Vincci Lys Hotel - Valencia

Das Hotel liegt in einer Fußgängerzone und daher ziemlich ruhig. Allerdings werden nachts Tische und Stühle der Straßencafés lautstark weggeräumt, was das Öffnen der Fenster nicht empfehlenswert macht. Das Zimmer (Standard) war sehr groß und komfortabel, das Personal an der Rezeption äußerst hilfsbereit und engagiert! - Von hier aus kann man die ganze Altstadt zu Fuß erkunden. Stadtpläne und Infos zu Bus und Metro gibt es an der Rezeption.

Sehr gute Empfehlung für eine entspannte Stadtbesichtigung von Valencia.

We stayed here for 3 nights & couldn't be happier with the hotel. The location is wonderful as it is a 2 minute walk from the Metro (25 min metro ride from the airport 1.90euro) and despite being very central and in the heart of the city it was still very peaceful as the street is pedestrianised. Our room was on the 4th floor at the front of the building and was very spacious and elegant, we also found the huge bed very comfortable and shower had hot water and good pressure. There was nothing we didnt like about this hotel. We cant comment on the Hotel restaurant it looked nice and evening meals seemed reasonably priced, we didnt have breakfast at the hotel due to the price and there were plenty of options within a 3 minute walk. Finally, we saw some other hotels during our stay, but for me if we went back it there would have to be an amazing offer to make me want to book somewhere other than the Vincci Lys. I would definitely go back as we thought it was very good value for the location and ambience of the Hotel.

My three friends and I stayed here for two nights. Excellent service and very helpful front desk staff. It is about 3 minutes walk from the main train station and 4/5 mins from the subway. Rooms are large and clean, with excellent showers. The area around the hotel has many good value restaurants and bars. In short, if you are staying in Valencia and want quality at a good price, dont look any further

This hotel is conveniently located near the city center, train station, and the Metro. The persons at the front desk were very helpful with directions. The food in the restaurant was excellent both breakfast and dinner.

The hotel was very convenient. It was in the middle of town. We were within walking distance of clothing shops, restaurants, train station and bus stops. This hotel is good if you like the hustle and bustle of city life when you walk out of the hotel. The front desk staff was very patient and informative. They had only 1 working elevator out of 2. It was not working when we got there and still not working when we left 2 days later. Luckily we were on the 2nd floor. The bathroom sinking was draining very slow. They fixed it promptly.

In summary, clean, large rooms, with good location, but lacking some common ammenities that could be found for free easily elsewhere. Read below for details. My wife and I spent 2 weeks in Spain, at 4 different hotels. This hotel had the largest and nicest rooms, however it was also the only hotel that did not provide free wifi, breakfast, or even TV for that matter. I knew most of that when I booked, so it was ok, but I wouldn't go back for that reason, now that I know those things are avaiable at comparable hotels for similar prices. Plus it was the only hotel that gave us 2 twin beds pushed together instead of a double or queen. The location was also great, but one staff member neglected to inform us the metro/tram to the beaches stop running at night even though she was the one who suggested we go see a fireworks show at the beach that started at 12. As a result we had an unexpected long walk home.

The location is great for access to the lovely old town and the shopping areas plus there were lots of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. We were very happy with the room - it was spacious, well decorated and comfortable and had doors onto a small balcony (not big enough to sit on). It was well equiped - air con, fridge/mini bar, safe - apart from there were no tea/coffee making facilities which would have been a great. However, the restaurant immediately outside the entrance to the hotel is good for a quick coffee and a pastry before heading out for the day. The only thing that was annoying was the internet access is really expensive (€19 per day!!)! for access in the room or in the communal areas of the hotel. But overall its a great hotel and I would definately recommend it.

