Mamaison Riverside Prague - Prag

Ich habe den Wochenendaufenthalt im Mamaison Riverside sehr genossen. Die Entfernung zu den touristischen Highlights sind überschaubar; der Service ist bestens und das Zimmer war sehr angenehm.

Wir waren im September 2008 im Riverside Hotel und haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Zimmer ist sehr sauber und stilvoll möbliert und der Blick über die Moldau ist unbezahlbar. Die Lage des Hotels ist ideal für einen gemütlichen 15-Minuten Spaziergang vorbei an den prächtigen Häusern am Fluss hinein in die Stadt. Cafe Savoy und Cafe Slavia sind nette Möglichkeiten zum Frühstücken. Wir kommen wieder! :-)

Ein wunderbares ruhiges Hotel mit excellentem Ambiente für ein stressfreies Erkunden von Prag. Wir haben es rundum genossen! Ideale Lage, um alle Sehenswürdigkeiten bequem per Fuß zu erreichen. Höchst empfehlenswert.

We just returned from a trip to Prague and stayed at MaMaison Riverside. Hotel was absolutely beautiful, really reasonable for a Europeon hotel and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Each suggestion they gave was worthwhile. Prague is the most beautiful city we've been to and the hotel made it all the better.

Charming hotel on the river w/ very friendly, helpful staff. Delightful rooms w/ great river views and modern, large bathrooms. Very competitive rates. It's a 20 min walk to the VERY touristy Charles Bridge area, which we found a positive. 5 min walk to two (user-friendly) tram options. Would stay here again!

View of the river from our room. Great design in hotel. Room very plush. A little far from Castle & Charles Bridge. Next visit may stay closer to Old Town, Prague. But this was nice as we like to walk. Tram is also nearby.

The staff were immensely friendly and helpful, the room was spotless and had a wonderful view, excellent decor and very confortable bed. We ordered room service, and it was absolutely excellent, very generous portions, and delicious. I can't think of a single negative point about this hotel- stay there! If you like your viiews, its worth the extra $15 or so to get a riverside view- we could see the dancing house from our window!

We stayed in the Riverside Hotel for 3 nights whilst on a short break in Prague. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was very spacious and comfortable. My only two (very minor) gripes were that we were in a room with an adjoining room, connected by a locked door, which were not well soundproofed - there were some very loud guests in the room next door for one night of our stay! The other is the lack of coffee/tea making facilities in the room - just anohter was to make money from room service!

The finest hotel room I have stayed in. Beautiful decor tastefully done top class facilities. Stunning views of river and city. A memorable sojourn. We'll be back.

My girlfriend and I stayed in this hotel in early may. I only have one complaint. I drove from Germany knowing that parking in Prague is terrible (hard to find parking and high rate of break-ins and stolen cars). The hotel said it offered parking which it does and even has surveillance. However, the parking is VERY limited (maybe 6 cars at best). This was not a problem for me since there where few cars parked at the hotel, but during a more busy time I can imagine that the parking could become an issue. Also this parking is not free (cost = 350 CZK a day). The front desk mentioned they could also recommend a parking garage, but it would cost even more. If you don't like either of those options you can try to find your own parking spot. Though there is much parking around the hotel, few spots are ever open and no one will be watching your car. Otherwise, the hotel room was amazing. Plasma TV, free internet, nice bed, very clean. No iron, but they have expensive ironing services. Hotel has a good location. 25 minute, scenic walk to the Charles bridge. Safe area (we walked around late at night). Overall this is a great hotel if you dont want to spend too much but still want something nice.

The hotel is a little bit away from the city center but closer to where locals hangout. It's a nice clean hotel though the room was on a smaller scale. The hotel is listed as a "Small Luxury Hotel" but in my opinion it's not. If I were to be back in Prague I'll stay at a hotel in the city center. The hotel staff was very friendly and spoke good English. Beware of the local taxi service, they will take you a full circle before taking you to the destination.

EXcellent staff, good location on the river,easy and cheap public transport system to get around. Some reviews mention a free minibar - this was not the case for us. Tea & coffee making facilities would have been good. Also we would have liked bath robes. The lighting in our room was very poor. Otherwise it was good value and we would definitely return.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Riverside. Room was spacious and despite being on the riverside very quiet. Would heartily recommmend this hotel.

This hotel is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. It is like a throw back from another time! The staff was wonderful and you can not beat the location! Highly recommended!!!!!!!!!!

