Modern kreativ und praktisch sehr sauber Frühstück lohnt sich nicht ist im Vergleich zu Europa dilettantisch auf jeden Fall ohne Frühstück buchen und zu starbucks gehen

Gutes Hotel in Boston für die Preisklasse. Lage ist bestens. Dicht an Newberry Street und damit gute Ausgangslage zum Shoppen. Zimmer nicht gerade riesig, aber wer will schon im Zimmer sein. Aussicht von den Zimmern auch nicht immer bestens. Dafür aber für amerikanische Verhältnisse sehr moderne Ausstattung und es gab Frühstück inklusive. Insgesamt sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis für Boston. Nicht von den drei Sternen abschrecken lassen. Wer sich Boston ansehen will, ist hier bestens aufgehoben.

One of the best locations in Boston, rooms are a bit small, average breakfast, decent staff, and clean rooms. Average.

Rooom was very small but location is great and was good value

The rooms are tiny,tiny and you need instructions on how to turn the ancient TV on and off, and I never did figure out how to change the channels. The bed had a futon-like mattress, which means hard as a rock. The only positive about the hotel is its location. Avoid this hotel.

Couldn't have been a better located hotel. Easy and cheap (for Boston) parking. Only a few hundred feet from Copley T stop. Perfect for Fenway, bars, and restaurants. Now for the clincher, the size of the room... perfect for 2 people. Someone who wants a bigger room should just stay home. Why pay extra for a room if your going to be out enjoying the city anyway. Good Service, Great Area, Perfect Hotel

Overall, this hotel was great. Clean with a modern chic look, a super accommodating staff and an awesome location. The only drawbacks were that the rooms are on the small side and I could hear the people above me walking around pretty well. However, for my purpose, alone on business and having to get up early anyway, the drawbacks were not a major problem. You have to try the Thai restaurant right next door.

I felt like it was a closet would describe in a few words. The lady at the reception was border rude and certainly not helpfull. It was my understanding I was booking a room with a queen or king bed and end up with a full bed as it is really all they could fit in this extremely small room!

It had an attractive, contemporary vibe, and there was a hip bar on the first floor. The breakfast was disapponting--just bagels (and maybe some fruit), but no cereal.

Staying at the Charlesmark hotel was a great experience. It was in a great location, within walking distance from key sites in Boston and close to many entrances to the T. The staff was very welcoming and helpful when we first arrived and when we inquired about directions to various places in the area. Also, my room was a great size and very clean. All in all, I have nothing negative to say for this hotel and have already recommended it to my friends and family. I will definitely be choosing it again for my next Boston trip!

A small place with a great location close enough to walk to Fenway Park -- no pools or gyms - but if just want a clean reasonably priced stay this is it

The hotel staff was great. We really liked the look & feel of the hotel & the rooms but the rooms are small. The only problem we had was that you could hear people walking around in the room above ours, got quite annoying, especially when trying to fall asleep.

The room was small and had no fridge...that's all I could imagine anyone complaining about. The Charlemark is beautifully appointed, very clean and quiet, and in a perfect location. Right across the street from the library, right around the corner from Newbury St., within a block of Copley T station. It was the perfect hotel for our vacation.

Charlesmark is a small boutique hotel situated in the right place in boston for both business and leisure. Across the road from the tube, 20mins to the airport by taxi(or tube) and in the heart of the best area in boston. We stayed there on our first night and wish we went back on our very last instead of trying another recommended hotel (omni parker). The room was colourful, clean, nice to be in and airconditioned and doubleglazed so we had a good night's sleep

Staff were very pleasant and helpful

Excellent service and very reasonably priced. Loved the modern touch on the interior.

Cozy room, the bed is nothing to brag about. The tiled shower floor felt great on the feet even though the shower was small. It is right next to a subway station, and there was shopping all around. Great Hotel for a good price.

The Charlesmark is the Minicooper of hotels. A lot of detail and jazz packed into a small space. Yes, the rooms are small, but they designed every inch with custom furniture and splendid detail. The bar and lounge are sleek, the free computers let us get our boarding passes printed. The location is near by Back Bay train station and the Copley T stop. The Library and Trintiy Church are worth seeing across the street. I would also reccommmend a walk over to the South End neighborhood. Real Boston neighborhood, just far enough away from the hotel district to feel authenticly native.

The hotel is fun, small but cool and in a great location. I couldn't get on my computer--they need to get better wireless service.

Outstanding Hotel in a Great Location

I've been in tight quarters before but the size of these rooms for the price I paid is unreasonable. You're practically sleeping next to the comode, not the most romantic situation. The building was well restored and maintained and in a good location except that the nearest parking garage was three blocks away. Next time I'm in Boston I believe I can do much better for the money.

