alles entspricht dem niveau, leider kein zusätzliches dankeschön - obst,kaffee alles nur gegen zusätzlicher bezahlung. bei 5 sterne gehört das eigentlich dazu

We were very impressed by this hotel

The hotel is quite stunning and the rooms were very comfortable. I was concerned about noise when I realized it was on a main road, but it was not a problem at all. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the hotel is on a main tram line so getting around is easy too.

Impressive grand style hotel. Very helpful, friendly staff, especially helping with train reservations to go to Prague, also figuring out the city tram system.

Arrived in Budapest to a smooth check-in and pleasant staff at all levels, with excellent English spoken everywhere in the city. Apart from unremarkable view from our window, and maybe a slightly smaller than expected bedroom (and a lack of tea bags maybe?), everything else was great about the place. Lovely quiet room with little passing traffic, as requested. Could not fault the hotel staff in all areas, and amenities and general area was perfect for a short trip.

The Executive Package is the best deal in the world. Take it. Spa also great but was crowded when we were there. It was a hot week so pool activity would be expected.

Thanks to hotels.com, my girlfriend and I stayed at the Corinthia for a great price. We are a young couple on a backpacking trip, and we rarely splurge on high-end hotels. Our experience was a good one: the room was clean, everyone was nice, and the location is wonderful. Recommended, if you can get a good rate comparable to other 4-star hotels. Be warned: bountiful breakfast buffet is not included, and is not cheap. Also, in-room TVs have not yet been upgraded to flat-screens or HD.

Overall, the hotel was wonderful; the accomodations were excellent. It was located on a street with go-go bars, but they presented no problem. It was a short walk to most attraction sites. The only problem was a humming sound that sometimes kept me up at night. The management offeredto change our rooms but we did notwant to go through with the hassle of moving.

Great location. Service in hotel and exec. loungeA+. From breakfast til 22.30 snacks, drinks and internet in a relaxing friendly environment. Spa was very good, but thermal spas around the city are also a must. Close to the opera and excellent affordable dining. Don't consider any other hotel.

Arrived in Budapest in the middle of a train journey from London down to Istanbul, and were in need of some well-earned R&R. As soon as we arrived at the Hotel Grand Corinthia my wife and I knew it was special. For a start, it is a luxurious hotel, with spacious, modern and well-maintained public areas. On checking in, we were offered a free upgrade to the hotel's Executive Club, which provides a separate lounge, free drinks, breakfast, lunch and nibbles. We weren't quite sure why this was provided - maybe because we were staying more than one night, maybe because this was a simple way for them to provide a free breakfast within the Hotels.com deal. Our room was very comfortable and well-equipped, if a little gloomy. The mini-bar is ludicrously expensive! The spa is spacious and rather lovely, and has a really good-sized pool, steam room, sauna, jacuzzis and several nooks for lounging. Breakfast was lovely, with many choices. There is a bistro next door which is part of the hotel but is open to non-residents too. We had an excellent and reasonably-priced meal there one evening. Get yourselves a metro/tram/bus pass for the duration of your stay - you won't regret it, as you can hop on and off at ease. Buy one at the local metro station. All in all a fantastic stay. The hotel is beautiful, in a nice area of the city center and just a short walk from the Octogon metro station if you want to use the underground to get around the city. The rooms and bathrooms in the hotel were very clean and the room had air conditioning which was great as it was quite hot in Budapest when I stayed. The room was large and comfortable. Any staff that I interacted with spoke great english and were very helpful. The only moan i would have was the price of drinks in the hotel bar and the price of drinks in the minibar even for a water, juice or coke. I appreciate its a luxury hotel but in comparison to the prices charged in the bars and restaurants of Budapest it was obscene. I nearly choked when I got my bill for 2 drinks in the hotel bar it even made Dublin alcohol prices look cheap and believe me thats saying something. I didn't eat in the hotel so I can't comment on the food. Aside from that I would not hesitate to stay in this hotel again if i am visiting Budapest I would highly recommend it.

