Best Western Glasgow City Hotel - Glasgow

Wir hatten ein Deluxe Zimmer, und waren damit sehr zufrieden. Das Bad hatte eine Badewanne und war wirklich sehr geraeumig. Das Zimmer war mit einem Flachbildfernseher ausgestatet und als DVD Player diente dort eine PS2. | Leider muss beim verlassen des Zimmers die Karte, welche als Schluessel dient, aus einer Halterung herausgezogen werden, womit der Strom im ganzen Zimmer, ausser Minibar, weg ist. Somit auch vom Radiowecker. | Bei uns hiess es, bei Ankunft waere etwas in der Minibar das kostenlos waere, aber die Minibar war total leer. | Im Zimmer gab es einen kostenlosen Wifi und LAN Internetzugang, der auch immer funktionierte. | Zu bemaengeln gibt es eigentlich nur das Fruehstueck. Mit eingeschweissten Suessstueckchen oder Croissant und Kaffe in Pappbechern, kann ich einfach nichts anfangen. Und die Fenster sind dankt Altbau natuerlich nicht sonderlich dicht, und Nachts kann es da schon mal etwas ziehen. | Jedoch war der Gesamteindruck Positiv

Wery good service from the staff

I chose the hotel for it's value for money and also the convenient location. Our room was very comfortable, clean and well presented. The one negative was the fact that the heating remained on a high setting for much of our stay- a bit too warm for comfort. Staff were pleasant and the complimentary breakfast was a bonus. Would stay again!

I found the hotel location to be perfect. Just a short block away from Charing Cross station and 2 blocks away from Sauchiehall St. The continental breakfast was adequate & usually all I needed to get the day started. The tea & biscuits in the room were most welcome as well. The room itself was really dark (I had a basement level room) and I kept the blinds closed most of the time since there were no curtains for privacy. The room was also roasting hot, even without the heat on and no climate controls. I had to take care in the shower to not get water all over the floor because the barrier didn't seem to be sufficient enough to keep the water inside the tub. No matter, the room was large enough for more than one person and probably bigger than some flats in the area. I cannot stress enough the location and ease to get to the train! Charing Cross is a quick stop to the underground trains and a short walk up Sauchiehall could easily get you to the Buchanan bus station.

The room was lovely, the staff were very friendly, the location was excellent. The only problem was the room was like a sauna and because we were staying on the ground floor we couldn't open a window. We were given a fan on the 2nd night which made it more comfortable so request one straight away when you get there

The room was only small enough to fit a child into not two grown adults. The hot buffet breakfast was not a hot buffet breakfast but pastries in packets and a tea machine that you had to use yourself. Not a very good stay at all!

upon arrival, we were told they had no hotel rooms and were putting us into a "city apartment" down the road.we thought it would be better but found that the apartment had no phone or connection to reception, no hot water in the 2nd batroom and bath, and the other shower only had a trickle of hot water (we couldn't complain because no phone!) and at 9:00 in the morning a man in a suit and a painter walked into our room! when leaving, i told best western that a normal hotel room would of suited us better, and even pointed out that all the "convenient" phone numbers and resturaunts left to us in the room were useless because of no phone AND they were outdated as several of the resturaunts were closed.with telling them of the complaints, they responded that next time i should call directly to tell them i prefer a hotel room ( i thought that was what my reservation was!).

Upon arrival to the hotel, the staff informed us of a gas leak preventing us from staying in the hotel. They had, however, upgraded us to their "apartment" accomodations, which turned out to be a two bedroom/two bathroom apartment complete with plasma screen tvs, a kitchen, and a washer/dryer. It even came with a Playstation. Needless to say, we had a great time. The hotel staff was very attentive and willing to help us with whatever we needed. Even though we will probably never get to stay in those apartments again, the service we received makes me want to come back again.

Room faced the street, VERY noisy. Complement bar a nice touch. Took a minute to realize the key card had to be inserted in the small box above the light switch to turn the room power on. Bath tub/shower could use a handle to assist getting in and out of tub. The staff were very friendly and helpful with information about the city and getting around.

Udmærket hotel med nyere badeværelse og indretning, vinduerne er dog gamle og utætte. Hotellet ligger praktisk, tæt på Mitchell Library men i en gade med en del tung trafik om natten. Venlig reception og the/kaffe på værelset og i receptionen. Internettet virker KUN i receptionen, ikke på værelset.

Hotel agréable, situé à 15 mn à pied environ du centre Personnel sympathique et aimable Pas de "vrai" petit déjeuner anglais mais on peut l'hotel propose un café et un déj dans une petite salle près de la réception Chambre sympa mais salle de bains un peu petite et chambre peu insonorisée - problème de "bruits" du radiateur assez dérangeant Bon rapport qualité / prix

Hotellet gir god valuta for pengene. Hyggelig stab, god standard på rommene, og velkomstdrink og enkel frokost inkludert. Bare 15 minutters gange fra Glasgow Central og Queen's street. Anbefales!

The hotel is small with a family-feel to it. It's within walking distance from the city centre and very close to Bath Street and Sauchehall Street with their abundance of bars and restaurants. The rooms are of good standard and the staff friendly. The only downside to it is the size of the bathroom which is too small and the rooms tend to get very hot when the weather's nice.

Mysigt cityhotell nära utelivet med restauranger o pubar. Lagom långt till city, nära till centralstation. Ett hotell som vi alla i sällskapet kan tänka oss bo på nästa gång vi åker till Glasgow. Känns familjärt och lugnt, fräscht.

Veldig bra beliggenhet for shopping osv i Glasgow. Personalet var vennlige og service-innstilte, og det var alltid massevis av varmtvann på badet.

Dette var et stille og rolig hotell sentralt beliggende i Glasgow. Kort vei til god handel, restauranter, pubs osv. Vi anbefaler dere å få dobbeltrom i første etasje (ground floor) da disse er større.

Confortable mais étroit. Petit déjeuner excécrable!!!