As far as location, this hotel is perfectly situated. It is right in the center of the commercial section of Valencia on a mostly pedestrian only street. There are dozens of shops, restaurants and historical buildings within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel itself is very clean and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Amenities are somewhat lacking though. The bar/lounge is extremely small and closes early (around 11:30pm)compared to the rest of the city. Room service is not 24 hours so if you wake up with the munchies at 3am, you're out of luck. The onsite restaurant is somewhat expensive as well compared to most of the restaurants in the surrounding area. If you require an iron, you should bring your own because one won't be provided. They will iron your clothes for a price per garment though. If you request a queen bed, you may end up with two double beds pushed together (think 50's tv show) which is somewhat uncomfortable. It may be possible to change rooms if the hotel isn't completely booked though. This is a good hotel, providing you don't mind the lack of amenities. It's centrally located, clean and has a friendly, helpful staff. I'm not sure I'd consider this a four star hotel, but it was worth the stay.

Very nice hotel in great neighborhood near sites. Secluded street makes for a personal courtyard feeling to the front entrance. Lovely decor, lobby bar, good breakfast. We were surprised breakfast wasn't included in the price because it was rather expensive. Rooms were well decorated, well lit, and had all necessary items. However the A/C didn't work well in our room, but the people next door were too cold. Also a bit disappointed that the beds were only made with sheets (no bedspread or comforter) and we had only one pillow each.

A great hotel in a great position, ideally situated for site seeing, metro & rail station both of which we used and found excellant.

The hotel was very close to the shops and lots of places to eat and drink so it was great to step out and have everything on your doorstep. We upgraded to the junior suite with queen size bed because the hotel doesn't have many double beds just singles pushed together but they told us they were working on this so hopefully not a problem in the future. The breakfast was great, they even have small bottles of cava for free but it's was difficult to drink this in the morning! The staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good English.

We chose the hotel for its central position and were not disappointed. Only ten minutes walk from the main attractions,and within easy reach of buses, metro, train station. The hotel offered all the comforts and amenities of a 4 star hotel - large bedrooms and very comfortable beds, bedding and towels changed regularly,wide screen television-. We breakfasted in one of the many cafeterias nearby. The hotel is also close to the main shopping district. One of the trips we took was by train to Gandia where we found both a delightful town, and, a short ride away by local bus, a beautiful beach.

Only minutes walk from the station and close to all the historic sights this was an excellent base for our weekend. The rooms were large, comfortable and very resonably priced considering location and standard. Would definitely stay there again if in Valencia.

Excellent location, most things within easy walking distance. Rooms were spacious and clean. Staff very friendly. Only warning is they don't have any irons & boards - you have to pay for an ironing service which is expensive - iron before you go!

This was my second trip this year to Valencia, but my first to this hotel and I wasn't dissapointed, the hotel is beautiful, the room was immaculate and beautifully decorated. The staff were helpful. Valencia itself is a wonderful city, but if your Spanish is rusty take a phrase book with you, and the address as to where you are going if getting in a taxi - we asked to go to the Marina and got dropped off in the middle of an industrial estate! Also be vigilant with your handbags, we had one stolen while eating dinner near the cathedral and had to spend the next day with the Police, who are extremely rude and unhelpful. Apart from that the trip was great, and the beach is gorgeous.

We recently stayed 3 nights at this hotel, and had a wonderful stay. Our room was clean and comfortable and we were provided lavishly with all the toiletries we could possibly want. However we really only used it as a base because although the breakfast looked extremely appetising neither of us felt we could eat 15 euros worth (each). Just outside the hotle is a lovely little bar which a great many of the hotel guests used as well as us and at a fraction of the cost. The same went for the hotel restaurant which was like a ghost ship most of the time. Therefore our only criticisms relate to the cost of the food. We would certainly stay here again, and the fact that we could safely leave the car garaged for the whole time was what attracted us there in the first place.

Very centrally located, 5 mins walk from main train station and metro - very easy to get to via metro from airport. In amongst main shopping area and ten minutes walk from 'old town' which is fantastic for nightlife/bar culture.

