Hotel Normafa - Budapest

wir hatten einen sehr schoenen Aufenthalt im Hotel Das Personal war nett das Hotel sauber und huebsch eingerichtet Der Pool und die Aussenanlage sind super Leider lief die Dampfsauna nicht Vom Zentrum ist man zwar zwanzig bis dreissig Minuten entfernt aber die Busse hoch zum Hotel fahren sehr haeufig so dass wir nie lange Wartezeiten hatten

Das Hotel war eines von 3 Stationen unserer Städtetout und mit Abstand das Beste. Der eigentliche Nachteil schien die grosse Entfernung zur Stadt zu sein, in der praxis waren wir aber schneller da als z.B. von unserem Innenstadthotel in Prag. Der Bus fährt alle 8-10 Minuten fast direkt vom Haus bis zum zentralen Verkehrsknoten Moskauer Platz. Für das Fitness-Studio hatten wir keine Zeit, aber den Pool und die Sauna haben wir in den 4 Tagen zumindestens einmal benutzt, alles sehr in Schuss. Das Auto konnte man im Hotelgelände parken, wenn man wollte gabs nachmittags Kaffee und Kuchen - alles inclusive. An der Rezeption konnte man sehr gut deutsch (besser als Englisch). Eine absolute Empfhelung für Städtereisende!

1. Unser Fazit:Das war ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt in Budapest. 2. Anreise:Der Bus Linie 90 hält direkt vor dem Hotel im 10 Minutentakt. 25 Min bis zur Metro3, von da sind es noch 5 Min bis zum Zentrum. Am besten ein 7 Tageticket für 4000hr kaufen, damit kann man den gesamten Nahverkehr nutzen. 3. Das Hotel: Das Hotelpersonal spricht Deutsch und ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Prima Frühstücksbüfett. Mittagessen na ja, gut fürs Auge. Die Zimmer haben doch so einige Macken. Im 2.OG rechts (Zi225) hört man die immer die Lüftungventilatoren der vermutlich Küche. Viele kleine Macken im Bad. Ansonsten schön eingerichtete Zimmer. Es wird täglich gut gereinigt. Der Wellnessbereich ist super. Bademantel und Handtücher werden gestellt. Das Schwimmbad ein Traum.Das Hotel liegt am Rande eines Ausflugsgebietes mit viel schöner Natur und Blick auf Budapest (sieht abends toll aus) 4. Gesamturteil: Wer eine Städtereise plant und dann abends auch die Ruhe des Stadtrandes in schöner Umgebung sucht (nur immer laufen in der Stadt ist doch anstrengend), dem können wir dieses Hotel nur empfehlen. Gesamturteil: Wir haben uns im Hotel Normafa sehr wohl gefühlt.

Wir haben 5 Tage im Normafa Hotel verbracht und waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Komfort und der Freudlichkeit des Personals (relativ gute Deutschkenntnisse). Die Zimmer sind nicht sehr groß, aber mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht und sehr sauber. Die Lage ist ruhig in einem Naherholungsgebiet und gut mit dem Bus 90 bzw. 90A zu erreichen, der alle 7 Minuten zum Moskau-Platz in der Stadt fährt. Der Wellnessbereich hat nicht ganz überzeugt, die Saunen etwas lieblos im Keller, dafür lädt ein großer, beheizter Außenpool (separates Kinderbecken) zum Schwimmen ein. Auch die Qualität der Speisen in den beiden Hotelrestaurants war sehr gut.

Wir sind mit dem Auto angereist und haben ein Navi benutzt. Es empfiehlt sich den Weg auf der Karte vorher anzusehen, wir wiurden durch sehr steile und enge Strassen geführt (wenn es sie überhaupt gab). Das Hotel selber ist super, auch wenn wir nicht alle Annehmlichkeiten getestet haben, wir waren 2 Tage zum Stadt angucken da. Service, Personal, Frühstück alles super. Echt zu empfehlen.