Nice hotel in a great building. Good service. The few cons: - Poor wireless internet reception in our room. - Expensive (relatively) extra services. - Concierge was not too helpful for a hotel of this quality. For example, they seem to have a list of restaurants to suggest but they seemed to have trouble explaining the differences between various options.

magnificent architecture, beautiful room, great location service was excellent - a most perfect place when a traveler needs some rest and relaxation after a day spent on business or sightseeing, there is no better!

Simply put, the Corinthia Grand Hotel Budapest is an oasis of luxury smack in the middle of Budapest. The rooms are very comfortable, with great beds and well-appointed bathrooms, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. What really puts the hotel into a league of its own, however, is the exquisite and beautiful spa on site, with sauna, whirlpool, swimming pool, with an assortment of treatments offered. The only drawback to the hotel is the relatively small gym.

Beautiful, comfortable and luxurious. the hotel is kept very clean, the staff are friendly and ther is a nice relaxed atmosphere. Great mucis in the evening and the SPA is a must. location is great tram right outside.

Beautiful hotel with excellent amenities Very friendly and helpful staff. The Executive lounge is wonderful with snacks and refreshments available free all day long. Well worth the small extra. Only powdered milk on the hospitalaity tray for you tea & coffee. If you want fresh milk for your tea you have to order and pay for it from house keeping. Those rooms facing the onto the atriums feel a little gloomy as there is no direct sunlight and energy saving light bulbs are used. They also feel a little stuffy as there is no fresh air as the windows open onto the atrium. The real problem that spoils what would be a perfect hotel is that the glass & marble atrium magnify any sound. The Hungarian folk band that plays on a Saturday night until midnight might as well be playing in the room next door. If you are unlucky enough to be there when a reception is being held there, this can be heard though out a lot of the hotel until the early hours of the morning. If you are offered a room at the front of the hotel (as we were when we couldn’t sleep in our own room due to the above reception), beware you are on a very busy main road with trams, motorbikes and emergency vehicles. The glazing is so poor that you might as well have the window open. (I am not a light sleeper, and we ended up moving back to our original room at 4:00 am when the reception finished) So if you don’t mind not sleeping a wonderful hotel in a good location

The Hotel was a bit further away from the river than imagined however it was only 5 minutes to the New York Cafe ,and Andrassy Street with all the fantastic shops and Opera..The hotel lobby is stunning with a fantastic staircase fit for a princess. The rooms were average for a five star hotel, good bathrooms with separate shower area..The atrium area was lovely and gave a feeling of being outdoors indoors .The staff are all very efficient and friendly. The barstaff make the cocktails perfectly ,kir royales just as they should be.The coffee shop has the most delicious spinach pastries ,ideal for breakfast. The spa is lovely and the pool area was lovely . Spa treatments were reasonably priced . I would definately return to this hotel.

the grand hotel is indeed that..room was spotless. we were upgraded on arrival and very well looked after. the spa was great and the location is unbeatable!

Very nice rooms. Good location. Music (classical piano) in the common areas was audible in my room as late as 11 pm. This was a little annoying when trying to recover from jet lag. Otherwise, great place to stay.

Traditional style hotel that has been completeley renovated and refurbished. Stunning beautiful. Had 2 bedroom suite with living room and kitchen in their residence building adjacent to hotel. Off season price was a bargain.

I can't rate this hotel highly enough - we booked an executive room. They upgrade one guest daily and we were chosen for an upgrade to a junior suite with wine and fruit waiting and a fab reclining massage chair in the 5 senses suite. I didn't expect the executive club to include champagne for breakfast, lunch, tea- coctails from 5.30-7pm and full breakfast. If it wasn't our first trip to Budapest, I don't think we'd have left the hotel! great location and public transport outside the door.

extra money for executive room well spent. stay here & don't bother with the public baths. very convient tram stop outside hotel & you can buy tram tickets in hotel gift shop. outstanding staff.

