Beaver Run Resort & Conference Center - Breckenridge

I was very disappointed, as we had to stay in a dirty room! There was hair in the tub, just outside the tub, and there was even a pair of socks laying in the closet! Additionally, we couldn't seem to adjust the temperature, so the room was quite warm most of the night. The overall experience just didn't seem "resort" quality. Perhaps the most galling of all was the front desk staff, when notified of our bad experience, said "I'll let the manager know." No apology, no offer to reduce price/offer other incentive. Very frustrating. Needless to say, we will not be staying there again!

Outstanding Hotel. Great Location. Friendly staff. Clean Rooms. Minimal noise. Underground Parking.

We went during the off season and the hotel was still very responsive to our needs and very helpful. This is one of the most well kept and nicest hotels I have stayed in over the course of years. The staff was very friendly and very professional.

The hotel is somewhat dated, but has good amenities for kids, and a great location for skiing. The front desk service was poor, not even a 'thank you', and the front desk button on my room phone did not even work. The worst offense is that there was mold in the acoustic roof tiles in the bathroom(why would they put acoustic tiles for a ceiling in a hotel?), to which I am extremely allergic. I was sick for most of my stay. There are many options nearby, I'd recommend checking them out before booking at this hotel.

Situated directly at the base of peak 9. Our room was ski in ski out with ski lockers available. The room was very nice with a great view.

This hotel was at a great location. It is a ski in and ski out resort. Ski school for the kids is also there. The restraunts were very good and reasonably priced. My only complaints were that the suite was much smaller than it appeared in the photos...a very tight squeeze for 2 adults and 2 kids. And also that we requested a non-smoking room and we were given a smoking room. My son immediately opened the balcony door to see the view, so I didn't notice how bad it was until after we were unpacked. The hotel also had a great, free shuttle service. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay again.

Pretty basic hotel. 2 queen beds. No micro or fridge. 19" TV. Do they even make those anymore? Best thing about it was the convenience to the slopes as the Beaver run chair is right across the street and the hotel offers free lockers at the base of Beaver run superchair. Parking is $10 a day (not free as anticipated you would get for other hotel/condos in the Breck area) but still cheaper than parking in the pay lots.

The rooms were okay but our closet had a moldy smell and the hallways were very dark, outdated and the carpet was was not in good shape. The hotel's other public areas (pool, etc.) were all very nice and in good working order.

Kids enjoyed it ... well kept hotel with comfortable common areas, nice warm swimming pools and hot tubs in great condition with towels close by, helpful staff, convenient food with a mini store above lobby for snacks and ski lifts right outside the hotel. The parking is convenient but there was a nightly charge. The mini golf is nothing fancy, but gave the kids something to do ... note that you have to purchase souvenir balls if you don't bring your own. The rooms aren't fancy, but clean with huge jetted tub and mini kitchenette. TV was too small, but overall a good experience ... we'd definitely stay there again.

My wife and I wanted to get away for a weekend, and this place fit the bill. The restaurant on site is great - wonderful steak. The rooms show their age, but they are very clean and you cannot beat the location and all the extra's with the resort.

This hotel's location is AWESOME! You are within walking distance to the downtown shops and if you would prefer to ride a shuttle the hotel provides. In addition there is public transportation that picks you right up at the hotel every 30 minutes. There is a lift right on the property- so what more could you ask for? You can also park in the hotel's garage for $10 a day.

The ski in ski out location was wonderful and ski and board rentals plus lift ticket sales were adjacent to the hotel. In building 4 units you get a ski locker on the ground floor and walk right out the door to the slopes. So it's very convenient for skiing. The mountains are very beautiful and Peak 9 (accessed directly from Beaver Run) had lots of nice wide blue runs. The hotel itself is a bit dated, with a sprawling, confusing layout of five buildings connected with skybridges at different levels. There was insufficient parking by the building and the parking garage was inconvenient and poorly signed (exit did not have a sign!) Don't expect any help with baggage -- not even a baggage cart was available. Our studio unit had a very 70's vintage "spa room" with a whirlpool tub, shower head over the tub, windows with etched artwork and shiny metalic blinds, and a large fake potted plant in the corner. What a hoot. The heat controls didn't seem to work at all. We ended up opening the window to get some ventilation as it was stifling. No ice in the little mini-fridge and it took some hunting to find an ice bucket stashed in an upper cabinet and then locate an ice machine (only on certain floors). We were there spring break week and the price was high, although all ski resorts were high that week. The Copper Top restaurant/bar serves up mediocre and very overpriced skier fare. However, we liked the fancier restaurant, Spencers, and had a couple of fairly good and reasonably priced meals there. It's basically a steak place with a salad bar (again 70's vintage but salad bars were one of the good things about the 70's). A word of warning about Breckenridge -- the base elevation is 9600 and there is a very substantial risk of altitude sickness. Everyone in our group has done lots of skiing and high altitude hiking, but sleeping at that altitude without gradual acclimation is difficult. It was a ski resort, but they had a free shuttle so you could escape! Overall good for the price, close to slopes, very friendly front desk. I would stay again.