Nette Saunalandschaft und Poolbereich

My husband and I brought our 11 month old to the Normafa for her first trip abroad. this hotel is very well located (book the fixed price taxi directly with the hotel).When we arrived, we were given a CHOICE of two rooms (the air conditioned one being slightly smaller of the two). The only criticism of the room was that there was a mysterious pooling of water on the floor three or four times during our stay (it was clean water).It was easily wiped up, but my only criticism of the staff was a lack of understanding/lack of urgency in attenting to it (not sure which). The breakfast is great (earl grey tea, great coffee and REAL juices) etc.. The pools (two, one for children) are lovely. Beware the depth of the adult pool though!! It's 150cm (at least) deep EVERYWHERE. There is also a 5 aside soccer pitch, two playgounds, a volley ball pitch and if you are interested in nature, it's right on the edge of a major forrest park. Getting into city is easy (90 or 90A) bus right outseide the hotel, all the way to the metro station mosko ter, and there it is. (Get tickets in hotel on way in....but get them in metro station on way back out, as they are even cheeper 475 forints for a bus and metro ticket combined (called a transfer ticket) (as opposed to 300 each). Some of the service in the cafe/grill, as it was a little on the slow side (oddly enough on the nights that they were not busy). Will go again!!

This is a lovely hotel, the staff are very helpful and friendly. Although it is outside the city centre the bus service is very regular and it was worth it to have the pool and area outside for relaxing.

We stayed here after spending four days in the city and it was a great way to end our holiday in Budapest.. This resort hotel has a lovely warm chidlrens pool and cooler adult pool and lots of other amenities, sauna, steam room, massages, table tennis etc. . It has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and helpful but not overbearing staff.

This hotel is excellent value for money. As long as you don't mind not being in the city centre, this hotel is perfect. The location gives added value to a city break. It is a pleasant 20 minute bus ride to all other transport links into the centre. The hotel is clean, comfortable and set in beautiful countryside. Excellent helpful staff.

I loved it. the staff were great, the rooms nice, the included breakfast excellent. There was a sauna and fitness equipment. I should say that the bed and pillows could use updating, but I would go back in a heart beat. The surroundings are beautiful, by a national park int he buda hills, and with views of the city proper. I wouldnt want to be there without a car thoughQ!

Wonderfully comfortable hotel. Rooms spotlessly clean. Only slight complaint was that the pillows were too soft! Breakfast - buffet choice excellent and much else could be had at extra cost. Good evening meals also available. Staff very friendly and helpful. Distance from town centre is no real problem as the bus service is so good. However, older guests may find they miss the ability to wander in and out of their hotel, from the town centre, as they wish.

Hotel Normafa surpassed my expectations,whle it is outside of the city,there are regular buses into the city and the staff will give plenty of information as to what bus to get and will organise a bus ticket for you.The staff were so helpful,anything we forgot o bring they happily lent to us,the rooms were prfect and the breakfast was flawless.We did not take any notice ofthe bus trip int the citydue to the beautiful surroundings.

We stayed here for 6 nights in August 2008. The staff were wonderful; they were always helpful and friendly. The breakfast was spectacular. The pool area is very nice and the setting is relaxing. You have to take a 20 minute bus ride to get to the train station, but if you don't mind that it's a nice place to stay. We got a little tired of the bus ride so we probably wouldn't stay there again. It was extremely hot when we were there and our room was quite hot, but they gave us a fan when requested, which helped. There is a nice park right next door full of trails; my husband went running every morning. Overall it's a great hotel, just be sure you're fine with staying away from most of the sights and the center city.

