Days Inn and Suites El Cajon - El Cajon

the staff and everyone else at this hotel was very cooperative and accommodating. as well as pleaseant. I would stay there again also I would recommend the days inn and suites to anyone looking for a great and inexpensive hotel stay.

Being an independent filmmaker I have very limited funds. I needed to find accommodations for three people for 4 days. I had found a lower price at what looked like a comparable hotel, but there were two problems. Most of their reviews were unfavorable and they charged extra for the third person. To my pleasant surprise when I checked out this hotel because their location was ideal, they were close to the person I had come to see and they didn’t charge extra for the third person. This made their price actually the same. The only inconvenience I experienced during my trip was the hotel was also booked up by a large group of high school football teams and their families and these were loud and everywhere, not the hotels fault. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and I’m sure I will stay their again. Thank you to the wonderful staff for a much need sabbatical from my current project.

We had a number of problems during our stay - 1. Unfriendly staff (both suck) 2. Room smells bad, insects in te bath room 3. Scary neighbourhood - people sit and drink till 2 am in the morning, outside their room. 4. Breakfast - spoiled bread with fungus 5. Unfinished furnitures with dangerous edges. Nice bed and good price.

The room was clean, roomy and comfortable. We were expecting way less and we were surprised at how great of a room we got. Great deal for the price and location.

There was a wonderful Denny's in the same lot and the hotel was 9 blocks from our daughter's house. The bath drain was too slow and we reported it. It is a very adequate place to stay...not fancy.

You get what you pay for.

The hotel was in good shape, the only struggle that I had was with some very noisy teens that were up running the corridors very late. The room was fine, but the neighborhood was a little run down. I would not bring my kids here, but for adults it was fine. The price ws really good so for the business I needed to accomplish, it was just right.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel to be close to relatives that live in El Cajon. Had to select a decent place since I traveling with the wife. First I did the researh just as you are doing. I was skeptical about the area after reading some of the other comments. But the area was very nice. The room was clean, very comfortable, large, with ref. and microwave oven. The Dennys next door is an excellent place to eat. And do fine the Old Mil Yogut shop that's in the area. This hotel is centrally located to many great spots. It's not a four or five star hotel, but its still a nice place stay during your visit.

For the amount of money I paid for the room it was okay. The carpet is very old and the bed was uncomfortable. The location was close enough to San Diego but in the future I will pay a litte extra for a nicer room. An overall alright experience.

We stayed here, just for an overnight on our way to San Diego. It was a good place to crash - the lobby and rooms were well taken care of, clean, and comfortable. For the price, it was not that bad at all. Front desk personnel were not the most attentive or quick, but for our stay this was not a big deal as we were in late and out early. Would recommend the quality of this hotel for the price as a steal!

We read the reviews and when we got there it was nice. it was modern and clean. Nice people too. The only thing we did not like was the pool is open from 9am but the jucuzzi was not heated untill 4pm. I would stay here again

The room and carpet were clean but showing their age. The staff were wonderful (including the maid) and more than made up for the aging room and carpet!

The hotel was really clean and not that far away from San Diego. The only problem that I had was on the second night, people a few rooms over were arguing. You can hear the door slamming. Walls are very thin so you can definitely hear everything your neighbors are doing. Besides that, outstanding for the money!

For the money, the room was great....especially the bed and pillows. The rest of the accommodations were average but comfortable. Continental breakfast was a bit primitive to what the competition offers. Front desk person was very helpful because our hotels.com reservation never came through

We were pleasantly surprised by this gem of a place. The only issue was finding it as Google got messed up between North and South streets and sent us in the wrong direction, but otherwise, this was a very nice place. The rooms were roomy, the customer service was excellent, the location was great, rooms were very clean. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others too.

everything you need in a hotel -breakfast micro refrig very clean convienent and the staff was very helpful and knowlegable the neighborhood was just ok but other than sleeping and showering there was so much else to do in san diego than to walkaround our hotel but it was close to a nice little town (handmade tortilla) great price too.Handicap was helpful to us too highly recommend

We stayed here for the Holiday Bowl as it was about halfway between a Indian casino & the Holiday Bowl. The casino allowed 18 year olds and had a low entry Texas hold-em tournament so was a fun diversion from our main purpose. The motel is right off I-8 but we didn't hear any freeway noise. We didn't spend a lot of time in the rooms but ours was clean and well maintained. The room rate included HBO. There was a safe in the room and a fridge. The mattresses were the typical hard variety and our king bed had 5 pillows on it. The wireless internet service worked fine and was pretty fast. The breakfast was typical, cereal, toast, muffins, juice. There is a Denny's in the same lot and a Wendys & Taco Bell within 2 blocks. The pool looked nice but as it was in December we didn't spend any time in it.

