Falkensteiner Hotel am Schottenfeld - Wien

zentral gelegen, ohne Probleme mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln zu erreichen... freundliches und jederzeit hilfsbereites Personal... großer Pluspunkt beim Zimmer: Parkettboden und großes Bad mit Tageslichtbezug. Ich würde jederzeit wieder in dieses Hotel kommen!

zentrale Lage, praktische Zimmer, gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis

Die Rezeption ist sehr dunkel, aber netter Empfang. Ich bat um ein leises Zimmer, und bekam ein Zimmer nach hinten raus, was ok was. Leider lag es direkt neben dem Treppenhaus, so das es doch rechtlaut war. Das Frühstück war ok, bis auf die Tatsache, dass die Wurst schon leicht klebrig war. Das Zimmer war leider sehr klein.

Modernes Hotel, schön eingerichtete Zimmer und modernes Bad. Alles sehr sauber. Sehr vielfältiges und super schön präsentiertes Frühstücksbuffet!!! Lässt kaum Wünsche offen! Freundliches Personal. Die Umgebung des Hotels ist zwar nichts Besonderes, mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln ist man aber schnell und gut im Stadtzentrum! Busstation unweit vom Hotel.

Das Hotel war insgesamt sehr gut, Zimmer und Service tadellos; besonders hervorzuheben ist das Frühstüksbuffet Das Hotel liegt einigermaßen zentral, die Altstadt ist bequem zu Fuss zu erreichen, Bus, Strassenbahn und U-Bahn sind sehr nah

Angenehme Atmosphäre, gute Lage - nicht weit von der Innenstadt - in typisch Wiener Wohngegend. Das Personal ist freundlich, die Zimmer modern und ansprechend eingerichtet, das Frühstücksbuffet reichhaltig und gut.

Das Hotel "Falkensteiner Hotel am Schottenfeld" liegt sehr Zentral. Hotel ist sauber und modern. Service ist 1A! Einzigste Problem für uns war das die Standartzimmer nur ein "Regal" haben und kein Schrank, was bei zwei Koffer zu wenig ist.

Ein schönes gepflegtes Haus mit nettem Personal in ruhiger Lage - trotzdem ein guter Ausgangspunkt um Wien zu erkunden.

Freundlicher Service, sauber und gepflegt, schönes modernes Ambiente, bequeme Matratzen, sehr gute Verkehrsanbindung, ruhige Lage. Jederzeit gerne wieder

Das Personal im Hotel ist ausgesprochen freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Sauna und das Dampfbad konnten problemlos noch nach den offiziellen Schließzeiten benutzt werden. Das einzige Manko war die hohe Staubschicht unter dem Bett. Diese entdeckten wir allerdings erst am Tag der Abreise und wiesen das Personal sofort daraufhin. Die Reaktion fiel auch hierauf sehr freundlich aus.

Das Hotel hat uns sehr gut gefallen: schönes, modernes, sauberes Zimmer und Bad, zum Hof hin sehr ruhig. Sehr gutes Frühstücksbüffet. Ist ein bißchen vom Zentrum entfernt, uns hat's nicht gestört.

Sehr modernes und freundliches Hotel, saubere und ansprechende Zimmer, schönes Badezimmer, erstklassiges Frühstück, sehr freundlicher Service. Eventuelles Manko für längere Aufenthalte: sehr kleiner Kleiderschrank.

We were travelling on business and were happy to find this hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff were really helpful. Breakfast was also good. It is in a fairly good location and is only 10 mins in a taxi to the centre of Vienna. There are also a couple of nice restaurants and bars very close by.

Staff very helpful. Check in and out very efficient. Bed very comfortable. Interesting bathroom with blinds into the bedroom so could waltch tv from the loo! Intended to let light in. Shower over bath with curtain leaked. Taxi from south railway station cost 15 euro, not far but one way system very slow in traffic.

Easy to come to the city centre by bus in 10 min., very friendly and helpfull stuff, very beautiful new suite

The staff made me feel at home. Julie knew my name after my first evening there - and everyone was very personable, helpful, and professional. The room was quiet, stylish, and comfortable. My window faced a courtyard, but the neighborhood is quiet, so I think any room would be good,

Vienna isn't the greatest place for Americans-- I don't think US is too liked there. This hotels is kind of a walk from major sites though an undergound is nearby which gets you anywhere you want to go. The hotel staff are 50/50 on nice and snobby. The hotel rooms are tiny and there is only wireless in the lobby. The breakfast is great but there is no restuarant.