On top of hill out of city. Worth the 10 minute trip on bus. My husband loved the bird watching & walking in wood opposite hotel each morning & i loved the coffee & cakes in city in afternoon. Great transport available to get around loved the art galleries, market, St Charles Basilica - beautiful concert evenings. Would highly recommend the hotel if you like to mix nature walks with city sight seeing.

beautiful hotel. fantastic food, friendly service. If you dont mind travelling a bit into the city centre but transport is very regular and very reasonably priced. my one and only complaint is that the bedrooms are stifling hot. we stayed in a suite which wasnt that much more expensive.

We arriveed at the railway station and were told that the hotel was way away from the city. After a very speedy metro ride and an enjoyable ride on the no 90 bus we arrived at the hotel and were delighted with what a lovelhy place it was, the staff were very helpful and provided us with a room for 3 hrs while our suite was prepared. We would return to this hotel Barry and Chris 15.09.08

This was a really good hotel, the staff were friendly (and spoke English) the location was relaxing and the facilities excellent, with heated swimming pool, sauna, steam room, gym, children?s play area, volley ball pitch and small football pitch The breakfast was nice, with the option of having a cooked breakfast made to order. The only negative we found was the restaurants didn't offer much in the way of a lunch time menu and was expensive. The hotel is located outside the city centre in a relaxing environment. The bus stop is just outside the hotel with frequent buses into the city (which take about 20mins). Overall would recommend.

The Normafa was a welcome retreat from the faster pace of the city life of Budapest. The breakfast choices were excellent and the food served in the restaurant was very nice.

Situated high on the Buda side, this hotel had an Alpine feel. Breakfast was excellent and we felt the whole experience was really good value. The rooms were very good and the pool, gym, etc., were of a high standard. We had a friend with us who had a massage that she felt was the best she ever had. In hotel restaurant was excellent with masses of choice, and the grill at the top of the road was also very good. With the onsite activities would suit families or couples. Bus stop just outside for good value and easy access into the City.

Location really good as only 20 mins from town on a very regular bus/train service, but sooo relaxing in the Buda hills. Great service, breakfast and good enough rooms make this an excellent choice if your thinknig of a trip to wonderful Budapest.

The hotel was wonderful. The room was very nice and the hotel grounds beautiful. The surrounding area was beautiful,heavily wooded with walking trails. The hotel restaurant was very nice and the breakfast wonderful. The hotel staff were great and spoke good English. The only downside is that the hotel is on the outskirts of town. It is about a 25 minute bus ride to central Buda and then about a 5-10 minute subway ride to the center of Pest.

Although this hotels appears out of the way, it has easy access to Budapest via close public transport. It's in a lovely neighborhood with a park that overlooks Budapest. Full included breakfast is great, staff were really kind and helpful, enjoyed the Jr Suite with balcony and you can't beat a $34 massage in their Spa. Excellent value for money. They even packed us an early breakfast when we left for the airport at 4 AM!

This quiet retreat up high on the hill above Budda with stunning views, excellent facilities and all for a low price is a treasure. My girl friend and I are both young but still found this hotel excellent value. 20 minutes from the city was not an issue but for me the swimming pool and sauna/stream room was excellent. The gym is minimal but still good. The cycling forest trails are brilliant and with lots of locals people using them its is not exactly quiet. This was an excellent base to relax.

Very welcoming staff who looked really pleased to see you. Very helpful. Heated outdoor pool available for swimmers even with snow on ground.

I would definitely recommend this hotel, the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and comfortable, the amenities were great and although it was a little far from town if you're going for the nightlife, the public transport is excellent, with a stop literally 30 seconds from the hotel. Would definitely stay again!

Stayed for 4 nights in October 2007. Service very good and very friendly. Breakfast very good and they will cook something fresh for you if you want it. It's about half an hour out of the city on the excellent public transport system.

Hotellet er smukt beliggende tæt ved skov og udsigtspunkter, med udsigt over Budapest., Beliggenheden er noget uden for byen, med der kører busser (90A) med korte intervaller, der i øvrigt er gratis for +65 årgange, lige som Metro. situé tout en haut d une colline (8km) au bord d un tres grand parc, reposant et confortable! interessant pour les amateurs de nature et de sport! les chambre un peu étriquée (petite ) parking gratuit , poste internet gratuit mais "vieillot".

