Hotel France Albion - Paris

Wir haben uns für dieses Hotel entschieden, da es sehr gut bewertet wurde. Und wir haben uns nicht getäuscht -das Hotel ist für seine 2 Sterne sehr sauber, sehr günstig und liegt in der Nähe von zwei verschiedenen Metro-Stationen. Außerdem liegt es sehr nah am Ostbahnhof. Vom Hotel aus kann man zu Fuß nach Sacre Coeur, zur Oper und zu vielen weiteren Sehenswürdigkeiten. Das Zimmer war für uns groß genug, die anderen Gäste haben wir nicht gehört, nur die Straße vor dem Hotel, aber das ist für Paris normal. Klima gibt es auch auf jedem Zimmer, was bei der Hitze im August perfekt ist. Das Personal spricht fließend englisch und hilft einem gerne weiter. Wir haben uns in dem Hotel rundum wohl gefühlt. Das einzigste, was gefehlt hat, war ein Kühlschrank, aber das kann man bei 2 Sternen auch nicht erwarten.

guter service, tipptopp sauber, personal allzeit freundlich und hilfsbereit, problemlos auch auf englisch, lage gut, gute metroanbindung, zu fuß montmartre bis pompidou erreichbar, supermarkt, bäcker, brasserien ringsum bzw. direkt ggn.über

Hatte, auch wenn es nur 2 Tage waren, eine sehr schöne Zeit in Paris! Es lohnt sich immer wieder! Das HOtel war auch sehr zufriedenstellend, sehr freudliches Personal, top Zimmer, und die "METRO" gleich um die Ecke!

We were concerned about booking a 2 star hotel but with Parisiene prices needs as needs be! Hotel was charming as were all the staff, breakfast was a huge and very pleasant surprise. Decor very smart especially compared with our expectation of a 2 star hotel. Room and public areas absolutely spotless. Downsides were the size of the rooms which reflected the lack of storage space together with being located on a quite small but very noisy side street.

I would return to the Hotel Albion and can recommmend it to anyone wanting an inexpensive hotel within walking distance of many of the main attractions of Paris. Yhe only thing missing was tea/coffee making facities in the rooms. The google map is rather confusing- if walking to the hotel from the Gare de Nord you should simply exit the station at Rue du Mauberg and walk until you see the church in front of you and turn right onto Rue Notre Dame de Lorette- 15-20 minutes.

Hotel was nice - room a little small but bed was comfy and the room and the bathroom were clean. It's a little out of the way (a couple of miles to the Tuileries, but close to Sacre Coeur and the Rue de LaFayette/Boulevard Hausseman - easy for buses and the Metro), but if you don't mind a wander (my wife and I did an 11-mile circuit round Paris) it's fine and Notre Dame de Lorette is a relatively quiet area. The only issues people have with the 9ieme is that there are hawkers near Sacre Coeur and the Rue de Clichy (Moulin Rouge) is seedy and downmarket (i.e. sex shops!), but the hotel is far enough away not to be tainted by this. Overall, for the money, I'd say it's as good as you'd get in Paris. In short, I would go back. If you're keen for breakfast at the hotel, go early! The buffet is rarely topped up, and at 9am there was hardly anything left, no hot food or croissants - bit of a waste of 13 euros, especially when there are some nice bars open for breakfast nearby.

My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights. Hotel was 2/3* standard. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I asked for quiet room and they happily obliged and put us on the top floor with only a 10-15 minute wait. Breakfast was included and was very nice. Hotel and room very clean, although room a little small, but same said for most Paris hotel rooms. It was handy having toiletries in the room, especially if you are unable to bring them on your flight. Very short walk from St Georges metro and a 15-20 minute walk to The Opera House. Here you will find shops and department stores and access to Hop-On-Off buses. We used the bus for 2 days and got a carnet - 10 metro tickets, which covered us both when we couldn't use the bus. There is a supermarket just over the road and No stress Cafe, terrace cafe serving reasonably priced food, in Rue Clauzel just up the road on the way to Moulin Rouge. Sacre Couer is about 15min walk and is lovely in the evening. You get a terrific buzz there listening to music on the steps and where people gather with a few drinks and food while overlooking Paris city. We had a great time and would definitely go back to this hotel. Thanks!

We chose this hotel because it got good reviews for an inexpensive, centrally-located, Paris hotel. Pleased to report that it lived up to its reviews. It was comfortable and convenient and the hotel staff were freindly and helpful. Would defintitely recommend to others.

I've been to Paris a lot and most hotel rooms are small, old and dirty. So this place was quite a surprise when I found it. Its in a great location, very comfortable, staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. And the price was so cheap for a holiday weekend in Paris.

For a 2* hotel in Paris, this was a good choice. It's about 5-10 min walk from Haussman, the big street with Opera & Galeries Lafayette. Metro stop is 3 mins away, on the green line 12. We paid 3 nights & had our 4th night for free, breakfast included when we booked through this website. Buffet breakfast had a decent selection. Room was smallish, space for twin beds with just a little space to walk around, table, 2 chairs, tv, wardrobe, safe. Since we were only spending time there to sleep, it was fine. If you're planning on spending all day in your hotel room, why bother go to Paris?

