Alot of wear and tear, soiled carpets, stuffy. Lack of air conditioning is not normally a problem in the alpine areas, but they lock the windows so you can only open the window 2 inches. Website also indicates that "pets allowed" but when we checked in they allowed our pet with the caviat that "we really are not a pet friendly establishment." There are many other less costly places that provide cleaner, and more comfortable accommodations. I wouldn't go back.

I also was charged for the resort fees that was to be included with the booking of hotels.com nope.. the staff was rude, food terrible, I will be staying next door at the beaver run next stay...

We were placed in a room on the "5th" floor. However as the hotel is built on a hill there was an entry door right outsid our window, so there were two light right outside the window. We could not keep our window open at night because of this and our room was extremely hot. The fan provided is inconvenient and noisy. Also, the door by our window was left open for long periods of time, which is curious since you could not enter the hotel at any other door without your key. Not very security conscious

The room overall had a lot of improvement needed, starting with the hairs in the bed. There were a lot of them under the blankets. The bathroom was really bad too. The lighting is terrible and you can barely see in the shower. The drain was clogged to which made taking a shower like a bath. Lastly, there is no A/C in the room, just a box fan that you can place by the window to try and cool the room down. I told the concierge about all these things and all she did was thank me for telling her, she didn't even tell me if they were going to fix them or compensate me. Nice on the outside, just not on the inside.

I booked the double queen room at the Great Divide Lodge for a friend's wedding. The room was much bigger than we expected. The bathroom though was small compared to the room space. The view from our room was amazing. The linens more than enough for two girls. The toiletries were limited - lotion, shampoo, conditioner and soap. If you need a shower cap or q-tips, bring your own. The in-room blow dryer 'died' as soon as I turned it on and resetting it did not work. Luckily, my girlfriend brought hers and saved the day. Beds were very comfortable and I was happy to have the queen room instead of the usual double. The channels on the TV were varied enough to suit us girls but there was lots to do around town, so we did not spend much time in our room. There was no ac in the rooms - the lodge had a sheet explaining why (snow town), and provided a fan for our use. The room did get really stuffy from the sunlight so we ran our fan the whole time we were there. The lodge did provide complimentary 'shuttle' to and from town, if you did not rent your own. Starbucks coffee was complimentary as well, if you need coffee to function. The room came with a small fridge - not very cold, just cool. The room had a small sink over the fridge. Two complimentary bottles of water and a tote came with the daily lodge fees (it includes garage parking and wireless internet). The hallway carpets could use cleaning but we only saw it on our way in and out - it has the look of an older hotel. The lodge staff was very pleasant and courteous. We enjoyed our breakfast at the 9600 Grill - a lot of food for the money. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the lodge and would recommend it to others.

We went for our honeymoon and being "mud season" as the locals call it, there were not many people around. There were the regular travelers, but not near as many as I can imagine are there during peak ski season. Due to this, many of the shops/restaurants were closed or only open limited hours. There were never lines to wait to get into a restaurant in Breckenridge. The hotel was really conveniently located, about 1/2 mile from the main street in Breckenridge, Main Street. The pool (indoor) was under construction during our stay, but the outdoor hot tubs worked and were convenient. The only thing that caught me by surprise is the $15.00 a day the hotel charges for a "resort fee". This is definitely not a resort. The $60.00 when we checked in that was on top of the room fee was a surprise, but given that it was our honeymoon, I wasn't going to throw a fit, whatever. But fyi- there is a resort fee. There is a garaged (literally opens up like the garage in your home to a big parking garage) area for parking, so I felt really safe with the car in there. The in room dining was not available during our stay which was a bummer, again, being our honeymoon.

The Great Divide Lodge was very nice. Although we were disappointed that the pool and indoor hot tub wasn't open due to maintenance. It should have said that on the website. Also there was a restrauant in the lodge that served food. But when we went down for breakfast, it wasn't open. Even the night before I told the server I wanted to see the breakfast menu and asked him what time they opened. He said they serve breakfast between 7 and 9 am. It was just a continental breakfast in the lobby. Also it said shopping in the lodge, and the store wasn't open either. There was a sports bar there also that wasn't open. This is at the beginning of June. Maybe it's a Lodge for the winter mainly. I was disappointed for the price we paid and all these things were closed. I would have stayed at a different place if they would have been up front with what is closed.

We went at off season - there was not many people staying at the Hotel and we spent most of our time doing other thing in Breckenridge. The room was clean, small, and ok for what we needed- a place to sleep. The only complaint I have is the hair dryer would over heat and i would have to set it down for 5 -10 mins several times to blow dry my hair. I would suggest bring your own hair dryer. There is no air conditioning if you go in the summer months and hit a heat wave.

Good location, not exactly ski in and out. No microwave in room. That really bothered me since one cant afford to eat out 3 times a day. Hairs in the sink and bathroom floor-yuk! I really did not like the fact that there was a 15.00$ resort fee tacked on per day UPON check out. That was a nasty surprise. We were told that that fee covers parking, internet, hot tub, pool area and so on. Is that not supposed be rolled in the room rate????????

