Radio Inn - Budapest

Die Lage des Radio Inns ist echt in Ordnung, nahe der Metro und auch in der Stadt ist man sehr schnell. Wir haben uns nicht wirklich viel im Hotel aufgehalten, da wir etwas von Budapest sehen wollten. Das Zimmer war ziemlich groß, eher ein Appartment mit Küche und einer Art Wohnzimmer, aber alles relativ alt. Die Sauberkeit war in Ordnung, man konnte zwar ein wenig Staub finden (wenn man danach sucht) aber nichts ekliges. Das einzige nicht so tolle war das Bett, es war eine alte Ausziehcouch, die schon ziemlich durchgelegen war - also nicht unbedingt etwas für jemanden mit Rückenproblemen. Das Frühstück haben wir nicht ausprobiert. Das Personal sprach gut Englisch und war auch sehr freundlich. Alles in allem für den Preis und für einen kurzen Städtetrip auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert.

Enjoyed the self catering option. The apartment is fairly basic but has all the necessary equipment. Even separate loo from bath room. We had apartment at the back overlooking greenery and enjoyed morning sun.

Radio Inn is not luxurious but doesn't pretend to be; as a base in Pest it is ideal for families or anyone not looking for room service or high-count sheets. It is very close to the excellent Budapest metro (the yellow line, which takes <10 minutes to downtown and <5 to the Oktogon area) and to the museums and parks off Heroes' Square. The apts are spacious if a bit sparse and very clean, the staff helpful and accommodating. Excellent value for money.

The hotel is very good value for the price. The rooms were ample in size and afforded us with enough space to house the three of us easily. Public transportation is near by and easily accessed with options to buy a two or three day pass for all the trams, trolleys and subway trains. The beds are, in my estimation, not very comfortable. It's a good value, basic accommodation.

The hotel is somewhat dated. The apartment/rooms were sparkling clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were disappointed to learn that the Hotels.com price did NOT include breakfast, almost unheard of in hotels in Budapest. The location is somewhat inconvenient, offset by a nearby metro station. (The hotel is within walking distance of Heroes Square.) But, one night we stayed out past the last metro train and it was a hike to the hotel. The neighborhood is quiet. On the downside, that means that there are few commercial establishments around. The night we went looking for a late night meal was frustrating. The establishments closest to the hotel were all quite pricey. Finally found a gem of a place -- a twenty-four hour restaurant. Unfortunately, I cannot give you directions from the hotel. Overall, I thought the rooms were fairly priced. We were looking for a bargain hotel and this fit the bill. To change any of the things I am complaining about would probably have meant more money. So.....you get what you pay for?

As the name implies the Radio Inn has had a lot of interesting people staying there. Sadly though it has seen better days. The rooms quite frankly are a little tatty, and the courtyard is scruffy and in desperate need of attention. I had an apartment, which was probably far more than I needed. Having said all this the location is superb, and the hotel is quiet. It's within spitting distance of the metro on Line 1 (arguable the line with the most character in the world) And it's easy to grab a beer in the friendly lobby after a hard day's sightseeing. I would definitely go back there again.

The apartment set-up is great if you're self-catering or staying for a couple of days. We had lots of questions for the staff and they were very helpful! Although the hotel itself is a little shabby and in need of a renovation, the location is unbeatable - on a quiet street near the Millennium Monument and right off of a metro stop. Great place if you're not expecting luxury from your accommodations and just want to enjoy the city!

This hotel was absolutely perfect for our stay in Budapest. Not only is it a very clean hotel, but it is HUGE by European standards. We rented a two-bedroom apartment for less than what a tiny closet would have cost in other name-brand hotels. The location is excellent, right in the heart of the embassy district. You can walk to both the train station and all the sights in less than 10 minutes. And if you don't want to walk much, public transit is very close and pretty cheap. If you are looking for a boutique hotel, or somewhere to stay by yourself, its probably not for you. But otherwise, its on a quiet and safe street. The front desk will arrange for a cab to the airport much cheaper than you will be able to find on your own. You even get a large bathtub and shower! I found nothing bad about this hotel and will definitely stay here if I find myself in Budapest again.

Pleasantly surprised by how big the rooms were and that we had a kitchen. Also very firm and comfortable beds. My wife has been blabbing about the pillows for days now. She is making me go back to the hotel very soon so she can enjoy the pillows again. Also great location... a quiet neighborhood and a short walk to museums, the park, and the baths.

Hotellet var på ingen måte noe spesielt, men ingenting å klage på heller. Til den prisen var det verdt pengene. Det er relativt romselige leiligheter med et stort kombinert stue/soverom, en gang, kjøkken, bad og toalett. Bittelite kjøleskap, gasskomfyr og alle tallerkener, gryter etc. Bitteliten TV også, som har ørten ungarske kanaler. Kun Sky News, Euronews og MTV hvor de snakket engelsk. Dessuten hadde de en kinesisk kanal hvor de, fornøyelig nok, snakket kinesisk. Meget rolig område, nesten bare ambassader som naboer.