THE HOTEL IS VERY CLEAN AND WELL KEPT IT IS IN AN IDEAL PLACE TO GET AROUND BEING ONLY A SHORT WALK TO THE CENTRE AND A METRO STATION ON THE CORNER. LOCAL BARS AND RESTAURANTS ARE ON EVERY CORNER AND THE HOTEL HAS 2 GOOD PLACES OUTSIDE THE DOOR OUR ONLY PROBLEM WAS THE VIEW FROM THE ROOM WAS OF A BRICK WALL, BUT IT WAS QUIET WHERE A ROOM ON THE FRONT MAY HAVE A LITTLE NOISE AND THE HOT WATER SUPPLY FOR THE SHOWER IS NOT GOOD DURING BUSY TIMES

This is a great hotel. We stayed here for 2 nights. It's in a really good location, surrounded by nice cafes and restaurants and only a couple of minutes walk from the main square. The rooms are spacious and well kept. On top of this, the staff are so friendly. The airline had lost our luggage and the reception staff were fantastic at helping us get them back. Couldn't thank them enough. I'd definitely stay here again as it was great value for money.

Very good hotel with exceptional value. Only weak point was the restaurant which lacked any atmosphere aswell as diners. Hotel well placed to visit all attractions. We stayed room only and used the pavement cafes for breakfasts. Room was well presented and very clean if slightly on the small size. Service was excellent with very friendly staff.

We checked into the Vincci Lys hotel around midnight to be greeted by a very friendly and efficient guy on reception. We were given room 503, and were delighted to find it had a terrace/balcony, which we weren't expecting at all. The room was spotlessly clean, with a great LCD TV, pillow menu, good quality toiletries and ample wardrobe space. The location of the hotel cannot be beaten; less than a 10 minute stroll into the centre of town where you will find lots of good bars and restaurants; nothing tacky in Valencia. I would recommend La Parpadelle for great italian food, and the Mey Mey for fantastic chinese. We spent two days at the beach; bus ride is 1.20 euros and takes between 35 - 45 minutes. You need to take bus no 19 which you can catch just round the corner from the hotel. Beaches are fantastic and very clean; costs 10.80 euros for 2 loungers and a parasol for the day. Also would recommend a trip to the Oceanografico which is at the Center for Arts & Sciences; a really great day out, especially for kids - shark tanks, dolphinarium etc. Overall really enjoyed Valencia, and were very pleased we picked this hotel - you won't be disappointed.

Lovely hotel just a few minutes walk from the station and metro. Very central but still quiet. Lots of good restaurants nearby and just minutes walk from the town centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and comfortable. Breakfast rather expensive but excellent. The choice of food was brilliant. Would definitely recommend the Vincci Lys and would go again tomorrow!

We loved staying at the hotel Vincci Lys. It was in a perfect location, the room was a suite which was very big-and an upgrade from what I orginally booked because they said all the other rooms were taken so that worked out well for us! The room decor was very elegant and pretty and well lit and airy. The bathtub was really big and roomy, and had a little ledge I could sit on to soak my feet! I enjoyed the complementary slippers. They even had umbrellas you could borrow since it was raining a couple days.

Nice room but my idea of real comfort is when there are two comfortable chairs in a double room, and there was only one. No non-smoking room available, and spa seemed to be permanently out of action. Don't have hotel breakfast unless really hungry. 15 euros far too expensive, but pot of tea (with pastries) at the bar a bargain at 2 euros. Good location for city sights, and use of metro for beach and airport.

Good --location --could not be beaten --quiet central close to the airport --right near the shops bars reastaurants Good---quiet --no cars or noise at night good--good 4 sat standard and amenities as you would expect Good---we were able to leave cases with reception on the last day till 2pm and they got us a taxi to the airport no problem Problem --there were wooden floors and noise came from up stairs and the nearby stairwell as we were next to it --but not a massive issue Problem--we were allocated at the rear and looked straight out onto a solid brick wall --again not huge as you are outside most of your stay Dont let this put you off --just be prepared we still enjoyed the hotel and Valencia is absolutely superb

This is the second time I've stayed in a Vincci hotel in Spain and I have no complaints. Good value, clean rooms with friendly and polite staff who speak English when required. Good location and plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. Very good if you want to shop as Calle Colon is just round the corner.

