Alles soweit ok zB sehr reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet sowie excelenter und aufmerksamer Service Zimmer sind zwar sauber Ausstattung allerdings in die Jahre gekommen und entsprechen nicht der Vorstellung eines Fünf Sterne Hotels zB ekelhafter Plastikduschvorhang unappetitliche Antirutschmatte in der Wanne schwergängige Armaturen verstopfte Waschbecken Fön als stinkendes und unwirksames Gebläse mit Schlauch

The hotel is a five star hotel but I think the decor it is a little dated and while the service was good it was not up to what you would expect from a UK or Irish 5 star hotel. In saying that the rate reflected this and I would stay again. The room was big, comfortable and quite fitted our requirements.

We only stayed for one night and had booked a standard room with a double bed. On being shown to our room it actually had two single beds pushed together. The decor was very shabby and old looking and there were a few hairs from the previous occupant in the bathroom. We did have breakfast included in the price of the stay and this was very good. But quality was what you would expect from any hotels in England regardless of the star rating. Overall I don't think we will stay here again. I don't believe that this hotel should be rated as five star, maybe a 3/4!!!

My family and I recently stayed at the Princesa Sofia. The hotel and its staff were first class. The concierge were really attentive and most helpful when it came to us asking all sorts of questions about accessing the sights of Barcelona. You can also save money during your stay by purchasing a bus tourist pack which reduces the cost of the sight seeing bus tours as well as other attractions. Unbeknown to us the concierge had also established from my husbands passport that it was his birthday during our stay and delivered a complimentary bottle of champagne, which was a really nice touch and demonstrated their commitment to caring for their customers and hiigh levels of custmer service. Everything about the hotel was faultless; comfort, cleanliness and high standards of decor and finishes. There is a secure underground car park to the hotel which you have to pay extra for. I would highly recommend this hotel if you want somewhere really nice to stay in Barcelona.

The overall impression from staff to facilities was fabulous. I only have one complaint; the in room TV channels offered no children or family channels in English and there was no facility to purchase family movies which meant entertaining the family at night we had no choice but to leave the hotel. Food, staff, room cleanliness etc were great.

We were very impressed and surprised at the quality, service & location of this hotel. We opted for the club-level service which significantly exceed our expectations. The club-level included free access to a fully stocked bar and some really nice food including fresh fruit. Our family regularly ate our meals there and we were able to save a small bundle as a result. It is also very close to Camp Nou, which is the home field of the Barcelona soccer (football) team. Given this, it is not unusual to see star soccer players at the hotel. Indeed, in our case we were actually able to hang with Ibrahamovic at the hotel - who, by the way, is a REALLY nice person.

We booked a Club Room, and had free acces to the Club Lounge, free drinks, snack food, alcohol etc We also had free acces to pool and fitness. We used the pool area a lot, as we had our 2 year old son with us. Breakfast buffet is amazing, but use the one in Contraste restaurant, not the club lounge one. All staff speaks great english, staff seems competent and are very friendly. We especially enjoyed the waiters, who are older guys(+50), who are funny and efficient.

Wow, we found this hotel and the staff to be absolutely delightful. The staff on the front desk were pleasant, friendly and helpful, with useful and accurate information. We booked the comfort double, which was a tastefully decorated bedroom, very clean and the bathroom was lovely too . The bed was incredibly comfortable, in fact we slept better in the hotel room than we do at home:-). We were surprised at how quiet the room was in spite of it being at the front of the hotel. I had a problem with the light in the bedroom and there was an engineer up within 10 minutes to sort it out, much to my embarassment the light switch worked when he tried:-/. Our deal included breakfast, which was a big plus as most hotels in spain don't really do deals including breakfast. We didn't drink at the bar or eat dinner in the restaurant, so can't comment on them. Barcelona is definitely not short of good places to eat, there are a few restaurants around the corner from the hotel but we didn't think the food or service at these restaurants was good, in fact we found the service at a restaurant called mango incredibly rude, the food there didn't make up for the rude service either and was quite expensive considering. This hotel is a 3 min walk from the metro station, maria cristina, so travelling to and from the sights and attractions was easy.

Pricessa Sofia is in a great location, within walking distances to shoppping centers, bus and metro lines. The room is comfortable, specious, particularly the bathroom. Carpet has spots and looks worn, so needs replacement. Breakfast buffet is plentiful

The room was fitted out for a disabled person and had a very low shower unit and no bath. The main foyer of the hotel was quite dated and would need to be modernised. Also, the clearing of used tables in the dining room was quite slow as was the service at times. A EUR12 per use charge for the main gym/spa was much too high for paying guests.

Very impressed with the hotel. Stayed in a 'Comfort Double Room'. First of all, they gave us a twin room although I requested a Double, however they did give us a Double room without any quibbles. I'm glad that other reviews of the hotel stated that you had to pay to use the hotel swimming pool as they did not mention this when we arrived. As it was Easter Holidays it was reduced to 9 euros insted of 12 euros. Overall, I was very pleased with everything. We did not eat or drink in the hotel as the prices was sky high.

