Our check in clerk was great. Very helpful for first time visit to Vegas. Room was clean and very comfortable for four. Our one night stay was very satisfying.

I was really happy that this place took our pet since all the other surrounding hotels charged way way too much for just having a cat. Our cat liked this hotel. She would recomend it.

The breakfast was outstanding for a continental breakfast. The hours of the spa and pool were great--open 24 hours a day. The room was clean and spacious.

This is a great room for the money. It's fairly inexpensive and you get a great hot breakfast in the morning. The room has a thick curtain so it's dark when you sleep. The AC works great. I've stayed there the last few summers when traveling and it's a great place for someone on a budget. They take pets, but there is a small pet fee.

great customer service. really. can't say enough about how wonderful the staff is. anytime we've had a problem, they've made every effort to fix it and make it up to us. we've stayed here every year since we found it. great if you need a hotel in the henderson area, not so great if you want to do anything on the strip though. the hotel is quite old and shows it. but still clean and comfortable. the elevator is slow as molasses even though there are only 3 floors. you're better off with the stairs. the complimentary breakfast buffet is excellent (i recommend the waffles). the pool is indoor and heated. the restaurant in the casino is pretty darn good too - love the pie.

Beautifully maintained and the employees are helpful and friendly. We were very pleased how clean and comfortable the Hawthorne was. All the staf were very friendly and and very good food at the Casino next door.

Location was a couple of blocks from the beach. Room was comfortable but dated. Good value for the money.

We are from Wisconsin and to be able to get a non-smoking room with your pet does not exist in many states! We reserved a room for Tuesday night and after our confirmation with Hotel.com, we called the Hawthorne Hotel directly to insure if our room would be a non-smoking room and even took a 2nd floor room to be away from possible chorine smells from the first floor pool (which was most acceptable once we arrived). Also for a very reasonable pet fee, we were able to have our well behaved cat in the room with us. It was wonderful! The hotel is definitely very pet friendly and accommodating. The room was roomy, well maintained and CLEAN! The hotel staff assisted us in finding a non-smoking family restaurant a short driving distance away and the food there was excellent. Also the drive to and from the airport was simple to find from the hotel. We would definitely, stay at the Hawthorne Hotel again and recommend it highly based on our experience. Thank you!

Fit my location for our activities,was a nice hotel for the money. But for going to Vegas would stay closer to Vegas

The pool, hot tub and breakfast were very nice. Easy drive to Las Vegas or Hoover Dam.

Couldn't find hotel from website directions. Considered bad neighborhood by locals.

We were very happy with this clean, comfortable and quiet hotel. The breakfast, included in the price, was adequate, and the hotel has more in-room amenities than some pricier ones: fridge, microwave, iron, wireless, and coin-operated laundry facilities down the hall. No hidden charges either. The staff are also very polite and helpful.

room was very clean and with lots of walking around area. had, a little kitchenette with dishwasher, cubboards, microwave, fridge and sink! very convenient! lots of parking space. and the best was the breakfast. great waffles,eggs, sausage,fruit,etc. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The strip was close enough to drive to. But there is so much to see in Henderson. It was a very nice experience staying at the Hawthorne and yes, I would highly recomend staying there!!

good value friendly staff

My daughter was working on a school project while we were there and the people at the desk helped us with paper, print outs and faxes. Many hotels would have charged for these services but we were not charged and the friendly staff were happy to help.

This is a great hotel for an inexpensive trip. The accommodations and breakfast in the am is worth it.

This hotel is above average on service, staff friendliness and their continental style breakfast. However, the rooms really need some updating. The elevator is slow, televisions old and a make over would do it good. It does have the best cable television station and the staff does a great job trying to meet your needs. It's also pet friendly, if you like that sort of thing. I don't and I left my pet at home.

The hotel rooms are very dated. The lobby is nice. We were very surprised at the indoor pool and spa. Breakfast every morning was more than expected and the cable was great!

First impression, lobby was nice and smelled clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Comfortable room and nice variety of food for breakfast.

A very pleasant experience. The staff were very accomodating and handled things efficiently. The room was clean and quiet with a good TV and fridge. I would go back again in a heartbeat! The strip has seen me for the last time.

but nothing elaborate. Breakfast was included and good. Right next door to a casino w/ casual resturant. Close to shopping, dam, lake and strip. Felt safe. Frig. wasn't working. Front desk was helpful and friendly. It had an indoor pool but I didn't use it.

Very good quality at a very affordable rate!

We got a great rate on this hotel due to a last minute booking. It was very nice and clean. It had a nice indoor heated pool, which was small. The towels could have been thicker, but it wasn't bad. We felt comfortable there. We had a coffee maker and microwave in our room and there was a complimentary breakfast that was very convenient and buffet style. Not bad. It wasn't the lap of luxury, but very good for the price. We had an ironing board and iron in the room. Seems to me this is a nice place to stay when in town. Much better than a budget motel, but not a swank hotel by any means.

Rooms were nice and clean, included a mini fridge and microwave, and the free breakfast was awesome!

Enjoyed the stay. The clerk was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. And the place was clean and neat. I would recommend the Hotel to anyone.

Service at front desk was excellent. A quiet place. A little off the beaten path but worth the extra minutes to stay there. Good value for the money.

Very clean, comfortable rooms. Excellent constructions, the rooms are very quiet. If you want to be away from the strip, this is a very good choice.

outstanding hotel

Clean lobby, pool area, and breakfast area. Pretty good breakfast, too. The fact that it wasn't near the strip was a plus for us. We'll be back if and when we travel in that direction again.

We jad reserved two rooms but not all of our party were able to attend the graduation ceremony for our son. The desk clerk explained the rules over the phone and when we arrived. As it was they were able to sell the room within a few hours. We liked the breakfast accommodations and the kind service. Everything was "hunky dory"....next time we will remember to take our bathing suits.

just needed a decent room for a quick overnight stay in the las vegas area... was exactly what we thought it would be... a C+.

Nice firm mattresses; indoor pool and hot-tub; hot breakfast. We stayed here for less than $&) a night including tax thru hotels.com. Great location for boating at Lake Mead.

The staff at the hotel were very accommodating and allowed us to check in early, recommended a lunch location and called us when the room was ready. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great. My children had a great time swimming in the indoor heated pool. The location is exactly 1/2 way between the Las Vegas strip and the Hoover Dam.

After reading some prior reviews I was a bit worried about staying here. But once I arrived and checked in, those feelings went away. The staff was very polite and helpful. I brought my little dog along on the trip and found the hotel to be pet friendly.