Really impressed with this hotel. We didn't eat or drink there so we can't comment on that but it was really lovely, and the room was very impressive particularly the bathroom. Good location for the metro into the centre too, would definitely go back. The one thing I would suggest is, if you're trying to find the hotel on foot, buy a map first because we had a bit of difficulty using the one provided!

The staff, cleanliness, and comfort of this hotel (especially the beds!) was outstanding. A few things that would improve it and make it more qualified to be a 4 star hotel, would be if they included shampoo and lotion in the rooms, (expect one large dispenser of body wash/shampoo in the shower and one dispenser of soap at the sink), and had softer, fluffier towels (theirs were akin to sandpaper). There was no coffee pot in the room either, but there was a fridge and minibar. Since I really need that cup of morning coffee to wake me up, I wished I had some small hot pot to at least boil some water for instant coffee. They do have complimentary coffee in the lobby in the mornings, and I wish I had known that earlier in the stay. The breakfast bar is magnificent, but it was very expensive, 15 euros when I was there. Lighting is very low in the room, so bring a book light if you like to read in bed. Rooms have a pleasant, modern atmosphere. The beds, as I mentioned, are superb. My biggest concern about the hotel is the neighborhood. There is, surprisingly, a lot of graffitti. I was initially concerned about safety, but I saw moms & children going up and down the streets at dusk, so I believe it is essentially safe. Had a little trouble with the locals at the nearby grocery store, who know how to speak English, but obviously prefer not to. The folks on the streets, though, were nice about answering questions about public transportation, and I learned how to take the bus to the nearest underground (subway) station fairly easily. It should be noted, however, that the hotel is situated between 2 one-way streets, so the route to the underground station will be different than the route back to the hotel. The public transportation system is extremely safe and easy to use. Just study up on the German names of your stops before you go. This softens the fact that this hotel is about 8-10 blocks away from the city centre (5-10 mins by bus). Busses come every 5 minu

This was a fab hotel. The staff were generally extremely helpful and the whole place had a really nice feeling about it. The rooms were well equipped, breakfast was great and we could easily walk to the historical sites (about a 20/25 minute walk).

The hotel says that it is less than 1km from the city center. I found it was about 2km away from the outside ring of the city center, meaning it was at least a 30 minute walk to where you really want to go in Vienna for the major site seeing. The front desk staff left something to be desired as they weren't very knowledgeable nor friendly.

We really loved the Falkensteiner. The interior was modern but cozy. The breakfast was absolutely amazing and we enjoyed hanging out at the funky little bar. We really loved the staff, especially Paolo, who went out of his way to make our stay great. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Its definitely a good place to stay for a few nights in Vienna. Close to the center, with some good restaurants in the neighborhood. Staff is allright. The room was clean and quiet.

Bon hôtel proche du centre. Quartier très sympa pour sortir le soir. Très bien en tout point à l'exception du petit déjeuner et du transfert aéroport qui sont trop chers.

Hotellet var Meget stilfullt, med hyggelig betjening og fine rom. Prisnivået i bar og for frokost var noe i høyeste laget.

hotel mede gekozen obv recensies op Internet, en geen spijt. Uitstekende prijs-kwaliteit verhouding, mooi en netjes sanitair, leuk en modern ingericht, en uitgebreid ontbijt. Zeker een aanrader voor een volgende keer.

leuk, net hotel, goed service. klein fitnessruimte met sauna en stoombad. Echter wel beetje buiten het centrum, maar wel in andere hippe buurt, mariahilfestrasse, met veel winkels, en zeker naar het congrescentrum was het wel lang reizen (vijfenveertig minuten)

L'hotel è carino e pulito e le immagini che ho trovato in internet rispecchiavano la realtà. Peccato che in camera mancava un armadio e la colazione non era compresa nel prezzo (supplemento 15 euro a persona). È situato in una zona relativamente vicina al centro (20 minuti con la U-Bahn). Se dovessi tornare a Vienna lo sceglierei nuovamente.
