Das Hotel bot alles, was ich erwartet hatte. Es ist in einer ruhigen Seitenstrasse gelegen und dennoch nur wenige hundert Meter von der U-Bahn-Station Gloucester Rd entfernt. Das Hotel selbst ist gepflegt und sauber. Die Zimmer sind zwar nicht sonderlich gross. Aber sie haben alles, was man zum übernachten braucht.

Hotel description was very accurate. Saved almost $50 a night booking with hotels.com Room was a 6 floor walk up. Tiny but very comfortable with kitchen, fridge and bathroom. Bed was very comfortable. Wireless internet was $10 pounds for 6 nights which was not bad. Tube station was a 5 minute walk along with grocery shopping and restaurant. Very quiet neighborhood and quiet hotel. Would recommend for the budget traveler. Also short tube rides to all attractions and an easy cheap ride to Heathrow.

Although i was a little hard to find the hotel, it is in a really nice area of London and it is nice and quiet. The room was a good size. The bathroom was quite small but this wouldnt put me off. The staff were very friendly and helped when needed. The room was very clean (if it wasn't I didn't notice.) A really nice stay and would go again if I go back to London.

This is a great location at a reasonable price but the standard of rooms varies enormously. For the first three nights we had an adequate room (1A) but on return from Europe we were allocated a different room (17) for one night. This latter room was well below standard with virtually no hanging space, a freezing cold bathroom with no heater and no drawers. Admittedly the manager on duty was extremely helpful and offered another room (a suite) in compensation but as we had already unpacked we declined with thanks. He did, thereafter, give us a substantial discount on the rate. Having looked at one of their suites we would suggest that paying the extra money would be well worth it for additional space, storage and cooking facilities. All in all, we would return but would be careful on our choice of room. The beds are comfortable, it's quiet and the staff (with one exception) are extremely helpful. It's close to all amenities and a four minute walk to Gloucester Road tube. For the price, it's a good location and reasonably well provided but can they please place a mirror on the wall in each bedroom. Extremely difficult to dry one's hair when there's no mirror (room 17) at least in 1A there was a full length mirror and an extension cord for the hairdryer.

The hotel was clean and the people friendly and helpful. The baths were really small (similar to a mobile home or camper). The bath did not smell very clean though nothing was visibly dirty. Our room was right off the street and we dealt with noisy visitors standing and talking loudly at 2am. We were glad we were on the ground floor and did not have to haul suitcases up the stairs. The beds were 3 twins. They were comfortable and clean. There was a cabinet kitchen with 2 burners, a sink and small fridge. Access to eating and entertainment was very good. Over all the stay was good.

After reading other customer reviews, we decided on this hotel for our stay in London. It was in a great location and the staff was very friendly. Yes, the bathrooms are extremely small (about like what you would expect in an RV), but everything worked and the water was hot. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Our Christmas in London 2008 - The bathroom was literally the size of an airplane toilet with a shower added. SO small you could shower while on the toilet with only a thin curtain to separate. Water flooded the entire floor with each shower. The "fully equipped" kitchenette was a closet door that hid a mini-bar fridge, 2 burners, microwave an NO oven. Coffee maker was broken, and coffee is not provided. The firealarm was directly ABOVE the burners and set off the minute I turned on the stove. With 15 ft ceilings you couldn't reach to stop it, so we had to open the window and aim a fan directly at the stove to avoid hearing it. The office refused to help us disarm it while we cooked. The cleaning staff woke us early EVERY morning gossiping loudly outside our door. "Satellite TV" is only 5 channels and TV is quite literally a 6 inch screen. Hidden deposit on the room key as well. It was a huge disappointment and nearly all their site promised. Never again, trust me.

The hotel is in a good location. The room was very clean and had all the amenities that I expected. The service was good, providing information and directions without being prompted. All in all a comforatble stay.

Great room for the money!

Way nicer than I anticipated. Two blocks from the tube station and walking distance to Albert and Victoria Park. Cute coffeeshop on the way. Feels very residential with all the brownstones in a row. The room is actually a suite, with a small kitchen. A marble bathroom! Really good water pressure in the shower. Quiet and quaint - the management doesn't put up with noisy guests! Hallelujah!