U GET WHAT U PAY FOR

We had three nights with very little sleep due to the sounds of cars and motorcycles coming in through the closed windows. I would give the place two thumbs up if not for this.

France Albion is in a good location between the Gard St Lazare and Gard de Nord. The staff speak excellent English and provide a good service. The hotel is clean and looks like it has been recently refurbished. An enjoyable stay and recommended.

We enjoyed our stay.The hotel was well located and close to shops, restaurants and underground.The hotel staff were polite and the room was spacious and clean.

The room was recently refurbished, cheery, clean and comfortable though quite compact. Reception staff were most helpful and friendly. Location is ten minutes walk from Opera, Gare Du Nord and Montmartre/Moulin Rouge and several Metro stations are nearby. Local shops in abundance and a fine little corner cafe a stone's throw away. Breakfast was quite comprehensive and included bacon, scrambled egg, DIY boiled eggs, potatoes, a selection of bread, cereals, fruit juices, grapefruit segments, yogurt, ham, cheese, salami, however the breakfast staff were unable to keep up with demand so it was lucky if all the items we wanted were available. As long as you can cope with the breakfast situation, I would recommend this hotel and we will likely stay here again.

The hotel was a stone's throw from the Metro and you can pick up your morning croissant at the baker's next to the entrance. My single room was clean and comfortable but small, but the location and the price make up for that. It is just 2 stops on the metro to Montmatre or you could walk. It is also an easy journey to one of the stops by the Seine. Lots of bars and restaurants near by. You can also walk to the Gare du Nord for the journey home, took about 15 mins towing a wheely case. Avoid the Gare du Nord except in daylight, horrible area!

Paris became even more pleasant for me, because I have lodged in this hotel.. Excellent service, good site and reasonable prices... no more words, thank you! p.s. Next time I`ll try to book room in this hotel again.

Except that my single room was miniscule,the smallest in the hotel,it was quite comfy and adequate. Very comfortable bed and A/C worked nicely. Nice clean bathroom with tiny curtained shower in the corner, but lots of instant hot water and good pressure. Fresh towels daily. A very nice breakfast - a bit expensive - 12.50 E - but included boiled or scrambled eggs, meat, and potatoes as well as breads, cheese, etc., coffee and juice. Ice available at the bar. A computer available in the lobby for 7 E for 30 minutes, but convenient. Nice helpful staff and good location on nearby Metro lines. Lovely shaded little park at St. Georges - enter the kids' playground and veer left. A great bakery near N.D. de Lorette metro. Good restaurants nearby. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. P.S. They had a nice little meeting room with projection screens on the ground floor. Good elevator.

Fantastic place. Only downside, the room that I had was to the front of the building and thus quite noisy from the restaurant nearby. If I should go again, I will consider a room at the back of the hotel. Otherwise, great place, nothing to complain about.

Vistelsen på Hotel France Albion var mycket bra! Vi bemöttes av riktigt bra service. På grund av att kassaskrinet i rummet vi först blev tilldelade inte fungerade erbjöds vi att byta rum och båda rummen vi bodde i var jättefina! Läget på hotellet är mycket bra, med T-bana 3 min bort och city (Seine) ligger 20 min promenad. Jag rekommenderar varmt detta hotell.

l'hotel si trova in una buona posizione. tra due fermate della metro (anche se della stessa linea). le camere sono molto piccole ma pulite e silenziose. il personale e' professionale e disponibile.

Nicely situated in a quiet neighbourhood, with two of the metro lines close by. The service was good, rooms nice and nicely located. Would stay here again.

Fint og rent hotell. TV på rommet. Små rom, men helt ok. God seng. Fint bad. Litt trafikkstøy, men har opplevd det verre. Lite å trekke ned på.

L'hôtel en lui-même est très bien situé. Le personnel est très sympathique. Malheureusement, les murs sont très très fin, et si vous avez la malchance (comme moi) de tomber sur un voisin ronfleur, vous risquez une nuit blanche ! De plus, je suis tombé un mauvais jour, le chauffe-eau était en panne !! La personne à l'accueil m'a promis de faire un geste commercial, que j'attends encore !! En résumé, l'hôtel est très bien placé, on est tres bien accueilli mais vu l'épaisseur des cloisons, je déconseille les longs séjours.

Hôtel très bien situé, excellent accueil.....y ai passé 2 nuits et le deuxieme soir, l'hôtel a organisé un petit pot pour le beaujolais nouveau pour tous les clients, ce qui fut tres apprecié. Seul bémol, la taille de la chambre simple......la 12 en l'occurence.....

Mysigt litet hotell med rimliga priser o gullig personal nära till alla möjliga restauranter med take away. Hissen fungerade inte när jag var där. Trots rökförbud i hotellets allmänna utrymmen så röks det flitigt vilket märks i hela hotellet.

The staff speaking English, the cleaness of he room and great location of the hotel make it perfect for turists! If I come back to Paris I'll stay here again. Enjoy your time in France!
