Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Orlando Near Universal Studios - Orlando

We only stayed here one night as we were on a fly drive holiday and this was our first stop when we got off the plane. The hotel was very clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was ideal.

It was more seniors staying there. Overall the people was very nice and friendly.

Room use out dated but over all was a fantastic value for the $$. Free happy hour and free breakfast sure doesn't hurt either.

GREAT LOCATION I WAS WITHIN MINUTES OF UNIVERSAL, WETNWILD, SEAWORLD AND AQUATICA; PLACES I VISITED. THE HOTEL WAS GREAT. THE BREAKFAST ENDS AT 930AM, TOO EARLY. OTHER THAN THAT, THE ROOM WAS CLEAN AND AFFORDABLE. OVERALL, I RATE IT 3.5 OVER 5

Hotel staff were very accommodating. Booked a executive suite and found on arrival no fridge; they changed our room to a suite with a fridge. Main areas (lifts, hallway on 6th flr) could do with a makeover though; but still a very nice hotel. Great location for International Drive/shops/restaurants and buses to amusement locations.

its was very nice classy n very clean awsome welcome too. we are palnning a nother vacation soon adn will be going back.also right on international drive close to everything.

The hotel was overbooked so they upgraded us to king suite for same price. The decor outdated a bit, but comfotable. Have nice breakfast and complimentary happy hour every day for two hours for beer and wine, which was very nice. The location is hard to walk to International drive is about a 10-15 walk because you have to walk around buldings and cannot cut thru, so if the weather is bad - you have a face all the terrible traffice.

Excellent hotel. clean rooms.. spacious rooms.. happy hour and breakfast included in price. cant beat it...

Check in took too long, nobody wanted to help. The room was too small, and had a strange odor to it, but it was clean!. Might be able to do better with some extra effort as there are MANY hotels and motels to choose from in this area.

The food was okay, but not as good as some other places that have breakfast. The front desk people were curt with us when we checked in (3 adults and 1 older teen). I saw them being rude to teens with headphones on, acting like they were trouble, when I saw no one even acting rude toward the people at the desk. The bathroom in our room had some small things that needed repairs. When I todl them, they acted like it was trivial. Each was small, but 3 things wrong in one bathroom wasn't good.

A hotel is mostly a reflection of the people that work there. From the first moment we checked in we were greeted by one of the best front desk personS we've encounter in years... Ms. Frannie represents what "customer service" is all about: she gave us excellent instructions about all the amenities the hotel had in a very pleasant matter. Our room was excellent... clean, well furnished, comfortable, and in general more than what we expected. The free breakfast spread was plentiful and delicious... the dining area was very clean and the attendants were busy and very helpful. Our two-day stay was memorable and will definitely come back many more times thanks to the excellent people taking care of the hotel and the guests needs - THANKS!

The hotel and our room was clean. The breakfast was fresh and tasty. This was our second stay at this hotel.

We had a very good rate for a double queen room. When I checked in the manager gave me a free upgrade!!!Never got that before, was a very unexpected surprise.

The hotel was very clean. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed having a refrigerator to keep our water and soft drinks cold. The breafast in the morning was good and changed each morning.

I chose this hotel because of a review I read and I am glad I did. The hotel is older but kept very well. It was extremly clean and the staff was very friendly. The free breakfast was nice, it could have been better if there was more fresh fruit but otherwise there was a good selection. The location was fantastic. There was a lot to do and many restruants just a few blocks away. If you are looking for a great value this is it. The price was reasonable and we got more room for our money than we could have somewhere else.

The hotel was nice, older but nice. The guest, children, pretty much had a free for all in the hotel. The pool was unsupervised and kids were throwing food and spilling drinks in the pool. Someone pulled the fire alarm at 1am and there was no staff around to assure the guests it was someone fooling around. They did not know how to get on the internet. It was a nice room for the price but next time we will pay more to get away from type of people who stayed at this hotel.

Overall the hotel is okay for the price. The main problem is the customer service at the hotel. Myself and two other guests waited for 10 minutes to have someone show up at the front desk for us to check in. The girls were polite, but the guy who service guests at night during my stay was very rude!

The bed is terrible. I complained the bed has no spring in the morning, and they said if I would leave there was nothing they can do. Even they didn't say sorry for it.

At first, the room I thought I had requested was not the right one, but it clarified and corrected. The hotel is was great for the money. Just be careful in booking your suite.

Nice place to stay and close to all Disney/Universal parks. Good breakfast every morning. Only problem it has a small pool for the amount guest who stay there. Over all, a good place to stay.

My family and I stayed over the weekend and I can say that it is well worth it. A main pipe burst which caused the water to be shut down and the staff there was more than exceptional in accomodating its guest. We ended up staying at the Hawthorne (lake Buena Vista) Both hotels I would recommend to anyone. Again I cant do anything but praise how exceptional the staff was. It was nice and cozy and was well suited for the three of us. Both locations were accessible to everything. Hawthorne (Universal) needs a little upgrading but perfect for a place to sleep and eat. has a 2 eye stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker and full refrigerator. We ate out only once the 4 days we stayed.