Possibly one of the best small hotels I've had the pleasure of staying at. We received a 40% discount on our 4 night stay (end of Jan) and it was a bargain.All areas of the hotel were immaculate, very attentive staff, with top quality furnishings used all round after its refit /renovation. Our room (403-Superior Room with River View) was fantastic, good size with a king size bed, bay window with good views over the river Vltava, 2 leather tub chairs and a small table in the bay, flatscreen TV, minibar and free use of the digital safe. The bathroom was excellent, with mosaic tiles and mirrors to all walls, the over bath shower was powerful and always had plenty of hot water. Our only very minor complaints would be the wardrobe is a little on the small side if you were staying for a week, the drinks and food were expensive compared to prague in general (but you are not forced to have to have them) and the light in the bedroom was poor for make up purposes (so my said). The hotel is situated by the Jirasek bridge and is about a 30 min stroll to the old town sq and 20 mins to Charles bridge and a further 10 to Malastranska. We used the Metro most days on our stay walking to Andel area station (area looks a little rundown but is fine at all hours), took about 5 to 10 mins from the hotel. All in all a fantastic stay in Prague yet again but this time made that little bit special by staying here. Na Zdraví Riverside

most of the sites are a "full walking experience" or you would require a taxi if you are not a strong walker....the proximity to the tourist attractions is more "as the crow flies"...not by walking distance.

The hotel is not far from the city as Prague itself is very much a city that you can walk everywhere. The hotel and staff was amazing!

Nice rooms with comfortable bed and nice shower and bath. Great view from rooms along river. Tesco and tram stops about 10-15 min around the corner. Friendly and helpful staff. A great place to stay for a short stay as it's nice to come back to such a nice room after a long day out!

Lots of service and splendor at a affordable rate. I was most impressed. If you stay in winter, taxis or public transit will most likely be necessary for getting around and visiting the Prague sites, otherwise make sure you are a hearty walker and where your walking shoes. It would be no problem in summer. The bed was how I imagine sleeping on a cloud would be!

This hotel is a little gem! We stayed three nights in December 08 and we had the best time ever. OK so its a little bit of a walk into town (15-20 mins walk or a half hour stroll) but its such a gorgeous walk along the river - who cares! The hotel has been refurbished to a beautiful standard - so elegant - and the beds are simply the most comfortable that I have ever slept in. I enjoyed the fact that there was no breakfast included in the price as there was no pressure to rush for it. Much preferred the free minibar instead! The bathrooms are simply beautiful too. If you can go to Prague at any time of the year I would recommend Christmas time. I have never in my life been anywhere so Christmassy - on every street you could smell the mulled wine and cinnamon from various street vendors. Cannot recommend this hotel enough!

Great small hotel in historic building. As requested, room was quiet, non-smoking and hypo allergenic, also spacious with great bath. Front desk was very helpful with questions, etc. The location along the river allowed walking everywhere.; trams convenient too. Only cautionary note is beware of using the hotel room phone for local calls due to exorbitant rates.

The MaMaison Riverside was in a perfect spot, away from all the crowded, overpriced tourist areas but with easy access to both tram and metro routes direct to the heart of the city. It provided a sanctuary after a busy day pounding the streets! The neighborhood surrounding the hotel seemed to be an up-and-coming area with lots of modern & traditional (and very cheap!) bars and restaurants within 5 minutes walk, as well as a new shopping centre (quite pricey here though) i can't speak highly enough about the quality of the hotel itself, my fiance and i found it perfect in every way. Another reviewer mentioned giving the hotel breakfast a miss and heading to the nearby Cafe Savoy instead. This was a great tip as for around £6 each we had a fantastic breakfast here, and the Savoy chocolate was an absolute joy!!

This hotel was wonderful in almost every way. It is located within easy walking distance of all the main sights in Prague. The building is beautiful and the decor is sumptuous but not over-the-top. The heating and air conditioning in the rooms is really modern and works brilliantly, we even had underfloor heating in the bathroom!! We stayed in a superior room and it's hard to see what upgrading to a suite could have offered. The bed was always beautifully made with very high quality bed linen. The minibar was free but with not much stock which seemed perfectly reasonable. Great to have access to fruit juice and coke etc, you also get wine and beer should you want it! The staff were extremely helpful but very genuine and not at all snooty. They gave a recommendation for the best breakfast experience ever (Cafe Savoy, please check it out!!). In the interests of providing a balanced view for potential visitors, here are the down sides!! - bar was similarly very expensive - no iron in room (although available free from reception) That's it!! Really can't think of anything else. The hotel provided loads of services that we didn't use such as the limo service to the airport, shoe cleaning, babysitting services etc. In summary, this is a lovely, small, understated, classy, friendly hotel. All the sights are within easy walking distance and the walk along the river to the old town is a perfect way to start the day.

