Hotel Palmyra Beach - Athens Coast

When looking up this hotel, I was very excited about it. When we arrived, the lobby was very nice and remodeled and the pool was great. However, it was not connected to a beach - you have do walk down the block and across the street to get to the beach. Also, the actually rooms were less than clean. The bathrooms were not cleaned before we arrived or during our stay. The carpet had some strange stains and the room had a strange smell when we walked in. The plus side to this, though, is that the outside location and amenities make you want to be out of your room most of the time anyway.

Rooms at the back of the hotel overlook a very busy road with 6 lanes of fast moving traffic. The windows are double glazed but it is still very noisy almost all night. The TV was a staggering 12 inches wide. Free wireless internet in the lobby but otherwise unsuitable, a bit scruffy. 30 year old furniture. Breakfast is ok. Clean, acceptable if you are stuck, but otherwise best to choose somewhere else until they do a full refurb.

Sad to be so disapointed. this was horrible. i like to be positave, but this was a complete mistake to have paid so much becuase we thought it would be worth it to end our greek isle trip with a nice hotel. this hotel stuck us in the basement in a room with spartan furniture, a broken 13" tv, broken showerhead,to single beds pulled together, empty beer cans all around the pool, but the kicker was when we pulled back the bed cover the top sheet had some persons fecal stain inbedded in the sheet.

The hotel is about 35 minutes away from Center City Athens, but the metro stops right next to the hotel. The beaches and restaurants near the hotel are great and we really enjoyed being near the coast in Gylfada. The rooms were a descent size and the bathrooms were clean. The hotel restaurant and pool/pool-bar are very nice. I would recommend this hotel for those planning a trip.

Stayed at the Palmyra for two nights in May 2008. Hotel facilities were all very good and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Only downside was the location right beside the dual carriageway to Piraeus. Very busy and noisy road with traffic noise at night making it very difficult to sleep. Would still recommend the hotel though - just take earplugs!

Nice hotel that is close to the beach and the TRAM. Service is pleasant and the breakfast is good. I would saty here again

It is a nice hotel but I do not think that is 4 stars. 3 stars would be my rate. It is very well located in Glyfada.
