Westin New York Times Square - New York

Wir waren mit dem Hotel und der Lage sehr zufrieden. Ausgesprochen gut hat uns das Eckzimmer gefallen, tolle Aussicht auf das Empire State und den Hudson River, sogar die Freiheitsstatue konnte man erkennen. Sehr zentral, dadurch auch etwas laut, liegt vor allem an dem Gehupe der Autos.

Wau absolut Top. Da muss das Hotel Edison in nächster Nähe einpacken.

Positiv ist der relativ neue Zustand des Hotels. Die Zimmergröße ist für New Yorker Verhältnisse gut. Das Bad hat wenig Komfort, zuviel Design ohne Funktion. Wenig Ablagemöglichkeiten; eher für Geschäftsreisende als für Urlauber gemacht! Service wird für ein Hotel dieser Kategorie wenig geboten. Auskünfte des Concierge sind mit Vorsicht zu geniessen! Das relativ kleine Fitness-studio kostet 10.- Dollar am Tag. Es ist alles soweit ok, aber vom Hocker reißt es einen nicht. Durch die teilweise langen Schlangen vor den Theatern kommt man abends nur schlecht durch!

Sehr gutes Hotel mit exzellenter Lage mitten im Musical-District. Ist allerdings natürlich teuer.

The room I had reserved and paid for in advance (and confirmed the afternoon of my arrival) was not ready when I arrived at 7pm! They put me in a different type of room with the promise of a change the next day. That meant that my friend and I had to share a king bed rather than having the individual doubles that I had reserved. The second day our key cards had been de-magnetized and we couldn't get in to our room. The staff responded quickly, but I thought the process should have been smoother.

Room service was pricey but quite fulfilling. The overall service of this location was great. Location was very convenient to the theatre district. Enjoyed the time spent here. Will definitely consider on next trip to the city.

Hotel is centrally located in Time Square. Bed is very comfortable. Wonderful shower.

Rooms are small in New York and they put an exercise bike and weights in the room. If I want to work out I will go to the gym......rather have the space.

The Times Square location met all of our needs. The bed was, indeed, "Heavenly". This is one of our favorite Manhattan Hotels.

We would stay there again, anytime. Outstanding location, in the heart of Times Square, convenient to everything. Rooms are very comfortable and quiet.

Considering the previous comments listed and the cost of the room, I was surprised to see that there were so many extra charges for use of their facilities. There is a charge for internet use, business facilities, use of the fitness center,etc. In addition,the business center had much to be desired - NOT for the business traveler. The speed of the internet was dial-up pace and the server was inconsistent. It is unfortunate considering the rooms and personnel were of high quality.

2nd NYC visit for mom & daughter. Perfect location, everything was outstanding. Would not change a thing!

Everything is perfect about the hotel...rooms...service....comfort....location.., but you've gotta pay for it. Highly recommended though.

The hotel is a block from Times square and Broadway so the location is great !! The hotel is very clean and the eds are fabulous ! This is the 2nd time I stayed here and I would stay again.

I travel to NYC a 2/3 times a year and try various hotels. I will try to stay at the Westin Times Square for now on. We were on a family vacation with our 7 and 10 year olds. You can't beat the location! Time Square at the end of the block. Subways right there and all the other places that kids love, MacDonalds, Pizza, theaters.. The kids received a backpack upon checking in and used it to carry items with them for the trip. Room was a good size and the view of the Hudson was fine. Room service was pricey, so we opted to get pizza from across the street which was very convenient aftre a long day of exploring. Restaurants, coffee shop and movie theaters are in the hotel, very nice. Bellmen were very polite as were the front desk. I wish the rooms were a little cheaper, but having paid similar price in NYC, this hotel's location and amenities put it at the top of my list for future visits.

Excellent location for NYC vacation. Acceptable price for location and room. Room was fine except for mild odor in bathroom. Nice workout facility. Concierge either not present or minimally helpful. Overall though would still recommend.

