Best Western Cresta Court Hotel - Altrincham

Very good value for money. I was surprised to secure such a reasonable deal for a 3-night stay in a double room on a single occupancy basis over the August bank holiday weekend! Room a little cramped but otherwise perfectly adequate, complete with flat screen, digital TV, iron and ironing board, tea making facilities and ensuite bathroom with both bath and shower. Very clean, comfy and airy. Very little noise disturbance from the main road outside (thanks to the double glazing), but interior walls a little thin. Comfortable bar and reasonable restaurant food including satisfactory breakfast buffet. The only frustration was the fact that there were wedding parties in everyday, from when I arrived on Friday through to Sunday evening, which meant that it was very noisy downstairs and the bar was crowded, resulting in a lengthy wait to get a drink and also making it a bit of an isolated and uncomfortable experience for a single traveller (two of my party were in a nearby B&B, the rest were staying in Hale!).

Room was on first floor and was away too warm even with the radiator turned off and the window open. It is a good hotel and very cheap to stay in.

We stay at this hotel every 7 - 8 weeks or so, and previously, the rooms we have been allocated have been excellent. Unfortunately, this room on the 3rd floor was no bigger than a box room, with only just enough room to walk round the bed, with a single chair being placed on front legs, half way up the connecting door, so we could get past. VERY poor room, for such a good hotel.

This is our fifth visit to this hotel.Basically we use the Hotel for sleeping and eating breakfast.The Staff are friendly,the rooms are basic but clean, the beds are comfortable.Would I choose if for a romantic weekend, not really but if you need a clean, warm bed for the night,at a reasonable price, a bit of breakfast in the morning and the colour of the walls doesn't matter too much to you then this Hotel ticks the boxes.

Theme night cancelled even though we had travelled from London to stay here because of the themed nights, which we like at this hotel. No warning given until the morning of the day of the event....very poor... room 348 has a VERY smaqll shower cubicle with a very cramped shower area, shower head is in your face during use....not very comfortable to use....

Car parking a joke on first night we had to park in nearby offices rising early to move car to avoid clamping. For a double room we were given one plastic tumbler in the bathroom and the smallest tube of shampoo/body wash for the whole 3 night booking. Fire alarm at 1am with no apology at all for inconvenience/upset. 9 am morning of departure disturbed by staff checking room availability, ten minues later man wanting to check fire alarm this being 30 hours after fire alarm disruption.

This was fourth time we stayed at the Best Western - Cresta Court Hotel, & it won't be the last. Previously, we had problems at reception, but this time, what a difference - no problems, warm welcome, politeness & genuine attitiude. We were allocated our room quickly & efficiently by duty staff, we took the lift up to our room & we took our bags inside. The room was (as expected) clean, well made-up & welcoming. We left our bags in the room & went out to Trafford Centre, which is the usual destination for my partner, as she seems to have that dreaded women's illness- credit card disfunction (only joking angel)... We returned to the room after eating out, had a couple of late drinks at the bar & went to sleep. Much the same on Friday, as we come up to Altrincham for my partner to spend some money for putting up with me, & we do this every six weeks or so... Friday night was theme night & we had a wonderful time. There was a quiz...a prize for the best dressage...a very acceptable meal, excellent people around us (hen night from local hospital), & a great disco which lasted until midnight ish....a couple of drinks at the bar, then into bed again before we woke the following morning to do final shop...then off to Manchester Airport for the homeward trip to London.... Breakfast each morning was as usual, very pleasant in a relaxed & friendly atmosphere, where the food was as good as always....will we return to this hotel...OF COURSE WE WILL...IT'S THE BEST IN THE AREA...!!!

Staff were friendly, rooms were clean, quiet, modern and comfortable. Excellent value.

I think it was a good hotel all in all the staff was friendly. Somehow cigerette smoked leaked into our room at night and made our whole room smell like smoke. It seemed like it was coming from the bathroom or the hallway. We were also under the impression it was a convient stay for Old Trafford and Manchester. It was an ok distance for Old Trafford but not for Manchester.

Small room...but perfectly comfortable.Room service was quick and food rather nice.

If you need a stop over for the airport then this would do - at a push. If you are expecting somewhere with atmosphere or comfort this is not the place for you

I couldnt sleep because a club was playing music till 2 am and the crowd were in the parking lot making noise till almost 3:30 am. At least they could have been courteous to ask if my room could be on another side of the hotel if I am a light sleeper. No instruction on telephone to call front desk. You have to pay for the wireless internet. Just not what you expect.
