The Hotel is old and has problems. The AC is very noisy as the 500 birds that sleep in the threes in front of the Hotel. The mattress was very worn out and the combination of everything made sleeping almost impossible. The rooms a nice and big they only need to update everything a bit and it can be a good place again.

quality place, great pool, a bit out of the way, be prepared to spend lots on taxi. a shame the fitness room is in shambles.

This is a beautiful hotel. Yes, the rooms could use a little updating, but everything was impeccably maintained and very nice (and I'm really picky). We left the maid a nice tip because she did a fantastic job. They gave us a beautiful room facing the pool and the ocean beyond, with a nice balcony. For $30 extra, we upgraded to club level, which is well worth it. You may have continental breakfast at the club level, or you can go to the downstairs restaurant for an incredible buffet (this is included with the $30 extra). Impeccable service. The club level also offers a lunch and dinner service, but we did not try those. It is a beautiful lounge, beautiful pool, beautiful grounds. I will definitely stay here again!

the irons and ironing boards are no good they need to be replaced

If you don't plan on eating breakfast, upgrade is not necessary. The rate offered by Hotels.com is the best available, and when you check in, they will offer you an upgrade to "business class". If you plan on being out most of the day, it really isn't necessary. The breakfast dowstairs if better than on the 5th floor. The staff is very helpful, I called for more pillows, and complained about the mattress, they changed it for another one!! I was very satisfied with their response.

Happy to report intenet service is much improved from previous visits. Parking system is complicated...they bill you for the time you park everytime you move your car, it would be easier if they just charged you a daily rate. Otherwise service is good, and the hotel is fine, although showing it's age.

The service was superb but the hotel is showing its age. It was still a good value for the price paid. Long ride from the airport.

If the hotel would insure the internet, wireless and wired worked or even improved the installation, this could be an excellent business hotel. It is located in a nice area and the lobby environment offers a great place to meet and discuss business BUT with today's need for internet, one has to look elsewhere for a good business place.

not a 5 star as advertised, more like 3 1/2 needs serious improvement, new furniture, etc. slow internet, unimpressive breakfast

Dont expect to pay for parking No tea or coffee facilities in room

They need to include more services in the room stay, it was too expensive and they charge for parking!

I stayed two and one half weeks at the Embajador, and I thought it was a great bargain for the money. I got a special rate that was great. The only problem I had was with the inconsistency with the internet connection in my room. I chose this hotel because I wanted to stay in touch with my work and with friends through the internet, and they advertise internet connection in every room. However, it was non-functional as much as it was functional. The staff were very pleasant at listening to my complaints, but they rarely did anything to help. Everything seemed to depend on one internet guy, who was not always there. However, those problems aside, I would still stay there again. It is a lovely hotel, the staff are great, the pool is great, and the food is great as well. The food is expensive, however, but very good.

This hotel had adult nightlife in lobby that would not be appropriate for children. I would not stay here again. The staff was somewhat helpful. In a pinch it would be okay to stay for a night or two. The restaurant was expensive and the food was so. so.

It has a very nice ambiant. The installations reminded me a hotel in Thailand; It had an asian decor. The service was excellent and the food was vere good. The personel made an authentic efford in keeping the guests busy with activities and entretaiment.

The hotel offered an inclusive breakfast. Just don't wait for brunch because it is extremely expensive. It was $1000 pesos for person and then included tax. The bill came out to more than we've paid an the most expensive restaurant in town.

The hotel was nice. the room was exactly as I requested although many things which are STANDARD in other hotels at similar prices were extra here, ( examples: internet access, mini bar) When I booked the hotel the agency I booked with said breakfast was included but when I arrived I was told it was not,(that I didn't pay enough for the room to include breakfast). Other that this, the staff was excellent and the outside dining under the huge tree was very,very nice. I would stay again if the previously mentioned items were seen to.

This is a very swank, luxurious hotel. It is not particularly close to the "happening" places in town, which may be a benefit except for the need to take a cab whereever you go. The restaurant is excellent but very expensive. The pool is lovely, but there is little shallow area. Not a place I'd recommend for families with young children.

chargé d histoire, ayant su conserver son carractère, cet hotel est remarquable bien placé, au coeur de la ville, parking facile, il dispose d'un jardin splendide autour de la piscine. Ce n est pas un hotel de plage pour y passer 8 j, mais une excellente adresse pour rayonner dans la capitale (tourisme ou professionnel)

Hôtel vieillot qui ne mérite pas ses 5 étoiles. Le personnel n'est pas très accueillant. Le petit déjeuner est TRES maigre
