Moose Creek Inn - West Yellowstone

Die Zimmer sind klein und etwas düster, modern ist, was das ganze Motel betrifft, etwas anderes. Wir waren trotzdem zufrieden, die Zimmer waren sauber. Wer sich voll und ganz auf seinen Yellowstone-Besuch konzentriert und abends nicht die Wellness-Abwechslung oder den Luxus-Schock sucht, für den sollte das Motel auch wegen des Preises OK sein.

West Yellowstone is the main entrance and exit stop-over for Yellowstone National Park, and it is because of this that hotels are expensive. I chose the Moose Creek Inn due to its low price in comparison to others in the area. The hotel also offered free wireless internet, which is a deciding factor for me. The unfortunate reality is that, unless you are situated directly adjacent to the front lobby, your wireless probably won't work. Luckily, you are allowed to lounge in the lobby from 7:30am-9pm (which also has one desktop computer) and they also have a patio right outside the lobby. Other than that, the room was clean, fairly quiet, and very cute. The bed was overly soft but not necessarily uncomfortable. They did have DirectTV in the room, which was nice.

The Moose Creek Inn is a hidden gem. It doesn't standout next to the surrounding larger hotels, but I found it very cozy, and the staff very helpful. We had a bit of trouble finding it with the gps, but I called and got easy to follow directions. The room was very comfortable with many fluffy pillows, and there were plenty of channels to watch on the DirecTV. Everything was immaculate. The bathroom sink had a slow drain, but it wasn't a problem. The complimentary muffins, coffee, teas, and juice were great. There was also a nice assortment of sample freebies (gum, toiletries, etc) by the front desk. Great experience overall.

Arrived late, check-in closes at 9pm, and found our key on a tab outside. Room was quaint and quirky, patchwork bedspread. Quite compact but big enough for 2. Might be small for 4. Wifi only works in the lobby. Only 2 blocks from the town area, and 5 minutes from the entrance to the Park.

The hotel is not badly run. However, the room was tiny and cramped and the beds were old and not all that comfortable, but there was memory foam on top of the bed. They were still not very comfortable. Despite an outside temp in the 40s, the room stayed too warm all night. Neither of us was able to sleep well. We have stayed in other places in the area and this was not nearly as comfortable and the price is not inexpensive at all. The glare of the very bright outside lights of the motel made the room too bright all night and made sleeping well difficult.

Small, but cozy and cute. It was clean. I loved the colors and decor it was decorated very nicely to go with the local area. The only thing I didn't like was the noses from the other rooms. The walls are a little thin and the pipes are old so you can hear the water and squealing when someone in the other room uses the water. The shower was also very small. I am a short small person, but I had trouble taking a shower in such cramped quarters. Over all it was a nice small place. For the price it wasn't bad.

The location of the hotel was outstanding if you were planning on spending most of your time in the park. We were within walking distance of the majority and restaurants in town. If your not planning on spending the majority of your time in your room I would highly recommend this hotel. The rooms were small but cozy and it exceeded my expectations.

All the comments about the rooms being small are correct. The rooms are very small. It's obvious that the motel is old, but the people who own it have done as much as they possibly can to improve the place without a major renovation. New paint, nice decorations, etc... The room was clean and we were satisfied. Owner was very nice and helpful. They do have wireless internet but only the rooms close to the lobby have a good connection. We were in the farthest room and I could connect, but it was very weak. Room included a refrig. and microwave. Lots of charm.

The owners have tried (it seems all that they are prepared to do) many small cosmetic improvements, but the hotel rooms are very small and expensive for what they are. There are no tubs (shower only) and no hotel amenieties, other than patchy wireless internet access and newly installed satelite TV (small CRT TVs). Breakfast is not included - it's coffee and muffins, plus whatever samples they can get.

Very cute, but tight quarters. The bed was very uncomfortable for 2 people with varying weight. The place, however, was clean and well kept.

I was very sorry someone wrote and said to stay here. The staff is great. The Motel is the worst thing around the area.Old and very small and there is a terrible whistling noise every time someone turns on the water in the motel. Look around for better options !!!!

Staff was always friendly. The room was small; just large enough for 2 double beds, but well decorated, and comfortable. We loved having small fridge and microwave in the room. The TV was small, and reception was poor. Wifi didn't work in our room, but worked in the lobby. We were just looking for someplace to sleep, and this place is great for that. We would stay here again.

The rooms were extremely small and if you are staying with a family of 4 there is liitle room to move around in. I think that it is a perfect place for 2 people to stay in especially if they are only going to use the room to sleep and shower in.

We most likely would have given this a top rating except our room was a little tight and on the street side of the hotel. The noise from winter snowmobile traffic was distracting. We viewed rooms on the "backside" and the "adjacent" property and found them quietier and roomer with more ammenities. This older hotel property is under new ownership and the new paint and decor had a refreshing country feel. The owners were very helpful and hospitable and have made very welcoming lobby areas to sip conplimentry coffee and yummy muffins. It is obvious they have put a lot of heart into the property.

The warm, rustic ambiance and comfy bed with cotton sheets and down (alternative) comforter were much appreciated on a cold, snowy winter night. The nice folks who run the adjacent Moose Creek Cabins recently purchased and renovated this property and offer very good rates in a quiet location. The helpful owner recommended the Gusher Restaurant for dinner: great pizza!

The hotel was clean and very cozy with a quaint feel to it. It was small but had plenty of room for what we needed, plus the price was well worth what we received. Highly recommended and we will definitely stay there again.

the room was smallish but very clean. a good deal.

I felt like I was in a box, it was so small of a room. The room was very expensive for what I got. This hotel charges way too much for the box we stayed in. Save your money and go somewhere else for the price.

petit motel le prix est juste par rapport à la proximité du parc de Yellowstone, les chambres à 2 lits sont un peu petite, mais propres, la réception sympa, petit déj continental, wifi ds la chambre

Not too good, but clean and situation OK. With a breakfeast will be better.
