Hotel Savoy - Genf

Das Hotel war ausgebucht und das Personal offensichtlich überfordert. Zum Frühstück gab es keine Tassen, keine Gabeln. Erst nach Aufforferung und einer Zeitspanne. Allgemein eher unfreundlich. Für die Preisklasse nicht zu empfehlen.

Best location across from central station, walk to the lake. Includes WiFi,free, in your room! Includes a transit card for the duration of your stay. Includes a more than adequate breakfast. Bathrooms are ridiculously tiny, but how much time are you going to spend in there anyway? Good value.

No one was present at reception and I had to wait ten minutes for someone to show up. Room was right above reception and very noisy, both from street noise and from lobby noise. Remote control for TV was missing and after I requested and received one, it didn't work. Free pass for Geneva public transportation is a nice plus, though I wasn't there long enough to take advantage of it. If you need to be close to train station, it's adequate, but I wouldn't stay there otherwise.

LOCATION When arriving at Geneva Airport, after picking up your luggage don't forget to collect your free public transport ticket from the machine located in the luggage collection area by the exit door. This will give you free travel anywhere in Geneva for the next 80 mins. Then go and catch any train to Central Geneva (they all go there) which only takes about 6 mins and free with your travel card. Very easy. Arriving at Geneva train station, the hotel is located on Place de Cornavin which is just a few mins (no more than 5mins) walk away from the station. HOTEL Check-in was smooth and you get a travel pass for ALL public transport within the whole of Geneva (inc trams, trains, passanger boats and buses) throughout your stay. Rooms have air-con, fridge and safe. Furnishing is a bit dated but the rooms are clean. We had a room facing the back to a very quiet courtyard so we had no problem with noise. BREAKFAST It is served in the nearby Brittania Pub (2 doors away) and you get vouchers for it from the receptionist each morning. The continental breakfast is OK but the cooked is nothing spectacular. The pub is not a very nice setting for breakfast but was acceptable for a short break.

The hotel is comfortable and clean. The breadfast is nice. However, I have to mention the receptionist. During our stay, the daytime stuff (a man) was very helpful and friendly. But the lady was very rude and mean. She's not friendly at all, you can hardly get any word out of her. She needs to change her attitude. There was the only downside of this hotel.

OLDISH HOTEL IDEALLY LOCATED WITH VERY HELPFUL PERSONNEL. WOULD HAVE LLIKE NICER BUT THE LOCATION WAS IDEAL.

Let me start by saying that the man at the front desk was SUPER helpful and went above and beyond with restaurant recommendations, answering questions, and providing directions. The hotel is in a fantastic location, literally across the street from the train station. My biggest gripe was that the bed was really 2 twin mattresses joined together. that wasn't the worst part - one side seemed as though it had a crater in it. I woke up very sore and hope they do replace the mattress!

Good value and location.

it was a nice hotel. the room size was o.k. but bathroom was too small. if you are taller than 5 foot 6 you WILL have hard time in the bathroom!

The Savoy is right across the street from Cornevin train station so very convenient for our one-night stopover. Geneva is very accessible by foot so we were able to explore the city center easily from this location. The air-conditioned room was wonderfully quiet and the complimentary breakfast satisfactory. The beds were comfortable, but there was an extra bed in our room which made things cramped The only negative was the rate which seemed more expensive than this basic accommodation should charge, but Geneva is not for bargain hunters.

Litet trevligt hotell, utmärkt beläget nära järnvägsstationen, mycket god frukost och fräscha rum. Finns inget att klaga på, möjligen hissen som var mycket liten.

Helt ok hotell. Rent, trivelige ansattte og yppelig beliggenhet - rett ved jernbanestasjonen og 10 min g til sentrum. Det var svært varm da jeg var der, og jeg savnet aircondition på rommet

I was extremely pleased with this hotel. The first room I had smelled like smoke even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking room, but they gave me a new one no questions asked and it was exactly the same (but without the smoke smell!). The wireless was great, breakfast was fine, and they give you a little card for all the public transit you need until you leave. It's right across from the train station where almost every single bus/tram goes so it's super easy to get around Geneva and Switzerland in general.