De kamervertrekken zijn keurig (wel een beetje gedateerd) verzorgd en ook, met alle gemakken voorzien, ingericht. Het restaurant is prima. Door de afgelegenligging heeft u geen last van drukte. Het ligt in een prachtig natuurgebied midden in de drukke stad.

Bra läge, lagom avstånd till staden, trevlig personal, anständiga rum, bra pool med tillhörande restauranger, bra träningsmöjligheter-styrketräning,löpning, mountain bike, bra frukost kombinerad med buffé + ala carte! perfekt för barnfamilj under sommaren att "jäsa" vid poolen för att på eftermiddagen åka på sevärdheter

normafa var ett utmärk hotell i budapest som låg högst upp på berget buda, ren luft och trevlig atmosfär (lungt och skönt) personalen var trevlig och hjälpsam endast 20 min med buss till centrum vi återkommer hjärna,

Normafa kan varmt anbefales hvis man kan leve med en transporttid på ca.15 min. i bus til- og fra midtbyen. Hotellet er rigtigt godt, og morgenmaden er OK. Værelser er også OK, men de 4 stjerner er ikke helt efter DK standard, 3 er mere passende. Poolområdet er dejligt, og rent, og så er der lige et + oveni. Servering af drikkelse helt ned til poolkanten.

Hotellet svarte absolutt til forventningene,med topp service. Barnevennlig.Fin beliggenhet hvis man ikke ønsker å bo i sentrum.

*Tänk er ett Scandic med utomhuspool. *Det fanns inte balkong på rummen och inte madrasser till solstolarna till alla gäster. *Väldigt bra kommunikationer. *Ett fräscht hotell med grym frukost!

Du kan komme til hotellet med det offentlige , tag bus 90 eller 90 A fra Moszkwo ter, stoppestedet ligger oppe forenden af trappen, der er på pladsen. Hotellet ligger i et natur skønt område. Der er mange småbørns familier på hotellet pga. hotellet udendørs faciliteter med pool og legeplads m.m.

hotel dans les collines de Budapest mais accès au centre ville très rapide par bus à 50mde l'hôtel, et même bus de nuit. très bons services : restauration, petit déjeuner extra, piscine chauffée, fitness... seul bémol : velux dans notre chambre d'où pas de vue.

Un havre de paix montagnard à 20 minutes du centre ville . Il neigeait quand nous y sommes allés on se serait cru au tyrol . Un bon établissement , des chambres vastes et confortables bien insonorisées . Un restaurant de qualité à la décoration chaleureuse, des mets authentiques( oie, foie frais) aprétés avec justesse , un service attentif et aimable . Des petits déjeuner gargantuesques avec du vrai jus d'orange . Un sans faute intégral !

Prima hotel, vooral het ontbijt is uitstekend. Minpuntje: kleine douchecabine, waarvan een deur los hing: Slordig !

Prima hotel, vriendelijk personeel, lekker ontbijt, goede kamer en last but not least: prachtig gelegen met uitzicht over Budapest.

Ett trevligt hotell nära naturen med underbar personal som alltid hälsade med ett leende.

Hotellet ligger lidt isoleret ift Budapest og har en skuffende kvalitet. Der er ingen air-conditioning, rummene er små og lettere slidte. Restauranten kunne godt overveje, at få et par internationale retter på menu-kortet, da traditionel ungarsk er en tand for mærkelig efter vores smag. Derudover er der meget lydt og man kan snildt hører højlydt snak fra gange og andre værelser. Men det positive ligger i faciliteterne, som absolut er fede for en børnefamilie - her er hotellet helt i top!

Ett bra hotell med pool. Väldigt bra frukost. Enda minus är tråkiga tv-kanal för svensk publik. Och hotellets restauranter är lite dyra.