Myself and my fiance stayed here for two nights and loved every minute. The service was the best I have ever received and we loved the spa. Saturday night we were serenaded by a quartet who played a piece especially for us and I would definitely recommend the executive floor for all the yummy cakes, canapes and bubbly! A wonderful and special two days.. would definitely recommend to all and we were so impressed. Well worth the money.

The Corinthia Grand Hotel Royal in Budapest, Hungary is a GREAT hotel!! I highly recommend the hotel!! All the hotel staff were very professional and very helpful!! It's a great place to stay and within walking distance to a lot of attractions.

the hotel experience was great here! Wonderful room, great welcome pack - a chocolate cake, a basket of fruit and a wine. A very helpful but not too present staff. Very attentive to all needs and greatly located.

The room had a hotel chain feel. Bottled wate and minibar charges were excessive.

Tram to city stops right outside hotel and subway lines are accessible at the end of the block (Oktagon). Great service and beautiful, historic property. Found great value in the Executive Level. Free food and drinks available throughout the day. Nice area to relax and plan your sightseeing. Felt the premium for this lounge was well worth the price.

spectacular hotel, convenient location, great service, good food & as expected: pricy

We really enjoyed our stay here. Very clean, comfortable beds and free wireless. That was a big plus for us. Much cheaper to book through hotels.com than through the hotel site.

I loved this hotel. It is a beautiful top of the line place to stay. The staff was very good, and everything was very clean. The gym had very new and updated equipment. The pools were comfortable. The bar and restaurant looked nice, but I did not go to ether. The weekend brunch was delicious. A very classy place.

everything about this hotel was great. staff was friendly and very helpful, rooms were spacious and spotless. we upgraded to executive level and were treated like royalty!

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. On the first night, we asked for air conditioning repair and were told an engineer would be coming up. Several hours later, someone from the front desk called and said they could control the temperature from there. Huh? It was never fixed. The location is on a seedy block, there's a glass kiosk 25 steps from the front door filled with rotting garbage. The spa is very nice, pool is delightful and relaxing. Extras at the hotel are a total rip off. There was a bottle of water in the room for the equivalent of $16.00USD. I had an injury which needed to be iced nightly. They wanted to charge us $10.00USD for one bucket of ice. Breakfast buffet is $45.00USD. Outrageous. The mattress felt like it was 20 years old, very uncomfortable. Our room looked on to an interior courtyard which was lit up all night. The "black out" drapes were too narrow for the windows and it never got dark in the room. The interior courtyard hindered our ability to tell what the weather outside was, an inconvenience.

We needed a place to stay in Budapest when our apartment rental didn't work out. We went to hotels.com and found a high rating for The Corinthia Grand Hotel Royal. We booked it and stayed for 8 delightful nights. The staff was exceptionally helpful and the hotel itself beautiful. The rooms are very quiet and the hotel conviently located in the city. The staff helped with suggestions for restaurants and getting tickets to activities. Our trip to the beautiful city of Budapest was wonderful due to this hotel and staff.

outstanding hotel...we absolutely loved the facilities and the service. the only hiccup was a dinner in one of the hotel restaurants where we received very poor service from a specific waiter. all in all, however, it was an immensely pleasant stay and a great hub from which to see budapest

Hotel är helt OK, men saknar det lilla extra, för att få högsta betyg,opersonligt, dyrt. Nästa resan kommer att testa ett annat hotel.

Un très bon rapport qualité-prix pour un établissement luxueux (lobby, salons...); notre chambre (qui n'était pas "executive"), était très confortable mais la décoration était plutôt standard. Nous avons apprécié le calme et les équipements du spa (piscine, jaccuzzi, lits de repos) ainsi que l'amabilité du personnel.

Flott hotell. Vi hadde et utrolig hyggelig opphold her. Betjeningen var svært serviceminded og hjelpsomme. De reserverte bord for oss på restaurant, og da vi glemte noen varer bak i en Taxi gjorde de en stor innsats for å spore den opp for oss. Veldig flott badebasseng. Super spa-avdeling. Drar gjerne tilbake. Dyr minibar..