We visited over Easter '08. The hotel is in a convenient location in Valencia's old town within easy walking distance of the main square, restaurants and shops. The room was nice, clean and had everything we needed. I would recommend this hotel.

Top quality hotel at a very reasonable price. Only one complaint - we booked a double room (non-smoking) but were given a twin room on arrival. On querying this the receptionist said that the hotel did not have any double bed, non-smoking rooms (which I find a bit unlikely). However they switched us to a double bed 'smoking' room instead and, as the room itself did not smell of smoke, all was fine. The electronic key failed on us twice in two days forcing us to return to Reception from the 5th floor to get it fixed. (But this may have been because I was keeping the key next to my mobile phone, so can't really blame the hotel for this!) The hotel is very close the the centre of Old Valencia and only 100 yards from the nearest Metro station. (The Metro is cheap, clean and efficient but unfortunately does NOT yet go to one of Valencia's biggest tourist attractions - the City of Arts & Sciences. So jump on a bus, or talk a walk.) Would certainly go back to the Hotel Vincci Lys. Top quality place, well positioned and well priced, this hotel deserves its high-ranking position in the list of Valencia's top-rated hotels.

We picked this at very short notice and were not disappointed - spacious rooms, clean, comfortable and well priced. Our only complaint was a veryt limited evening menu, but it was the night of The Kings' festival so maybe everyone had gone out. In recompense the breakfast was wonderful - well presented and more choice than one could cope with. Highly Recommended.

The location can't be beat, the rooms are very comfortable & large, bathrooms are well-equiped, staff is friendly & helpful! This was our second stay at this hotel & we loved it!

Brilliant location right in the heart of Valencia. The rooms were superb. Staff very friendly with great service levels. Would certainly use this hotel on future visits to the lovely city of Valencia. Having stayed in Vincci Hotels in other regions of Spain, we have never been disappointed in the value for money and quality of service and rooms.

Nothing less than an exceptional hotel! Perfectly located for all the central activities, buses, trains and amazing 'street watching in the cafes and bars. Will always reccommend this hotel above all others in Valencia!

Ottimo Hotel, l'unica nota stonata è la mancanza di canali tv Italiani sul televisore

Vincci Lys ligger sentralt i Valencia. Resepsjon, rom og restaurant var veldig tiltalende. Gullende rent og fint, og det var ingen støy fra gatene på vårt rom ihvertfall. Resepsjonistene snakket godt engelsk.

Struttura carina, molto comodo al centro, area pedonale e quindi a me molto gradito, pulito, personale al banco non particolarmente pronto.

Ottima posizione: centrale, vicino alla frmata della metropolitana e del bus. Estremamente confortevole e curata la camera. Gentile e discreto il personale. Non ci siamo serviti della ristorazione, quindi non ci possiamo esprimere su questo aspetto. Ottimo il rapporto qualità - prezzo. Lo consiglieremo ai nostri amici.

Uitstekende ligging, midden in het centrum van kronkelende straatjes vol terrasjes en tapasbars (super aanrader: BALDO!) en toch rustig, geen geluidsoverlast! Heel aangenaam, mooi, comfortabel hotel, personeel heel behulpzaam en vriendelijk, kennis van het engels laat soms wat te wensen over (frans onbestaand). Nadeel: zand (na strandbezoek) op de vloer van de kamer werd gedurende 4 dagen niet gestofzuigd... Kuisploeg is heel luid rond 8u 's ochtends. Nette badkamer, maar geen stopcontact??? In het algemeen een absolute aanrader, zeker voor zijn prijs!

Hotellet har ett fantastiskt läge mycket nära järnvägsstationen och viktiga busslinjer. Serviceinriktad och välkomnande personal som hjälpte till med de frågor vi hade kring transpoter i och kring staden. Hotellet är synnerligen prisvärt, med tanke på läge och på det stora,tysta rum vi hade. Frukosten (19€) dock obegripligt dyr, dock finns bra alternativ nära. Valencia är en underbar stad med sin blandning av gammalt och nytt.
