Alma Grand Place Hotel - Brüssel

Overpriced only because of its location! I would recommend finding a better quality hotel for the same money further out from the city centre and using the excellent public transport provided by the city of Brussels to get around.

I was very surprised with how modern this hotel is considering its location in the heart of the historic section of Brussels. Our room was very spacious, and the bathroom was modern, with white glass tiles and teak flooring in the shower. Everything was spotlessly clean. The hotel is located about a block from the Grand Place. The staff was very friendly, but as this is a large hotel, they would often be kept busy attending to larger groups.

Nice room, small, but great location. Staff was not the most informative.

Great overall location, however, hotel in a small side street might be a little tricky to find. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room quite clean and comfortable - provides just the basic necessities. Breakfast quite pricey - same or better for half the price can be obtained just a few steps away from the hotel.

We spent one night in this hotel as we were in transit between Brussels and the UK. The location is wonderful, just a block or two off the Grand Pace. It is on a pedestrian only section on the street, so there was little street traffic. The carpets were a little 70s, but the room was very big by European standards with a large bathroom and all standard amenities. I would stay again for sure!

Hotel was pretty 'bare bones' but was great value for the money in the city center and so close to the Grand' Place. Room was large, cable TV and air conditioning -- All nice to have and not necessarily "the norm" in Europe.

if arriving @ brussels central stn (eurostar tix include transfer to "any brussels stn"), walk away from the big staircase leading up to ticketing and look for exit 1 "grand place" where you'll come out of a little tunnel/pathway to the street. the hotel is a close, zig-zaggy (1 block left, 1 block right/down, 1 block left/up) walk away. my dad & i arrived @ 11:30am and were checked in straightaway, even tho it says check-in is usually 3pm! nice one. they also changed our room from one of the upper floors to a lower one. the room was sparse but we didn't need much more than the beds and a room safe. the beds were a bit too soft for my liking but basically comfy. our room was numbered "-01" at the back of the hotel facing other backs of houses. the bathroom had a shower basin flush with the floor instead of a shower-over-tub combo and was separated with a curtain. good water pressure but let the water run a bit on the hot side til it actually warms up. breakfast was pretty basic - cereal, yoghurt, juice, pastries. they had hotdogs, beans and ravioli in a covered tray and you could make your own hard-boiled eggs. not quite worth 8 euros. overall great for location & cleanliness but eat breakfast elsewhere.

This hotel couldn't be anymore central, with all the major sights literally on your door step, it's ideal. The room can be a little noisy if your on the front of the building maybe, but with window closed and air conditioning on it's not an issue. The staff were friendly and the room was in good condition & clean. Brussels itself is a great city and you'll want to come back !!!

Sweet little hotel perfectly situated in the centre of Brussels. Very clean and very helpful staff Only slight drawback for me is no mini bar in the room, but next door to the hotel you have a Newsagent so actually works out well

this hotel was 2 blocks away from the Grand Place. The rooms were much bigger then the usual European romms we have experienced in the past. The staff was very friendly and helpfull, rooms and halls were always very clean, and they served a nice variety for breakfast. The Central train station is a 5 min. walk away, and there are scores or restaurants everywhere. I would highly recommend this hotel. it is a great value for the money.

Goede kamer, wel onhandig dat de badkamer aan de voet van een wat wankele en smalle wenteltrap lag. Wireless internet (€ 15 p.d.) werkte niet naar behoren. Ontbijtbuffet wat beperkt qua keuze.