For less money than I've ever spent for an overnight, the Charlesmark Hotel offered a beautifully-decorated, comfortable, posh environment in a prime Back Bay location. The staff was friendly and helpful, a full breakfast and internet were included, and the windows really opened! The bar downstairs was hopping but not at all invasive. Only downside was metered parking -- I racked up $50 in tickets during my 24-hour stay :-/ But that's not the hotel's fault...in my opinion, they did everything correctly (and valet parking is available, though I don't know the details).

The room was tiny but very well-appointed, clean and comfortable. Hotel itself is in a great location for walking, shops and nightlife.

We just came back from a stay at the Charlesmark. The best part was the location: close to anything you might need and across the street from the T (subway), which can take you almost everywhere. The hotel is clean and well kept and the neighborhood is upscale and very pretty. However, the room we had was tiny (had a gigantic bathroom, though) and we felt sort of claustrophobic. Also, the parking garage the hotel has a deal with was 5 or 6 blocks away, a pain in the neck if you want to go anywhere not accessible by the T. The size of the room was really the clincher for us -- we were prepared for small, but not that small.

We had never been to Boston before and chose this hotel based on previous reviews. The location was awesome and in a very hip area of town. We appreciated the fact that we able to check in three hours early and everything was very clean and updated. The room was quite small, but it was alright for us. We liked having a nice, continental breakfast included in the price.

Checked into this boutique hotel on a Saturday night - hotel has a very lively (& noisy) bar in midtown location. I was dead tired, not interested. My room was below ground level, so I feared the worst, but it was completely soundproof! Got a great night's sleep. Thank you!!

Great location for Fenway Park and other attractions. Staff is very friendly and Hotel was totally worth the price for the location.

When I travel I usually stay in boutique hotels, and my recent stay at Charlesmark only further encourages me to keep staying at such hotels. The hotel was the cheapest price-wise in the area and is in the best location in Boston - right across from the Boston Public Library and one street away from the shopping area on Newbury Street. The rooms are small, but the decor is chic and modern. I stayed only one night, but would have loved to stay more. I recommend this hotel for the price, service, location and decor. Love it!

This hotel was great! Right in the middle of everything in Back Bay, easy walking distance to Fenway, lots to do after the game. The rooms are small but very nice, clean, and the breakfast was simple but good. I would definitely stay here again or reccommend this hotel to anyone.

The room in this hotel is really small, but I still recommend this hotel, it is clean, and the people there ware nice.

I'm afraid to write this because I want this boutique hotel to be my little secret. Firstly the hotel.com price was a great value. Secondly the location is excellent - wonderful access to the green and orange lines, and if you're a passport member of NYSC, BSC, WSC, or PSC member your Sports Club is nearby (otherwise the hotel has a $15 a day deal with the club)- and it's a nice one. Newbury Street is nearby and if you forget a toothbrush, so is CVS. My room had a view of a brick wall but it was cozy, and the windows still allowed light in. I was not planning to spend much time in the room so that didn't matter. I did hear the floor creaking in the room above me but fortunately that stopped was BEFORE my bedtime. No review mentioned - and I loved - the stereo speakers - they are in the room's walls and the ceiling in the bathroom - so you can play your cd/dvd, the stereo, or the TV through them and hear them even as you shower. Not really a service oriented hotel - the front desk staff basically checked me in and out. I did not use the bar, but the Thai restaurant right next door was very good.

We were completely satisfied with our stay! Were visiting Boston for one night and it was the perfect place to stay. The price was great-much much less than what our friends paid at another hotel close by. The rooms were small but I expected that after reading other comments so I was not dissapointed. They are not too small though. You are not going to get a bunch of people in the room but there was plenty of space for bags, walking around, etc. The location is the best part-within walking distance of alot! The modern feel of the hotel was fun! The hotel bar was great too-very chic! Cant say enough! We will definately stay again!

I would definately recommend this hotel to friends and family. Clean and friendly. The breakfast is basic but always fresh. The mattress was bit too soft for my taste, but that is the only complaint I have.

Excellent location - within walking distance to almost everything and the T is right outside the door. Our room was on the small side but very nice - clean and comfortable - easily livable for a few days. Breakfast was included and was very good --- nice bar and restaurant downstairs. Highly recommend it.

My standard room reminded me of a dorm room in terms of size. All amenities are great (satellite radio, movie channels, cute lounge, nice bar) and the location is fantastic. So much to do in Back Bay that you probably won't spend much time in the room anyhow. Staff is very nice.