Convenient, great location, helpful staff, small but not insignificant. The room was tiny but clean. Three women with good attitudes shared the triple room. It was great being able to make breakfast in the room in the morning as we took turns in the coat closet sized bathroom. If you want a ritzy experience, this place isn't for you but if you want convenience, great location and price, go for it!

the only negative i have is that we had the penthouse- which was five long flights after long days. the room was clean, the staff was nice, the location is spectacular. absolutely ideal for the price.

The rooms are very small, but that's what you would expect. Kitchen is tiny, so don't plan to cook dinners, but for breakfast it's fine. Very good value for money, in a perfect, quiet location near tube and busses. Plenty of nice restaurants and cafes around.

We only had one day to explore Kensington, but couldn't have done this one better! The room was large (for a UK hotel) 12'x14'. Had a seperate kitchenette and a marble bathroom. Kitchen had a microwave, fridge, stove and dishes/flatware/cookware, gingersnaps and coffee/tea and the fastest water boiling pot in the world. 30 seconds to hot coffee! The bathroom had great water pressure, a 24"x24" shower but was missing the small hand-sized towels and shampoo that most Americans are used to. However it did have soap, a hair dryer and 4 large and medium towels. Even a heated towel rack!! We were in room 1A which is below ground level, so no view, but still bright if we pulled the curtains open. It was the cheapest 3 star we could find on the net and we're not sorry! It's two blocks from the yellow and green tube lines at Kensington station. Beautiful neighborhood that was pleasant to walk through. You will need to leave a $100.00 deposit for the key, but you get it back - no worries. We'll do this one again next year.

Good location. Reasonable clean. Bathroom way too small. Has small kitchen which is a waste of space - should have used it to make bigger bathroom and just put in an electric kettle for tea. Need to vacuum floor more often. I know London is expensive but that doesn't mean we should pay high prices for anything.

The Astons Apartments met all my expectations. The hotel, located in South Kensington, was just a couple of blocks away from the tube station, in walking distance to Hyde Park, Kensington Palace and three lovely museums. Our room itself was large and clean and the staff very friendly and helpful, at all times. I would recommend Astons Apartments to everyone who wants a great location and great accomodations for the money. I would definitely stay there again.

Hotel room was small for 3 persons and the bathroom left much to be desired as far as roominess and storage was concerned. Needed some hooks for towel hanging. Good value and great location. Reception very helpful and cordial. Would recommend.

The location of the hotel is superb and a quick walk to Glouchester Station as well as the Big Bus Tour blue line. We shared a triple and found the room to be a great value for the money and we loved having a door to the garden out back where we could sit and enjoy the mornings before heading out sighseeing. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance. American's should understand that the rooms and bathrooms are smaller than what we may be used to in the states, but for the great rate and excellent location this is a tremendous deal. Will definitely be staying here again.

Two older women arriving after a long journey to a room booked and pre-paid MONTHS in advance. We were given a room 6 FLIGHTS UP. Receptionist could not have cared any less. Obviously it is not first come first served at this location. You can multitask in the bathroom by going potty, showering and brushing your teeth all at once but you have to be careful not to scrape your knuckles or bruise your elbows in the process! There was also a guest who was playing ethnic music loudly. However, the room is located in a quiet neighborhood and it is reasonable clean.

My wife and I had a fantastic stay at the Astons Apartments. It was a compact accomodation with a great view of shared garden, a mini-fridge, microwave, sink and two burner stove. A full set of cookware, silverware and cutlery helped us fix great breakfasts and snacks. The maid service was wonderful and we intend on staying there again. Our only comment, not a complaint, is that there isn't an elevator. This may put off older guests or those who are completely out of shape. We found it refreshing and kept a set of reward beers/beverages in the fridge. The location next to the Underground was incredible and there is a great little coffee shop (not the two major chains) on the left as you walk toward the station from the Apartments. We do not recommend the resturant at the end of the street leading to the Apartments but the rest are awesome, including the fish and chips joint.

The room was OK, very small. The price paid by the kitchen provided in the room. Saved a lot of money for food in restaurants. The only thing that was missing was providing tea and coffee every day. Just at the beginning as a welcoming. The cleaning service was not so good either, it was no clean after we came back. The internet was a little slow, but it worked for me. I recommend the hotel, if you plan to stay for a longer period. The location is next to a underground stop and it was very convenient. Very quiet and nice looking area.

Worked well for us - we had two studios for our family (couple and adult children) - great location, safe, clean, nice kitchen.