The hotel looks nice and the service was good. Our only complaint was the shower. I'm 5'5" and had to lean backwards to rinse my hair because the shower head was so low! Even after pointing it up, it was still too low. The water pressure was so low it took forever to take a shower! They had "fancy" shower heads so you can choose the setting... but not enough water came out and only two settings worked. I understand having low water pressure to conserve water, but get fixtures that are made for low water pressure. Oh and the drain was slow; nothing like bending backwards to rinse your hair and having to rinse your feet after you get out of your shower. So, if you're about 5 feet, dont mind trickling water and slow drains, go for it.

I was not expecting much considering this was the Days Inn and such a cheap price. I just wanted a clean room. This hotel exceeded my expectations. Though the area is not that great, it was very covienient (located right next to the 8 fwy) and was easy for us to access all of San Diego's attractions. The room was spacious, microwave, refrigerator, internet access, clean pool and jacuzzi. And I was very suprised by the continental breakfast, it was more like a real breakfast with a great assortment. If you're looking for a reasonable place to stay with good service and clean environment, stay here!

We liked the hotel but the room ahd a funny smell in it at first. the pool was nice (but dirty) but the indor jacuzzi was in excelent condition. our only complaint which was pretty big for us was that the door connecting to the next room the deadbolt didnt work so we have to put the table in front of the door and my wife had to leave the light on all night cause she was scared. Overall though the room was clean and we (the guys at least enjoyed it)

Carpet had big ugly stains throughout the room; the next morning we found half of a granola bar by one of the beds (who knows how long it had been there). The attendant at checkout was not friendly at all and unwilling to assist us. There was a group of men in the parking lot (very close to our room) drinking & talking really loud until about 2am.

Used as an anchor for sightseeing San Diego area. Front desk staff was great!! It's close to family restaurants(applebee's, outback, etc), Target, Wal Mart. Used trolly to go to harbor, ballgame Old Town etc. Station was close!!!!!

We took our son to SDSU and we were 10 mins. from him and were able to hit the beaches and attractions with ease. Good Hotel for a fair price. Pool and Indoor Spa were enjoyable.

The only think I can complain about, is the comfort of my bed. For me, it was a little too soft. But my wife and kids had no problem with that. But for the price I paid, I really think it was a very good deal. You can find everything you need, within a few blocks.

this was a very nice and clean Hotel and Denny's was next door and the pool and spa was very clean and taken care of..Would highly recommend this hotel I think its close to the SAn Diego Zoo, Seaworld and Legoland and didnt have to pay alot for the stay so we was able to spend the extra money on things we wanted to do

When we arrived we found that our handicapped room had been given away-even though we had pre paid. They tried to give us a standard room. When we would not accept that, they moved us to another hotel and although the room was classified as handicapped, it really wasn't. We ended up finding a different hotel that could accommodate my needs. The owner did refund our money promptly.

The hotel was dirty and had a lot of bugs in it.

Great location for my convinience, very clean and neat for the price for me it is excellent.

Great place to stay. The place is clean and the staff is very nice and professional. They even have laundry facilities for the guest.

This hotel went out of its way to make my family and I satisfied. My wife and I had our doubts at first, but the service proved to be exceptional. We would definately stay again.

Everything was wonderful: service, room, walking distance to Denny's. The only thing that bothered me was the door between our room and the room next to us, meaning we heard our loud neighbors in the room next to us. I know that its convenient for bigger families or groups so you can have access to both rooms but its not for lone travelers or couples because you hear everything under the door.

I just needed a hotle to stay for one night while I was visiting a nearby school. The room was one of the best I've ever stayed at for a hotel at that price range, correction, the best. Fantastic bed, sofa, and outstanding cleanliness. The only problem I had was that it hailed the day I was there so I had to order pizza instaed of going out, but I guess they can't control that. When they do I'm going to live there.

This place is only about 10 minutes from "Hotel Circle" and about 15 from downtown and Mission Bay. You're close enough to all the action in San Diego without having to stay in the thick of it, so to speak. The rooms are really clean here for a 2 star joint. No real heater in the room, so go only in the spring and summer months... or during a heatwave.

this hotel is just fine for a stopover. that is all. the city leaves alot to be desired (ie-transients, ancient cars, rundown homes ) but used it to stay overnight between san diego and az and it was satisfactory.

They didn't have a heater in the room and the shower only had hot water for about 3 minutes.

This hotel is really nice one. It has really good rooms. Break fast is also excellent. The location of the motel is also good.I personally recommend this hotel.

Staff was very friendly and courteous. Rooms were spacious and comfortable and plenty of places to eat around. Easy to get to around since right off the freeway, a little trek from the airport and major San Diego attractions but hotel will print directions out to any where you need to go.