The hotel was nice we stayed in a suite and man it ws comfortable my girl was amazed. The only thing is the stove was small but we dealt with it other than that they get an A+++ in our book.

The family loved it. It was a home away from home.

The 1 good thing about the hotel was they were gracious enough to let me check in a few hours before my scheduled time.

The elevator in the hotel smell like mold. Inside my non smoking room, the bathroom reeked of smoke. The rest of the room was fine. The breakfast didn't have much to choose from. I would not recommend to a friend.

Great room, clean, great staff (except the one on the first day at the reception), convinient location to the I-Ride. In the end- great value for the money we paid for the room.

This hotel was an amazing value and far exceeded our expectations. The room was bright. the bed was firm and comfortable. The welcome reception is a nice touch and the breakfast was beyond "Continental". I rarely get excited about a hotel stay, but this one was so much better than "normal" (and the rate was comparable to what we usually pay for a much inferior hotel). If you want a magnificent lodging experience in Orlando, stay at the Hawthorn Inn & Suites. We certainly will whenever we're visiting there.

The hotel staff was very accommodating. However the rooms needed to be upgraded and the bathroom floors needed to be scrubbed down. I would not return to this hotel.

The harthoen is a great place to stay, especially if you have family memebers or kids. I love the kitchen and the seperate bedroom. The breakfast was very good also. if you drink they had wine and beer at 5:00pm.

We were very pleased with our stay at the Hawthorne. The room was clean and well equipped. The beds were good and firm. We were walking distance from area attractions and dining. The hottub was excellent and the pool was great. I really wished I would have booked another day or two here, instead of going back to Treasure Island. I recommend this hotel to anyone and I will definitely go back

I took my daughter and her friends on a mini vacation ...the hotel was located off International Dr away from the hustle and bustle but within walking distance of many of the local activities.

The hotel is convenient to I-4 and major restaurants, yet off from the main streets and in a quiet location. It is obviously old but renovated and clean.

Conviencent to Universal,I-4, Wet-N-Wild and many restuarants. The only complaint we have was that breakfast ends at exactly 9:30am and it is a mad dash to grab what you can before they take it all away.

Hawthorne Suites is a good hotel with a friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast bar needs some help; not many choices. There was some confusion with the correct room, but the staff quickly fixed the issue and moved us into the correct room. They blamed hotels.com for the confusion, but it was a non-issue. Considering the price paid and the location, the hotel experience can be considered very good and was a very good value.

The continental breakfast was a little disappointing. They had only plain creamer, no flavors for the coffee. The guest laundry was small and one of the washer's was broken, which was inconvenient. The wireless internet worked great.

Staff is very nice and cordial. I'm impressed with how clean the room was.

Our stay worked for what we were wanting - never intended to spend a lot of time in the room. We were upgraded to exactly the room we wanted (2 beds). The complete wall and door between LR/Kitchen and Bedroom was perfect for our needs. We did have a couple of days of no maid service and that was a challenge with kids, but we were able to exchange towels without any problem. Also in praise of the maid service, they did our dirty dishes which was a complete surprise to us. Our kids loved the pool, basketball court, and game room.

For the price, I've never stayed in a better hotel. In fact, I've paid a lot more to find bigger lobbies,and fancy restaurants only to have a basic room. We got a suite and the room included a nice kitchenette with a dining table, an ajoining living room area with a TV and a seperate bedroom with its own TV. One odd thing, the living room TV included a VHS player, but no DVD player. The pool area was very nice, and there were tables nearby to eat breakfast outside if you like (instead of the dining room). We did. The hot tub was hot, but the jets didn't move the water much. Also, my son and brother enjoyed playing basketball at the court near the pool.

My wife and I highly recommend staying at this hotel. The price was definitely worth the stay and if not more. Service at the front desk was great. The rooms were clean and did not feel drabby at all. Rooms come with truly FULL kitchen. We will definitely be staying at Hawthorn Suites whenever we come back to Orlando and have recommended it to all of our friends. The breakfast was good enough for us not to go out and buy anything until lunch time. It included, eggs, sausage, toasted bagel or bread, cereal, oatmeal, orange juice, apple juice, hot chocolate, milk, etc. There was also happy hour every evening, I didn't attend, but heard that it came with free beer and chips.

This hotel exceeded our expectations...not only did we have a full kitchen including refrigerator,stove, and dishes, but also a dishwasher! We took full advantage of it cooking up our leftovers from a fabulous restaurant nearby the night before. We were pleased with the hot breakfast buffet, although fresh fruits and yogurt would have been a nice addition. The happy hour from 5:30-7:30 every night with free beer,wine, and snacks was awesome!! One reason I originally booked this particular hotel was because it had a basketball court, which came in very handy with our guys:) Thanks, Hawthorn, for treating us well!! We'll definitely book with you again:)