The lobby and exterior of this hotel were great. The staff was generally helpful, although we did have issues with service when requesting things from our room. We ordered glasses and towels and had to call again because not one brought anything. We also had issues with their internet, but they took the charges off of our bill, so I was satisfied with that. The rooms were in need of an update/renovation and had peeling wallpaper, bumpy carpet and strange vents which wafted cigarette smoke into our bathroom, even though our whole floor was smoke free. It was on the green line so taking the metro into town was not difficult. The stop is about a block and a half away. There is also a Starbucks on the way to the metro, which was nice. They allowed us to leave our car in the parking in front of the hotel instead of parking in the garage for 20 euro/day. The hotel restaurant was unimpressive, and expensive. We had the buffet one evening, and it was 30 euros per person, which I found steep since the food was not great. The concierge was helpful and able to point us toward nice restaurants. There was an ATM in the lobby, which was helpful as it is unsafe to go to some ATMs on the streets.

I had an incident where I lost my passport and needed a lot of help from the hotel staff. Even before this happened, the service was perfect and the rooms are nice and spacious. The entire staff was very helpful for me when I was in need of help. They could not have been more friendly or useful. I highly recommend this hotel, both in terms of quality for price and also in cases of emergencies.

If you mamange to book a room at the club level you will get a decent room, clean, with an excellnet bath and outstanding service at the club level, which is open 7AM-11PM non-stop, 7 days a week. The treats are outstanding and the staff is wonderful. Also a beautiful view form up there, lots of art albums to review if you don't want to watch the programs on the flat screen TVs . Enjoy your champaigne or wine or beer and the great Spanish hoeurs d'oevres or wonderful full bodied creamy esspressos or cappucinos or lattes at any time of the day!

This hotel is too far from the centre of Barcelona & expect to pay around 10-15 Euros for a taxi back to hotel if you go out. The hotel charges over 30 Euros for use of its fitness facilities & if you want to use it daily then this can be very expensive. I would not class this hotel as a five star establishment, as it does not have the feel of a five star hotel. Hence, if you are looking for a truly luxurious stay in Barcelona then pay that bit extra & get something closer to cultural centre: getting a cheaper hotel 10 miles from anywhere will prove uneconomincal in the long run! Better still don't go to Barcelona, go to a real capital city like Paris, London, New York or Rome and experience the true spirit of cosmopolitanism & not some jumped up little city that is full of pretentious & unfriendly people.

Det borde VERKLIGEN stå att det kostar 12 euro att bada i poolen!!!! per person!!!!! Det blir dyrt när man bokat en vecka med barn som vill bada hela tiden.

Meget hyggelig betjening som gjør sitt ytterste for dine ønsker og spørsmål. Det er bare å benytte seg av deres concierge-service til det den er verdt. Det eneste vi savnet var litt mer informasjon om fasilitetene på selve hotellet.

Hotellet ligger fint til i forhold til bruk av t-bane, det har hyggelig betjening, god mat og en vennlig atmosfære. Den tyske biergarten på hotellet var litt for bayersk for vår del - litt malplassert- , men hadde hygglig betjening. Fine restauranter rett over gaten både spanske og tyske retter, men selv likte vi vel Starbucks aller best.

Il s'agissait pour nous d'une pause d'une nuit. C'est un beau mais très vieillissant hotel avec pour notre chambre une moquette remplie de tâches ( très désagréable). Le reste est correct (silence, petit déjeuner)

Et godt hotel i forbindelse med besøg på Nou Camp, værelserne er fine, receptionen fungerer. Barpriser og minibar er dyre i forholde til resten af Barcelonas udbud.

Hotel ottimo, vale le 5 stelle dichiarate. Personale gentilissimo. Per la cucina abbiamo provato solo la prima colazione, abbondante e varia di tipo internazionale. La posizione è comodissima per raggiungere la metropolitana e l'autobus turistico.

Simpelthen et fantastisk godt hotel, som gjorde mit ophold i Barcelona endnu bedre. Hotellets ansatte stod på stilke for en hvis der ellers var noget at klage over... Og det var der ikke. Skøn morgenmads-buffet. Dejligt værelse. Metro tæt på hotellet som jeg benyttede hver dag. Når jeg skal til Barcelona igen, er det helt klart dette hotel jeg vil vælge.

un cinq étoiles, qui en a déjà perdue une sur sa façade. nous avons eu droit à une chambre à deux lits et un lit d'appoint ajouté pour notre fille de huit ans, celui-ci étant inconfortable, nous avons fait du camping durant 4 nuits. Tout service supplémentaire sera à payer en plus de ce que vous avez déjà réglé (piscine, web etc). L'hotel est excentré et ne justifie pas 5 étoiles sauf par la présence d'une ribambelle de personnel désoeuvré. Ne mettez pas l'étiquette ne pas déranger à votre porte et vous constaterez 6 entrées impromptues dans votre chambre sans savoir pour quel motif... Je déconseille fortement... d'autres hotels de centre ville coûtent bien moins chers et sont plus confortables.

Bel hotel, belle chambre. Attention le parking n'appartient pas à l'hotel, son coût journalier 25 euros, petit déjeuner 20 euros par personne. Juste ne face de l'hotel le bar fait un bon petit déjeuner. Le SPA est très bien et très agréable. Proche du métro pour se rendre dans le centre.