Our room was in a new part of the hotel - a suite with a great view of Prague. The room was very spacious, nicely decorated, clean and the bathroom was sizeable as well. We also ordered room service and the food was very good. The hotel is a little far from the tourist sights but they are easy to get to by tram.

We were over the moon with the standard of comfort and luxury that this hotel offered. We were treated like VIP's from the moment we stepped through the door and nothing was too much trouble. Furnishings and facilities were top class and we would definitely recommend.

We stayed at the Riverside Hotel for a week and everything was awesome. Great room, great service, great location, great view of the river and city, great people, free minibar!!! And all at a seriously reasonable price. The only complaint we had was a problem with a showerhead swivel. But given that we never reported it to the hotel, we can't complain that it didn't get fixed. If you're going to Prague, the Riverside is THE 5 star to stay at.

A fantastic hotel in a great location. Close enough to walk to all of the sights in 15-20 minutes but far enough away to avoid the crowds and noise. Clean, well kept rooms and friendly, helpful staff made for a terrific stay.

This hotel was beautifully decorated and spotless. It was only a 15minute stroll by the river to the main heart of the city. I stayed in a Junior Suite and it was smaller than i expected but it was a large enough room.

Pretty hotel but superior room was not very spacious, next to lift shaft and cleaning cupboard. Also we requested a double bed but got 2 twins that were pushed together with 2 seperate quilts (not quite the romance we anticipated) Breakfast was very expensive and pretty average would suggest the Hotel Savoy. The bathrooms were lovely and the shower was great, great location.

The Riverside Hotel is in a quieter area of Prague which suited us fine. It is around a 20 minute walk to Charles Bridge etc. The hotel is decorated and furnished to a very high standard and all in all we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay with no complaints whatsoever.

Very well located, close to the Old Town Square but far from crowds and noise. Great service. I definitely recommend this hotel!!!

Flott hotell med veldig god service

Dette var et særdeles flott hotell. vi har reist mye rundt i europa og det er ikke ofte du finner et slikt hotell med den beligenheten, store og meget lekre rom og for ikke å glemme prisen:-)) BILLIG. Det tar ca 10-15 min å gå inn til gamlebyen, men det er en fin tur langs kanalen, blir turen for lang er det bare å sette seg ned på et av utestedene og nyte en 1/2 pils til 13,-......

Dette er tredje gang for oss i Praha, og endelig kunne vi sove godt i utrolig deilige senger. Tidligere har vi nytt "komforten" på strykebrett myke senger. Litt vel dyrt i restauranten, men Praha har jo utrolig mange rimelige spisesteder å by på. Dette hotellet ligger sentralt, og det er stille og rolig om natten. Betjeningen var også veldig behjelpelig med å finne både spa og restauranter. Absolutt å anbefale.

Ingenting å klage på ved dette hotellet, selv med høye forventninger på alle plan. Meget hyggelig personale, som var behjelpelig med absolutt alt. Rommene så fantastiske ut på alle måter. Flott beliggenhet med nærhet til shopping og restauranter, samt metro og trikk om man vil reise rundt i byen med disse.

Hotellet ligger sentralt ved elva i gåavstand til alle spennende spennende deler av byen. Vi var heldige og fikk parkere like utenfor hotellet og følte at bilen stod trygt der. Rommet hadde wow faktoren, stilig og anderledes innredning, -og badet, wow, wow! To vasker, toalett og dusj samt et badekar med plass for to! God plass både på rom og bad, vi hadde ekstraseng, og det var fortsatt god plass. Tror nok at jeg kommer til å velge dette hotellet også neste gang jeg reiser til Praha!

Godt hotel, centralt placeret med udsigt over Moldau og "Det dansende hus". Eneste mangel er parkerimgspladser.

Meget fint hotell til en rimelig penge. Hjelpsom betjening som snakker bra engelsk. Gratis trådløst nett på rommet

Tres bon hotel.. Pas grand chose de negatif a dire etant donne que tout etait OK... Les 2 seuls points negatis sont: Plus d oeuf au petits dej car nous sommes arrive a 10h30 et le sol de la chambre etait propre sans etre parfait.

hotellet tog rigtig godt i mod os... man følte sig som konger og baroner... en dejlig måde og få informationer på.. man fik fra start et indtryk af at dette hotel var drevet proffesionelt... manglede ikke noget...

The hotel is situatet at the riverside, hence the name. My standardroom was clean and 22 sq metres, had a nice bathroom with a tub.

Très bon acceuil, conciergerie efficace, chambre de très bon confort, bons produits d'accueil, proche du centre ville, service du petit déjeuner débordé et relativement peu efficace et barman peu aimable surtout à la fermeture de son bar.

Hotel bien situé, quelques soucis d'organisation au petit déjeuner.