We found this hotel to have comfortable beds, be in reasonably good condition, and have pretty helpful staff. Staying here as a homebase for access to skiing at Breck, Vail, Keystone, etc. worked well. We walked 2 min. to the hill at Breck, and were within a half hour of other local ski areas. And this hotel is only about a 15min walk to downtown Breck too. Gotta expect a resort hotel to be costly, but this one was reasonable given all the upside.

This is a great location, ski-in/ski-out from Peak 9. With it's walking distance proximity to the town, and the nice large hot tubs, I would suspect this is one of the best bargain hotels in all of Breckenridge. 3 of us stayed in the Deluxe studio and were pleased with the comfort and cleanliness.

we had a great experience in our recent stay at this resort/hotel. the rooms were clean and the hotel staff wonderful! they responded quickly and with efficiently each time. there was plenty to do with kids inside which made it even better-not everyone wants to be outside in the cold snow.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable. They were a little run down. My room had a radiator with the front off and the bathroom light took several minutes to come on. Other than that it was a very nice place to rest after a long day of skiing.

I read that it was a little outdated so I expected it to be much worse than it was. We were pleasntly suprised by how nice our room was. Hotel was in a PERFECT location.

The customer service was terrific.

old and run down, our ceiling leaked because the kitchen sink in room of floor above us was leaking, too much money for old, run down, out dated place

Our stay was right before the season opened to full capacity. The room was cleaned than most hotels. It was so convenient to have garage parking, shutttle bus access and a kitchen. Although the walls are not very sound proof, it was a very comfortable suite.

Overall experience was great. Spa is also fantastic! Only complaint is the set-up/flow of the hotel. You can not get from one side to the other without having to take stairs/elevators, twice! For those of you who have been on a cruise, you understand the maneuvering it takes to get from point A to point B. After we checked in and were explained how to get to our room, the elevator we needed happened to have been out of service. We walked ALL OVER, up and down stairs/elevators, looking for our room. We got lost in the midst of all of this. Not one staff memeber was seen til after 45 minutes of walking around. A small language barrier made it difficult to get directions, but none the less we did eventually get to our room. The thing that was really upsetting about all of this was the gentleman who helped us KNEW the elevator we needed had been out of service for over hours!! Either no one had communicated this with the front desk, or the desk clerk forgot to give us another route. I had just not expected such and inconvience/lack of communication with a high end hotel. Would have been nice if throughout the hotel, there was maybe some sort of map/layout of the hotel. Or if you received this when you checked in. Everything else was great and we really enjoyed our stay. Will be back again next year!

This resort is the perfect weekend getaway. Most rooms have beautiful views. The room decor and furniture is a bit dated, and if that does not concern you, this is a great place to stay. There is plenty of on site amenities, or if they do not suit your needs, it's only a short walk to downtown.

My husband and I wanted anice relaxing weekend away and this hotel was perfect. Our suite had everything we needed nad the decor was rustic and comforting. EVen the resteraunt in the hotel was fabulous. we can't wait to get to go back.

I will start with my two criticisms: I was in the Colorado Suite - where the shower being in the whirlpool tub is a little akward; also, the in-room coffee pot was broken (but quickly replaced). Now, the good parts: the rooms are immaculate and comfortable; the views are outstanding; the front-desk service is friendly, fast and informative; the location is walking-distance to shops and dining as well as to hiking and skiing. The pools and hottubs are clean, large, and well-maintained. I would highly recommend Beaver Run and will no doubt be a guest there again.

The two elevators servicing our building (Building 2) were constantly broken/fixed/broken for the three days of our stay and the toilet in our room clogged up.

Garage is in dis-repair, poor signage getting around, had to go to a different stairwell for 1-2 then 2-3! Too many compact parking spaces. No elevator from garage to our floor. Good thing we could walk. Never got room service on Sat. even though we called.

great location...right on Peak #9 in Breckenridge and close to down town...nice during summer but would be amazing during ski season

Hotel was nice. Somewhat dated, but clean and had a great location. Visited in the off season for skiing, but would be great during peak times if you ski. Lift is right outside the main lobby.

No need for vehicle. Ski in, ski out and walk to dinner. Excellent for families with kids, plenty to do and ski.

We had a great time and the hotel is great!

The rooms are large and comfortable and there are plenty of amenities - I didn't realize before I traveled that there are lifts right downtown - if I had known I would have chosen a downtown hotel and been located closer to shops and dining.

Stayed in Building 4. Location was excellent. Room was very nice. Shuttle to town was very convenient. Very accomodating.

We've stayed at the Beaver Run Resort many times and have always enjoyed our stay, but my only complaint is that they REALLY need to update their rooms! The oversized jacuzzi tubs are completely worthless as showers (weird shower curtains and hard to figure out), and the walls of the "tub room" are completely glassed in so you have to pull the blinds for privacy. Great if you are a honeymooning couple --lousy if you are a family with kids! The outdoor hot tubs are also very 1970's and need updating. Rooms are pricey in the ski season, but for the money I would recommend this resort over others in the area.

No plasma tv's, dirty carpet, missing lamp shades, thin walls you prac. are sleeping in your neighbor's room, the shower curtain wouldn't stay up, horrible cust. service throughout hotel ( except at check in - she was very nice ) no emp. wanted to work only wanted to talk to co-workers. The hotel is nice but the rooms are horrible for the price you pay.
