Generator Hostel Berlin - Berlin

The generator is situated in the the former DDR. It is an interesting experience to see the lifestyle there even at the very early hours of the morning. The enviroment of the Hostel is catered for the youths but folks over the hills are also made to feel welcome. The rooms are clean. I would consider to go back there another time.

Super sauber Massenabfertigung, für den Preis aber absolut ok. Frühstück ist besser als angeben

empfehlenswert, bis auf dass man Zimmernachbarn gut hört.

Generator ist ein unkomplitziertes und günstiges hotel.super ist der 24 h dienst, man kann jederzeit ein und aus.die zimmer haben alles was man braucht .es ist sauber und das personal ist freundlich. wer keinen unnötigen luxus braucht ist hier gut aufgehoben!

Das Ziomemr war sehr klein und nicht wirklich sauber, wir hatten Haare auf der Betwäsche...im großen und ganzen war es jedoch ok, bei dem preis sollte man auch nciht zu viel erwarten! Um nur die Nacht im Zimemr zu verbringen vollkommen ausreichend. Frühstück bekommt man von 7°°-11°° war für uns optimal

Sauberes, symphatisches Haus mit etwas eigenwilligem Ambiente. Ein Wermuthstropfen für Ruhebedürftige: Wer in der Nähe der Bar schläft, muss mit einer entsprechenden Geräuschkulisse bis tief in die Nacht hinein leben.

Der Hotel-Service wäre super, wenn die Gäste sich an die Hausordnung halten würden, nach 21 Uhr Ruhe zu geben.

Das Hotel liegt im östliche Teil der Stadt. Nur wenige Schritte bis zur SBahn Station. Von dort aus kann man alle Stadtteile Berlins problemlos erreichen. Ich kann das Hotel empfehle, wenn man sich nur zum schlafen im Hotel aufhalten will. Die Zimmer sind klein, aber absolut zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Das Preis-/ Leistungsverhältnis ist wirklich super.

Super Ausganspunkt um ein paar Tage Berlin zu erleben, viele nette Menschen und Angestellte, gutes Frühstück. Mit sicherheit kommen wir wieder hier her für 3 oder 4 Tage Berlin!

Hat etwas von einer Jugendherberge. Ist aber sehr sauber. Die Zimmer sind sehr klein, aber für den Preis kann man auch nicht mehr erwarten. Frühstück ist ausreichend.

Mein Freund und ich haben zwei Nächte im Generator Berlin verbracht. Für diesen Preis kann man zwar kein super-duper-Luxus-Hotel erwarten kann, doch wenn man eh nur zum Schlafen dort ist, würden wir jederzeit wieder in dieses Hotel! Das Zimmer selbst ist ziemlich einfach gehalten, wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer mit Stockbett, einem kleinen Waschbecken und einem Spind. Die Bettwäsche war sauber, ebenso das ganze Zimmer. Die Etagenduschen und -wc´s wurden jeden Tag gereinigt, also war es auch dort sauber! Den Abend kann man in der Generator Bar ausklingen lassen, die Preise dort sind nicht überhöht, also ziemlich normal! Alles in allem waren wir recht zufrieden mit unserem Hotel!

Zustand der Zimmer war OK! Frühstückbuffet reichhaltig. S-Bahn-Linie direkt vorm Haus. Die Bar im Erdgeschoss ist genialer Treffpunkt und man ist in bester ungezwungener Gesellschaft.

overall good experience. the main floor is very loud with all the people. but the customer service is second to none and the hostel was very clean for it's size and amount of guests

Good value for little money. A private room with a toilet and bathroom for the price of a meal. But... expect to meet hundreds of American and European teenagers literally kicking the walls and shouting away their youth or while you're trying to sleep or trying to buy dope from you while you're having your late night e-mail session in the lounge. Additionally, the wlan offered for a relatively high prise hardly ever worked properly. Cannot be recommended for people over 25 or families, but budget travellers may still consider this option and find it rewarding. The S-Bahn connections are great and several tram lines also take you there.

A good barain hostel in Berlin. Location not near city centre, and needs to take S-Bahn (interchanges)if you are from the main train station. Staff really friendly and helpful. There are shops/supermarkets and eateries near the hotel. Free breakfast was Ok considering the budget.

Great location, very close to one of the main train stations, Ostbahnhof, and only 35 mins to Schonefeld. It is just in front of one of the S-Bahn stops and you can also take 3trams and be in the heart of Berlin in 15mins. The room was clean and we had a private bathroom enough for what we needed. The beds were comfortable and you get clean towels/sheets as well. There is no wardrobe though. You can pay 10 more euros to checkout at 14.00 which I think is great, because we left on Sunday and obviously we wanted to go out on Saturday night.

Very pleasant, clean and I will recommend it. Only 4s because everything can be improved. Don't relaxed.

The staff were fantastic ! everything else was as required.

This was the loudest hostel I have ever stayed in. All night long teenagers were running around the halls screaming, yelling and even knocking on our door. We had the hotel change our room to what they said was a quiter floor and it was still loud. You could hear every noise in the hall. The rooms were on the small side and about as clean as any other hostel. The hostel is located in a run down neighborhood in the old east, but was very close to the s-bahn. Not worth the money you save. Ruined our trip to Berlin, spent too much time during the day trying to catch up on sleep.

Generator is a decent hotel worth the money. It's location is good with a very good Bahn network of transportation. Though its more suitable for bachelors, we 3 family (with 3 babies) stayed there for 2 nights with quite comfort. Though the cleanliness is not the best of its kind, you dont have much to complaint. Overall its good for stay.

