Easy to find, free parking, clean efficient lobby. Room was spotless, spacious and well appointed. The only downside was wifi was only available in the lobby. However, once I had returned from the lobby, I continued to get a signal. The pool was clean and tidy, with a nice view over the Colorado river. I couldn't find a single fault with the hotel overall

Room requested (king bed) was not available, so with no prompting from customer hotel personnel upgraded the room to a premium double room for no additional charge. The room was very nice and well maintained.

This is our hotel of choice in Laughlin. We especially like the large sports bar and the casino. Also, the Golden Nugget is centrally located along the Laughlin "strip," so all other hotels are easily accessible via the river walk. The hotel personnel were exceptionally nice and the dealers at the tables were hilarious and personable.

Visited on the week days had a great price. The room was large,bed very comfey, the bath mat was a nice touch. Will diffently come back. Only draw back is the pool is small and filled with kids.

I dropped our baggage in the room and felt that the room deodorizer was a little strong, but hoped it would dissapate while we were out. We went to dinner and played. When we returned at 9:00 P.M. an overwhelming, noxious odor permeated the room (my husband claims it was vomit). When we complained, we were told they were sold out,but they could ozone the room. It would take an hour. We left, came back and it was better. However, when I opened my luggage, my clothes wreaked with the odor of the room. The bed was so hard, I didn't sleep the entire night. Although it was supposedly pillowtop, it was worn to the point of having no top left. The next morning I left the room and refused to go back in it. We went to the front desk to complain. They did get us another room. Fortunately, the bed was comfortable and the room did not stink. There were little things on top of the obnoxious discomforts I did not like. The pool has no jacuzzi. I know the Colorado Belle and Tropicana have them for the same room rates. The shower heads did not move and in the first room, you had to stand against the wall to get under the flow of water. The hallways were stifling hot. Air was only turned on in the rooms. Overall, the visit stunk. The staff, however, were helpful and caring. They just can't compensate for a lousy product.

Stayed for one night. Been over 10 years since my last stay there, and nothing has changed that I can tell. Rooms are just fine. Nothing special but clean and comfortable. Spent a few hours at the pool with kids. The pool furniture is really exceptional. Very upscale chairs and loungers. My only complaint: There were two skunks roaming around the pool area and hotel staff did nothing to get rid of them. Perhaps they were harmless, but it made the guests at the pool area very nervous.

Golden Nugget is a very nice hotel and casino. Has a starbucks, Joe's crabshack. 5.99 tbone is very good also the 9.99 prime rib dinner was excellent as well. Small piece of prime rib but ended up being more than enough to satisfy my appetite. Prime rib was very flavorful and mash potatoes were outstanding. Only paid 19.99 a night because I made reservation on weekday. Had a great time.

This was a great value for the price and had a very good and inexpensive breakfast!

The hotel was beautiful but the floor where my room was located smelled cuz the toilet was not working in many rooms including mine. It smelled horribly made me nauseous.

great hotel will stay here agin it was our first time it was great

Price was great, room spacious. Pool was a bit small, but the view of the river from the pool area was nice. Poolside furniture was surprisingly upscale. Very satisfied with this hotel, will probably stay here again when coming back to laughlin.

They could not give us the kind of room we wanted but they were nice. The wall paper was coming off the walls in the bathroom and the bathtub faucet leaked. The bed spreads looked like they came from the seventy's but maybe that was on purpose.

Our stay was wonderful. The facilities were fun and very enjoyable. I will visit again.

this was a very affordable and comfortable hotel. It was family friendly and conveniently located right on the river bank. Staff were kind and helpful. I particularly enjoyed the free wi-fi internet access at several designated locations in the hote. Definitely would recommend this hotel.

Very nice lobby and room. This Hotel has the least amount of rooms and the best service on the strip. Great views and resturants. This is not over crowded just very nice place to stay.

The rooms were fine and the pool area was above average. We were only in town one night and the Golden Nugget was a solid choice.

The hotel was OK. When we first checked in they gave us an 'upgraded' room. It was very nice, but it was a smoking room. I had originally requested a non-smoking room. The room reeked. I couldn't get past the smell. The 'upgrades' weren't worth it. We requested a non-smoking room and were given one. It was just average, but the A/C wall unit didn't work very well.

