Il Chiostro del Carmine - Siena

A well situated old hotel, with modern facilities. Not that easy to find by car, mainly because of the one way system and pedestrianised streets. Sat Nav useful and staff were very helpful.

No complaints at all. It is well located and has loads of character. They however need to fit a sky box and have a little more variety in the breakfast.

Wonderfull old hotell, with good service. The rooms where i good conditions and held in the old fashion. Located near to the center of Siena.

The location is excellent - 10 minutes walk to the Campo or the Duomo. The hotel is on a quiet street and well away from any noise.

Waht a gem this hotel turned out to be. A few minutes from the center of Siena yet far enough away from the crowds. It was all it said it would be. We aere given a deluxe room and it was. Views from the window were spectacular and the room was very spacious and so quiet. All we could hear were the swallows and pigeons chirping in the eaves. Breakfast was plentiful, 1 slight problem the hotel seems to cater for the Italians diet ie an awful lot of sweet cakes etc, even the croissants were chocolate. Think it would have been nicer to hjave some plain type food also. Other than that no complaints whasoever. I think, bear in mind if you do book this hotel, that there is no lift and as such our room was 50 steps up from reception. " Did help to keep the weight down". If I were to go back I would stay there again.

The hotel is a converted convent located inside Siena's walls, close to Porta S. Marco. The hotel is very charming but also very basic. Besides the rooms and the reception office, there is a lounge and the breakfast room. We stayed in room n.10 which had a small terrace overlooking the chiostro. The room was a bit on the small size but clean and tidy. The fridge was very noisy! (eventually we unplagged it) Staff were very friendly and efficient. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel.

An elegant, yet simplistic stay in an old monastery. Huge common areas, average sized simplistic rooms. It was nice to stay in the city. Very impressive breakfast, and white glove service.

A real gem - and very near to the centre. The converted convent is a real find. You feel like you are staying in one of the historic sites. Excellent breakfast served in lovely room. Very helpful staff made this visit perfect. Would stay again

A very elegant hoel although it describes itself as an "Urban resort". Spacious rooms, friendly staff and an interesting ambience of an old monastery. Th elocality is of narrow, widing streets with some pleasant restaurants and shops.

Convenient location, about 10 minute walk from Piazza del Campo and very friendly staff. Room was very clean and well-maintained. European hotel rooms can be sometimes dowdy and small but my room here was comfortably sized and had some personality. The only things that bothered me was there is no elevator, which is a drag when you have to lug your bags up and down during check-in and check-out. And the internet was out the entire time I was there. Because I was there for work, that presented inconveniences. But overall, I would go back again.

The rooms were attractive and pleasant but service was lacking. We arrived very late and they had left what appeared to be someone's grandfather to answer the door. He insisted on helping to lug the luggage up 3 flights, though we worried for his health, and spoke no English. Then the only key he had would not open the door to our room and by the time he rousted someone else out of bed we had been standing in the hall for 45 minutes. We chucked this up to arriving late and being there at their busiest season - the Palio. After that, breakfast was good and the room pleasant and we never saw the elderly gent again. I would recommend this hotel as it is a good value for the price. Just don't arrive late!

Il Chiostro del Carmine is a lovely hotel at a reasonable price. The location is perfect, just a short distance from the main square but far enough to be quiet. Charming room with ac and a very comfortable bed and our own little roof terrass. Great breakfast buffet. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely go back to this hotel!

I found the Chiostro by chance, and loved it. The location is excellent for all parts of the historic center, there is a lovely courtyard and this is a unique and really quite comofrtable place to stay. Free wireless, small fridges in the rooms, no restaurant (though excellent breakfast) but a good little trattoria round the corner. I'll stay there again with great pleasure.

My girlfriend and I enjoyed this hotel. Right in the middel of a charming town. We had a beautiful view of the countryside. Nice breakfast too.

Personale molto gentile e disponibile. Camera estremamente bella e pulita. Bagno stupendo. Colazione MERAVIGLIOSA!!!

We had ha plessant sta at this hotel. It is located about 10 min. walk from Piazza del Campo in quiet surroundings. Nice rooms.

Hotellet har ingen utvecklad serviceorienterad personal men helt ok i övrigt. Via della Diana är en lugnare del av Siena där man inte riskerar bli väckt av trafik tidigt på morgonen som man blir lätt på de hotel runt Piazza del Campo

L'atmosfera corrisponde perfettamente a quella descritta dal sito dell'hotel. Le sono camere molto spaziose. La colazione è buona il personale gentile.

Mooi historisch gebouw, binnen de stadsmuren en heel dichtbij het centrum. Je kunt er goed 'logeren' en ontbijten. Met een goed ingerichte hotelkamer voorzien van het noodzakelijke. De 'running' vindt plaats door studenten van de plaatselijke universiteit. De sfeer van de kloostergedachte wordt nog steeds 'geheiligd'. Er is nl. in het hotel verder helemaal niks. Je moet het dus allemaal zoeken in Siena zelf. Gelukkig maar, want daar is genoeg te zien en te beleven.

Stort fint rum med stor terass till rummet. Mycket charmigt med en medeltida känsla. Bra service. trevlig personal. Enkel frukost i stilenlig matsal. Internet ingick gratis.

a little bit less than i was expecting, anyway very good location, and very quite, but there were few guests when i was there.