My wife and I took our 14 and 15 year old to NYC for the first time. The first morning we were in the room we found dozens of small bugs crawling around the edge of the bath. Very troubling. I called down and ask for a new room. They said they had a King available. I explained their were four of us and we would require two doubles. After some searching the located a room and we agreed to meet the security guard at the room to exchange keys. We packed quickly and headed out so as to not keep the guard waiting. We ended up waiting 15 minutes for his arrival. The room itself had no extra chair, so we all had to sit on the bed to watch TV. The TV's sound faded in/out. Okay, we are not going to be in the room much. The next AM we headed out and returned late afternoon (6PM) and our room had not been cleaned. Okay, maybe in the switch they missed this room. I called down and was quized on if we did something to cause the skip. After passing the quiz I was told someone would be right up. I said we would be heading out to dinner in an hour so let me call before you send them. As dinner approached I called asking for them to send the cleaner in 20 minutes as we would be gone. Less the 10 minutes later she knocked on the door. I explained we needed 5 minutes and she said, "I have other rooms you know." I asked for 3 minutes and rushed the family out the door. (Still leaving tips - even now.) A few other comments: The Bell staff was great often doubling as the Concierge because in the City that Never Sleeps they are off @ 7PM. Overall, aside from the bug issue, small matters but they seemed to pile-up at the Westin. NYC was great, we love it and will go back but we will not stay here. FYI for the Westin, we were in rooms 4308 and 3633.

The Westin Times Square was a wonderful place to stay for our New York visit. Its proximity to Times Square (one block away) provided quick access to Times Square, the theater district, restaurants, and the local bus tours. We had a great stay!

Good hotel,clean neat and convenient. I would return. Only minor squawk is the construction outside on 43rd.

Excellent hotel with great location, just one block from Times Square. Deluxe Room had great views, very spacious. All staff extremely courteous and friendly. I wouldn't hesiate to recommend this hotel and can't wait to go back!!

this hotel was perfect for the price. very clean and nice.

The hotel was gorgeous, clean and convenient to Times Square. The view from the Double Deluxe was awesome. The elevator broke down one afternoon. We ended up walking up 23 flights of stairs. It was fixed within 2 hours. The refrigerator was stocked with very expensive drinks. They will bring you an empty one but we did not know that until the last day.

I have stayed at the Westin many times, in fact it's my preferred hotel of choice when I stay in New York for business. There have always been minor problems but nothing that I would write about. This time I have to make an exception. They wouldn't let my 7 month pregnant wife check-in under my reservation with my credit. If there has ever been a problem at another hotel they would call the cell number on the reservation the verify and that would be the end of it. She had to wait in the lobby until I could take a break from work and head over to check her into our room. Also I wanted to set a standing reservation 3 nights a week for the rest of the year. They had no one available at the hotel to accommodate this request. I am trying to give them $20,000 in business over the rest of the year and no one seemed to care. Also they made a big deal about how I booked my reservation and would not allow me to receive my Starwood rewards points which besides the showers are the only reason I book with them.

Although I do not think I will stay in Times Square again, I will stay at a Westin Hotel. The customer service was unbeatable. During my stay housekeeping accidentally knocked my professional hairdryer off of the counter and it broke. I thought for sure I would simply receive an apology and some type of "credit" for my trouble. So not the case with this hotel. Within 20 minutes the housekeeping manager brought a brand new hairdryer, EXACTLY like the one that was broken to my room. I was floored...I could not believe they actually replaced my hairdryer with the identical product that was broken, but they did it immediately...without my request. The bell service was great as well offering wonderful restaurants for dining and umbrellas for the rain. And don't get me started on the comfort of the heavenly bed and heavenly shower...fantastic! No matter where I am, I am a Westin customer for life!

Excellent location, good sized rooms in a nice hotel.

During our recent visit we found the hotel and room to be clean, roomy and stylish, however we discovered the concierge service to be inadequate and the concierge and tour/travel service providers were less than interested in providing assistance. The maid threw away some important papers that were on the night stand and inadequately stocked the room with basic supplies.

GREAT HOTEL WITH A SUPERB LOCATION

The one thing I do not like about the new bathroom styles are the stainless sinks. I think these should be left for kitchens, not bathrooms. It reminded me of a train bathroom. I'm sure it's easier to seem like they are clean as all one would have to do is wipe it with a towel. But is that clean? I just think a luxury hotel room should have marble or granite..... it's softer.