This hostel was cheap and cheerful would definetly recommend it for other travellers. The staff were very informative and friendly.

Less than 2 minutes walk from Landsbergerstraße S-Bahn station, the ultra-modern, ultra-functional Hotel Generator provides comfortable, clean and functional two single bed plus shower-room accommodation in a convenient location next to the S-Bahn ring line. Breakfast, included in the room price, is basic but also adequate. The clientele is mainly younger but there were plenty of older guests too. There is internet and internet connection. I'd definitely go again and recommend.

Great, only thing was Olympic swimmers booked into the hostel who made the nightporters turn themselves into a bit of a nuisance.

As long as you understand this is a hostel and not a hotel, it is a wonderful place. Their is a tram 50 meters away and the staff is very helpful. We stayed there 5 nights and my wife and I loved the place. The only problem we had is that one night it got very loud, extremely loud. The staff was helpful, but because it is a hostel you do run the possibility of having loud and or drunk teenagers. At 2AM the place was a mess, the other 4 nights it was quiter than a church. I do recommend it, even considering my one sidenote. Well worth the money when in Berlin.

Very good privates rooms... great breakfast and dinner. The only bad thing is a little bit far from the city center but nothing that an S Bahn can't solve this problem

Was a good nights sleep although it could be a bit noisy at times. Had our own sink in the room which was handy and the whole place is right next to the s-bahn! its only 1 change from schonefeld. Cheap drinks also from the bar!

Good value for money, good local transport links, but a bit noisy.

Nice and clean, very lively! Excellent place to stay for young people. Good bar, the pub crawl also leaves from reception every night!! Cheap food and lots of facilities. Only about 2 miles out from the TV tower but located right next to both an Underground station and a tram station...and a burger king!! Highly recommended!!

If you need a place to sleep and do not desire an exclusive breakfast, then this is the perfect place to stay. The bar allows you to unwind in the evening, but be prepared that the place will be busy, loud and you are in the company of typical european teenagers, since this hotel is a "hostel" and as such by definition designed to serve the travelling youth in europe.

The price we got was extremely cheap but at the same time the services provided were beyond excellent! The staff was always helpful and very polite, breakfast was good, no noise in the halls and they even rented bicycles which made going to and from the center a pure joy. But if you can't be bothered with riding a bike it's no big deal - the hostel is right next to a train and bus station and Berlin's public transportation system is impeccable. If you have any queries about directions and how to get where you want just ask the people at the reception. They'll provide you with all necessary information - and even jot it down on the free maps of Berlin that the hostel provides to all guests!

This is a hostel for party people! There were only young people there, having a blast. Even though the rooms were like sauna, and we had to share bathroom/toilets, we loved the hotel. It has a atm,laudry service,bar,internett and is filled woth young peope from everywhere. There is some noise, so I would not recomend the hostel for families with small children,

They could only find one reservation, and had only one room, not 2 as we had ordered (and paid for). Was degraded to shared room and had to change room during our stay, which was only for a weekend. Besides that it was great. Small rooms, but nice and clean. The staff was politie, the breakfast was decent and the location is very central in berlin. Close to public transportation and there is alot of young people staying there. Easy to get to know others.

Hôtel confortable qui offre beaucoup de services pratiques ( machine à laver, internet, vidéo...). Etant principalement destiné aux jeunes, si vous l'êtes moins et que vous souhaitez dormir avant 2h du matin demandez à avoir une chambre à l'opposé du générator Bar !

Voor de portemonnee is Generator een prima keuze. Met zo'n 850 slaapplaatsen is het een ideaal hostel voor groepen. Dus reken er op dat je tussen allerlei schoolklassen zit te ontbijten. Wel is het hostel erg schoon en netjes.

Als je er alleen wilt slapen is het prima. Het is goedkoop en netjes. Lekker dichtbij het station. Het ontbijt is voldoende. Als je het leuk vindt om jonge mensen om je heen hebben is het heel gezellig.

Confort très correct pour le prix,top pour les petits budgets et bien entouré(metro,commerces..).

A 2 pas du métr et du tramway, bon marché, prpores, mais les jeunes allemands qui font la fête toute la nuit dans les couloirs, dur-dur !!

Meget stort hostel med udemærkede faciliteter. Det er dog ret ærgeligt, der ikke er køkken til selv at lave mad. Man skal også være opmærksom på at det primært er unge, der bor der. Fin service, lidt langt fra centrum, men heldigvis er der gode togforbindelser lige ved siden af Hostlet.

endast för unga människor, det fanns inga sänglampor på rummet vilket man saknar som vuxen, mycket liv utanför, dålig service av personal(vissa kunne ej engelska), saknade ett ombonat frukostställe, men frukosten var helt ok. En natt var ok man absolut ej längre. Men man får vad man betalar för stämmer verkligen här.

l'hotel est super le seul problème vient des personnes qui ne respectent pas le sommeil de leurs voisins et ne se donnent pas le mal de chuchoter... poutant je me couchais vers les2h du mat

Lasciano un pò a desiderare le camere e la loro pulizia. La struttura è valida, la posizione ottima, la colazione perfetta, i ragazzi della reception sono carini e disponibili.

A 200m dalla metropolitana ,economico,pulito,pieno di ragazzi,colazione compresa nel prezzo,cosa chiedere di più?solo apparantemente lontano dal centro in 10' si arriva ad Alexanderplatz..con un minimo di capacità di adattamento è il posto ideale x voi..
