Hesperia Bilbao - Bilbao

Wir (Mutter und Tochter . 50 und 15 Jahre alt) waren begeistert von der guten Lage des Hotels , des wirklich modernen und ansprechenden Designs der Inneneinrichtung und der natürlichen und intelligenten Freundlichkeit des Personals. Die Atmosphäre im Frühstücksraum und das Angebot an ausgesucht guten Speisen hat uns begeistert , 11 Euro sind für die hervorragende Leistung mehr als angemessen. Zu alledem ist das Hesperia Bilbao sehr gut gelegen (je 10 Min. zum Guggenheim -Museum bzw. zur Altstadt. Wir können das Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen und würden jederzeit gerne wieder hinfahren.

Good modern hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable, even if a bit on the small size. All the staff we encountered were very pleasant and efficient. The hotel is well situated, between the Old Town and the Gugenheim Museum, about 10 minutes walk to each. The museum is not as close as the hotel description suggests, and I doubt if it is worth paying a premium for a 'museum view'.

Great location for the Guggenheim and only a short walk to the old town. It was expensive to park the car 18 euros a day. The hotel used a card entry system, not ideal as ours did not work and we could not get into the room, took several trips back to the reception to sort it out and then the next day it failed again.

We recently stayed in Bilbao, primarily to visit the Guggenheim. We were very pleased with the Hesperia Bilbao - it was very convenient for the Guggenheim and the price was good for the standard. What we could not have anticipated was how helpful the reception staff were - they helped with all our various enquiries, and even telephoned ahead to our next destination to book a hotel. Excellent service!

We booked a room that was to give us a guggenheim view, but there are trees, etc lining the street outside and the only view of the hotel was about the top 10 feet of one tower. the pictures showing an open balcony w/ a view of the guggenheim, river + are apparently for the 7th floor penthouse only. Also, doesn't seem to be a 4 star hotel to me if they provide towels w/ holes in them. The view as it is, is very nice and would be fine if advertised as it is. while the hotel did nothing to address the problem, hotels.com did. oh also watch out for parking, it is expensive, but they don't always have space for hotel guests.

I recently stayed at the Hesperia Hotel for one night, in May and i do think that the hotel is really a bit pricey for what you get. The rooms are not huge and breakfast was not included. Although the staff were friendly, they were understaffed at reception and had to answer the phone while we were checking in. The phone took priority even though we were standing there exhausted with our bags just waiting to get our room. The rooms are nice, clean, comfortable and modern but a little on the small side for what you are paying. Having had a good look around the hotel though - if you are concerned about having a good view you have to pay extra for a Guggenheim facing room. Only one side of the hotel faces towards the river and if you do not opt for this you will be looking at buildings surrounding the hotel. There was no late service in the bar but it was a bank holiday Monday. I do recommend the hotel and i would stay there again but it is just that little bit expensive.

This hotel is a great value for the location--pretty much right across the river from the Guggenheim. Our room was beautiful with an especially lovely, modern bath. The only thing that was inconvenient was that the air conditioning was not yet working (it was unseasonably warm during my stay) so it was warm in our room as well. I would also recommend skipping their breakfast as there are a number of inexpensive places near the hotel with high-quality offerings.

A wonderful hotel with wonderful staff. Good location too. The only thing missing was lotion (as most hotels provide this).

Good, ultramodern hotel very close to the Guggenheim Museum and other sights. Would stay there again.

Hesperia Bilbao ligt op loopafstand van het winkelcentrum en van de oude stad. Het Guggenheim museum is dichtbij en mogelijkheid tot openbaar vervoer is in de nabijheid. Vriendelijke ontvangst, parkeergarage onder het hotel. Standaard kamers zijn niet overdreven ruim, badkamer voldoet aan alle eisen. Ontbijtbuffet is goed verzorgd.

The hotel were perfect situeted along the river close to the old city . The reception staff were helpfull and efficent and with humor! I will recomend Hesperia Bilbao to everyone!

Very nice hotel. Junior suite excelent. Nice view to Guggenheim from some rooms. Make sure you book the right one !

Hesperia Bilbao, bijzonder gunstig gelegen t.o.v. de parel van Bilbao het Guggenheim Museum, El Casco Viejo - de oude wijk en de moderne winkelstraten, is werkelijk een design hotel. Vooral de ruime lounge met goede bar, de eetzaal en de de zeer strakke moderne receptie stralen het gewoon uit. De kamers zijn idem dito zo ingericht en het verblijf in dit hotel is een verademing. Het restaurant is bijzonder goede kwaliteit, de keuken kan inspelen op wensen en het bedienend personeel weet waar ze over praten. Al met al, een aanbeveler voor iedereen.

Het hotel is schitterend gelegen, langs de oever van de Nervion die Bilbao doormidden snijdt. Gelegen op 5 minuten wandelafstand van het Guggenheim en ideaal om 's avonds te flaneren aan de oever. 1 minpunt wil ik vermelden nl. dat de airconditioning niet voldoende werkte en de kamer dus te warm was. Voor het overige, zeer vriendelijk personeel, uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet dat echt de moeite waard is en een restaurant waar het eten overheerlijk is tegen budgetvriendelijke prijzen.

Stort sett hyggelig service, ofte kø i resepsjonen, fikk ikke internett til å fungere og man fikk ikke hjelp med dette.

Nous avons séjourné en couple (50 ans)dans cet hotel. Autant la décoration que le confort de la chambre nous a séduit , l'accueil, la situation(idéale), les petits déjeuners et l'offre repas du soir à un bon tarif TOUT NOUS A CONVENU !!!!!