I booked at the Golden Nugget after reading all of the great reviews here at hotels.com. The Nugget is a great place to stay. The location is just near the end of the "strip" and walking along the River Walk to the rest of the casinos was easy and enjoyable. The Casino is very clean and well maintained. One of the nicest I saw in Laughlin. The restaurants are great. Be sure to eat at Harlow's for lunch, Saltgrass Steak House for dinner, or Joe's Crab Shack. The room itself was very clean. Very comfortable bed, nice garden view. The only complaint I had was the smell. When I arrived, the hallway smelled of sewage. I entered my room and it smelled like baby powder and sewage. This smell would not go away the entire time I was in the room. That is why I say the Golden Nugget is almost perfect. The pool area was very relaxing, but the pool itself was very small and dirty. Overall, a great location, amazingly comfortable bed, great casino, amazing restaurants, but the smell in the hallways and room was intolerable.

The restaurants Saltgrass and Bob's Crabshack need some service upgrades but the rest is great.

The covered parking garage is connected to the hotel via an elevator to the lobby, which was especially welcome on a triple-digit day. The first thing you notice is a sweet, cloying smell once inside the hotel, I'm guessing from the garden/waterfall that separates the lobby from the casino. Maybe some folks like it, but I don't, and wouldn't stay there again for that alone.. I understand the need to cut costs and maintain quality of service, etc., but the 4:00PM check-in that seems to have been adopted by the local hotels as a means of achieving reductions is pushing it. I arrived at 2:30PM and was told my room wasn't ready, but they would look for one that was, which I appreciated. Of course, the one that was available didn't have the view of the river that I had reserved, but it was 112 outside, and as I was early and didn't have to go back out, I wasn't complaining. The room was very average and not in the same class as Harrah's or Tropicana Express. I ended up checking out an hour earlier than expected, not wanting to see the outcome of the silverfish's trek up the wall...at least the air conditioning worked reasonably well. The casino was outstanding, both in terms of games/limits offered, and the demeanor of the staff. Craps was $3 and Blackjack was $5, both with openings day or night. Pit crew was very engaging and helpful in getting players card, etc. I had a whopping $3.15 in comps on my player's card when I checked out, but I figured enough for some water and a power bar for the road. When I presented my card at the gift shop, I was told that I the only merchandise I could use it for was cigarettes, which as a former smoker, I find extremely offensive; enough so that I won't be staying at a Golden Nugget, whether Laughlin or Las Vegas, again.

Are stay was only 2 days, but everybody there were great with the service. Thay could use a bit larger pool. The entire staff at the restaurants were great, In all we had a great stay, and do plan on returning there again...

It was the first time we had stayed at the Golden Nugget. We were very satisfied with our accommodations. The pool area was very nice, but for the size of the hotel, the pool could have been larger. We had our daughter and 2 grandchildren with us and were able to get adjoining rooms. Nice hotel for the money. We would stay there again.

I love the hotel! Great rates, great location and service. The only problem was that I dont like the fact that the floors are wood.! I have a 3yr old and if he ran the noise was loud and if people walked down the hall our lamp would raddle. Besides that I loved it. And i recommend it!!

Great room for the price. Only problem was at 3:30 am when the fire alarm went off and woke everyone up.

hotel was very nice and didn't have the usual smoke smell whenyou walked into it. only upsetting hing wasthat we booked a room over a month in advance and asked for a non-smoking room but we received a smoking room instead. they told us they didn't have any (don't know why they sell what they don't have). the next day i complained about it and they moved us to a non-smoking room. i would definetly stay here again.

We recently stayed 3 nights at the Golden Nugget in Laughlin. We originally chose this hotel because of the cleanliness and smell (I cannot stand smoke smell). Also, we really like the choices of restaurants in the hotel. We ate at Harlow's, fabulous salads and Saltgrass, great steaks and wine choices.

I was very pleasantly surprised upon entering through the lobby of this casino. Usually the smell of cigarette smoke hits you as you enter the doors, but I did not smell cigaretts here. The room was great and the bed was extremely comfortable.

It was a comfortable hotel room. Nothing exciting. We did not care for the people making noise in the middle of the night. Loved Joe's Crab Shack, which is in the Golden Nugget. We also loved that they had a non-smoking slot machine area.

The Golden Nugget in Laughlin is well worth the cost - it's clean, the room was fine (albeit with a view of the parking structure). My only real complaint was a rather limited cable selection, ie no CNN, but Fox News

The rooms are clean, and beds comfortable. The staff was very accomodating. Would stay again.
