but very cozy and nice looking. Nice flat screen tv in our room. The room had air conditioning!, which was a rarity in Germany. The neighborhood wasn't spectacular, but not bad. The free gift to the casino next door was good (casino had only machines, no tables). Parking was fairly expensive. Overall, good value, especially in the summer when air conditioning is needed.

Nice hotel near the Central Station. I would recommend as a decent hotel, although no bargain. Lobby is small, as are the standard rooms. A plus - the rooms were very clean. Area is bit further afield, but doable. Very convenient to train station. Booked a non-smoking room and was advised only smoking available. Was only offered an upgrade to better non-smoking room when I pushed back.

I would highly recommend this hotel. Location was great. You are a 10 minute walk from the train station and other local transportation and 15 minutes from the Center of Town. I would not recommend the hotel breakfast (lots of food, kind of pricey). As early risers we would walk to the train station and you can find anything you want to eat there, including a little restaurant. There is a great Italian restaurant around the corner from the Hotel which we highly recommend. Don't order off the hotel dinner menu (they get the food from the Italian hotel and you'll pay double the price). Staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was larger than expected. The room was clean and comfortable the bathroom was a decent size and you can't beat the location. We will definitely use this hotel in the future.

Two of us were staying at this hotel over 6 nights. The location is good, about 4 mins from the Hauptbanhof U (S)-ban, which is 2-3 stops from the town centre. You can also walk to town centre, it'll take you about 25 mins. Actually any place in the city is great for walking - the streets and especially the buildings are very clean and beautiful to look at. Nearby the hotel (about 10 mins walk) is a magnificent Konigsplatz and further on all three Pinakotekas with good collections of paintings. There are decent restaurants and cafes around the Hotel which are less expensive that in the town centre. The Hotel itself: the cervice is various: some of the staff are friendly and helpful, some are not. Room is not big with the replica of the ancient bed. On the walls are cheap quasiromantic pictures, the furniture is quasivictorian. Overall atmosphere is a mixture of old and new. Clenliness is ok. The room service works at certain hours, it's better to check with the stuff in advance. All give an experience 4 points out of 5.

Perfect location near main train station, yet still quiet. Very clean and neat with decent size room and bathroom very well set up to make the most use from limited space. Would definitely stay again. Complimentary fresh apples and ice water available 24/7 in lobby, and in room coffee maker with three strengths of coffee available. Grocery store almost next door, and fantastic bakery just one block away. Hard to find any negatives but a few are: no money exchange available at front desk, no clock in room, and expensive internet fees (6 euros for one hour or 10 euros per day). For internet suggest free wifi at Burger King at train station, or 1 euro per hour at internet cafe 1 block away.

Room and hotel spotlessly clean and well positioned within 10 minutes walk of Marionplatz. Great coffee making facilities in the room. Bathroom was very small and not much storage space in either bathroom or bedroom. This is OK for a short stay but could become a problem on a longer stay. Apparently there is a floor of the hotel where they allow smoking in the rooms. I don't mind this, but I don't like having the stale smoke being pumped into my room. It seemed to happen more on weekdays than at the weekend. I would recommend this hotel to people who do not have an aversion to smoking.

Stayed 4 nights at the Kings Hotel First Class. Hotel was very convenient to central train station, subway/trams and Marienplatz. There is a gentleman's club and a casino on the walk to the train, but we never saw any activity around these and did not ever feel unsafe walking the street at night. Also a small grocery, bakery, and one beer hall nearby. Took the subway often as it was very cold outside and we were tired from doing a lot of walking this trip. Hotel room was decent size, very clean and comfortable for a standard room. King sized-bed was 2 twins put together with separate duvets (standard for the area). Hotel pillows left a little to be desired, but staff provided extra pillows at our request. Small bathroom, but well lit and with heated towel rack (nice in the winter). Hotel staff spoke good English. Had a problem with the wake-up call one moring, but staff were excellent about making sure we were up the rest of the week so we didn't miss our train. The staff were also very attentive to our needs and informative about restaurant recommendations, etc. Hotel had free apples at the reception. Did not eat breakfast at the hotel as it was not included in our rate. Overall good hotel at a reasonable rate, but not overly classy. Would have been better if our rates included breakfast.