Service quite friendly with the exception of one front desk clerk who clearly hated her lot in life. Service was slow overall, e.g., obtaining/returing skis from locker. However, it was the end of spring break rush when we were there and I imagine they trimmed staff down. Overall, had a great stay with good hotel food and mostly friendly service from knowledgable staff. I look forward to staying here again!

This was our first visit to Breckenridge so we really didnt know what to expect. The hotel is located very close to the slopes but it is not a ski in ski out hotel as they advertise. The rooms are nicely furnished and the beds are pretty comftorable. We booked a deluxe room which is supposed to have a mountain view, and you could see a mountain if you pressed your head against the right side of the window and looked really hard, but the real view was of the back of the neighboring hotel, so that was a waste of money. My major complaint with this hotel is the staff, especailly the front desk. Upon checkout I was told there would be a $15 per day lodging fee, which I was unaware of. When I questioned the charge the front desk supervisor got very annoyed and defensive (odviously she has had this complaint before)and gave me major attitude for even questioning the charge. This was not the way I wanted to end my vacation!! All in all we loved the city but you can find something much better for the money and friendlier as well!!!

Stayed in the lodge over a long weekend in a Mountain View room - double queen with sleeper sofa. The beds were good but the sofa bed was bad. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated maybe a bit dated. The public areas are ok with the exception of the bar and restaurant. The bar and restaurant look like a school cafeteria and they need to fix the leak in the roof. Service at breakfast is poor at best. They are way understaffed and it shows. The food was good but did not justify the $9-12 price for the buffet. I would have ordered off the menu but I didn't think I would ever get my food. The on-site ski shop is great and the service was good. The lodge is across the street and a parking lot to the slopes. It's not ski-in ski-out. It would be nice if they would put in some steps and a cross walk for skiers to get to the slopes more safely. It's a long two blocks to town and the road is not well lighted. I recommend using the "free" shuttle that you pay for in the $15 daily resort fee. The shuttle was very convenient and came within 5-10 minutes of being called. A definite plus. To control the heat in the room you turn it off and open the door. The elevators are slow and are used by both guests and housekeeping staff which can make for some long waits. All in all the hotel was OK but I might look for a better value if I returned to Breckenridge

This was our first trip to Breck and didn't know what to expect. Parking was included and it was heated and attached to the building, big plus. Had no issues with any of the staff. Service in the resturant needed to be alittle more attentive and could of used a midday meal time option. Pool and hot-tubs where good, could of used a mountain veiw from the outside hot-tubs to add to the experience, however they were well kept. Access to Main street was great and was close to the better shops and resturants. Take the free bus when possible to get back uphill to the lodge. The on-site proshop for skiing was very helpful. Short walk to Hill 9 lift from lodge was nice, walking back was a chore after long days of skiing. Overall great experience and would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was in a great location... Two blocks from Main St. and across the street from the lift. They have indoor and outdoor hot tubs which are great after a long day on the slopes. They do provide complimentary transportation to desired restaurants or shopping. Also they have complimentary ski/board storage so you dont have to carry all the way back to your room. It was clean and had a cozy feeling. The hotel is set up a little weird, I had to take two elevators to get to my room. But overall, for the price, it was well worth it. The Great Divide was definitely a great place to stay for a long weekend. We could walk across a parking lot to the slopes and they had ski storage at the hotel so we didn't need to mess around with trying to get them back up to our room. They also had a heated parking garage under the hotel. The one "complaint" that I'd have is simmilar to everyone elses. The elevator system is bad. The hotel has 10 or 11 floors. The first 2 floors are the garage, the lobby is on 3 and we stayed on 8. To get to our room, we had to take the elevator from the 3rd floor to the 6th floor, walk down a hallway and take another elevator from the 6th floor to the 8th.

After reading some reviews about this hotel online I was a little nervous before arriving, however my attitude quickly changed after we checked in. We planned to arrive in Breckenridge about 1PM so I called the hotel that morning to ask if we could have an early check-in and they said no problem. We checked in on a Monday night so that probably helped. I also confirmed over the phone that I would be receiving the King Bed room since that is what we reserved online and I had heard some complaints about people not getting the rooms they thought they reserved. When arrived at the hotel to check in we were assigned to a room on the 9th floor and I was disappointed because of the hotel layout we would have had to take 2 elevators to get there. So, we went and parked our car on the 2nd level and while we were waiting for the elevator the lady that checked us in came running over to us and told us that our room had been changed. We ended up with a room on the 6th floor on the south side. (You want floors 4-7 on the south side or 4-6 on the north side in order to avoid the multiple elevator issue). Needless to say I was very excited when I saw our new room # and thought it was very nice of her to come track us down. Again, I confirmed the room was a King room. We arrived at our room and it was HUGE! Bigger than I expected and much bigger than most chain hotels that we stay at. We did get the king room and everything worked fine. The staff was very nice to us. I think I find that the nicer you are to them the nicer they are to you and more willing to go out of their way for you. There was a mini-fridge in the room so we brought food for breakfast and lunch so we only had to eat out for dinner. This worked out great for us. We did eat in the hotel restaurant 1 night and it may have been the best meal we had all week. Very good for the price. Try the bread pudding for dessert - it is excellent! The girl working at the bar is very nice also and they have good happy hour/apres s
