Excellent hotel if you're looking to save money and don't mind a bit of walking. We stayed in a bedroom facing the street (very close to the metro rails)on the 3rd floor and I have to say the sound was not much of a problem. However, you could hear everything happening just outside the door :( Small room but very very clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast and the Metro station was just a few steps away making it easy to reach all the tourist places. The place was a bit dark and lonely at night but if you know how to be careful and watch over you shoulder, you're fine then.

Was within 2 blocks of the subway and the walk was well-lit and felt safe. That was very convenient. The room was tiny, but we (4 of us)basically just slept there so that was fine. The beds were comfy. Had to ask the front desk how to turn on the shower - I've never seen one where you pull down on the faucet nozzle to turn on the shower. The breakfast area was very crowded, but the bagels, milk, and coffee were fresh. Hotel staff was very nice. Very little parking, but I got a spot upon arrival and did not move my car for 3 whole days, so it worked for me.

Hotel is at good location. I took a google map which asked me to get down at '45 Rd- Court House sq'. But '33rd st-Rawson st' station is the nearest one. I appreciate complimentary break fast and cleanliness. Room is comparatively smaller than other days in I stayed. But in NY, I should not expect bigger room at the price offered.

There are literally 12 parking spots at this hotel. Which are first come first serve basis and covered by video if you are lucky enough to get one. Not worth the money and the risk you have to take to park your car around the street in a vacant area by a train yard which is metered during the day.

front desk guy made me wait for his online video to finish before checking me in and he had horrible B.O. room was disgusting, smudges and fingerprints everywhere, rotten limes in the fridge, there was bacon and lettuce in the grills of the A/C, yuk! shade was broken and wouldnt go all the way down. there were tears in the wallpaper , the bathroom mirror showed writing from the previous occupants after it fogged up, the toilet ran on its own every 20 minutes, the tv picture was jumpy and only 12 channels worked, the 7 train is literally 20 feet away from your window and goes by every five minutes its terrible. the wireless internet didnt work and they refused to give me a ethernet cable saying they didnt 'have' to because the internet is a "courtesy" and told me i could walk about 2 miles to radio shack or use the lobby computer. i could go on and on but you should get the point. for ten more dollars there are other hotels on this site that are only a few blocks away that are so much better. i come to new york about 20 times a year and have stayed at almost every hotel in queens, this was by far my worst stay ever!

This hotel offers decent conditions....Continental breakfast, TV in the room, free wireles, etc. But it has a huge disadvantage...It is located (literally) 10 steps away from the train line, and it's impossible to rest during night. Trains run at 20 minutes intrval, so you wake up about three times per hour because of the train. Even if the train tracks were futher away, you would still ge a lot of noise from the neighbors or the elevator, because the walls are very thin. You get a lot of noise from the other rooms. If a neighbor slams the door, it will sound like your own room's door was slammed...

1. front desk attendent made me wait till he was done watching something online so he could check me in. 2. the room was gross. everything had fingerprints and smudges like it has not been wiped down in months. the remote had something greasy on it and could not be used. 3. the bathroom smelled like bug spray and the shower dripped loud all night. 4. the shade was broken and was stuck 2 feet from the bottom, this wouldnt have been a big deal but > 5. the 7 train was literally 15 feet away from my window. 6. the wireless internet did not work at all and they refused to let me borrow a ethernet cable for the night saying its not there problem. 7. there was a bag with rotten limes in the freezer. 8. the area its in is terrible, theres a 24 hour 7-11 downstairs that you cant go to because you will get robbed for sure. 9. VERY skecthy people wandering the hallways, in the elevator and outside the hotel. 10. check out is 12pm but maid started pounding on my door at 11:10am. i could go up to 20 with this list but you should get the point by now. out of the 20 plus hotels i have stayed at in queens, this is by far the worst. spend the same money or less somewhere else for something better.

Compared to other hotels the price was fair. The room was small but very clean. Hotel is very close to public transportation that will take you anywhere in NYC and airports, which is why we chose them. Desk personel was always kind and helpful. If you don't spend a lot of time in your room , like we didn't, it is a good value. Recommend for sightseeing travelers.

We arrived early on our check in day to make sure we got a parking spot. As we don't use the car once we arrive in NYC it works out great. The subway is a few minute walk away and your in Manhattan in the same amount of time as if you were to stay downtown and want to go to midtown. Hotel was clean although the rooms are quite small. You can hear the train go by, but it's not obnoxious. For the price it's excellent and we would stay here again for sure.

After request a non-smoking room because I was traveling with two young children I was given a room that smelled as if someone had smoked in it. I asked for a different room but they did not have one for me. I asked one of them to come to the room so they could see I was not just trying to get out of my room. The person said that the smell was not from smoke but from the rug. I smoked for 20 years before quitting 7 years ago. I know the smell. Later that evening I found a half book of matches in the drawer. The rooms are very small. You bump into each other when walking in your room.

This hotel was just what we needed. We were in New York for two days and didn't want to drive, and the hotel was a convenient ten minute walk from the Queens Plaza E line subway station. The room was small but it was clean, and we even had gotten stuck with a smoking room but it didn't smell bad. The continental breakfast was standard hotel fare, but the bagels and coffee got us going til we could get some real food downtown. My only complaint is the proximity to an elevated train line and the Queens Ave. bridge - the traffic noise is constant. But we were comfortable the whole time we were there. Four out of five.

The hotel is not large and the amenities are sparse. The room was small but clean. The breakfast was sparse but adequate. They only have limited parking so f you come late as we did you will have to park across the street and hen move it before the meters start in the Am. The biggest problem was that it was quite noisy with the traffic outside even past midnight, so if you are a light sleeper you may want to reconsider.

The room was New York small. With a King size mattress it was somewhat claustrophobic. But it was clean and comfortable. If you are just looking for an inexpensive overnite this is just fine. The hotel overall was nice. The area wasn't bad in my opinion. Two subway stations within easy walking distance...one only two blocks up the street. Didn't wake up in time for the continental breakfast either night, so the only thing I could complain about were the size of the rooms. Ours was small with little room to move around, but it was plenty adequate for our needs.

At just two short blocks from the number seven line this was a perfect location to go into the city but leave the car parked for free. The breakfast was mediocre at best, but better than nothing. The room were well appointed and serviced but tight. The only thing that might ruin a stay here is if you are a light sleeper. The train roars right outside the window and for some reason the doors to the rooms are cut too short so you can hear everything going on in the hall and vice versa. All in all we were very satisfied with the price, location and cleanliness and would stay there again.

Bewertet von einem Hotels.com Gast am Jul 2, 2009
I checked in very late and found out only after I was in the bed that the air conditioner in the room was broken. The staff clearly knew about the issue (the unit was unplugged and there were no knobs on the dials or labels for the missing controls), but they gave me the room anyway. The room should never have been given to anyone in the NY summer heat. I was exhausted and already undressed, and had an early morning, so just suffered through for the short hours I had the room. The hotel seems like it would have been a bargain otherwise. It was in very good shape and will probably be great. I can't imagine that the problem is widespread in that hotel, but it does say something about the management that they would go ahead and send someone to room without even a warning that the AC was out.

The hotel room was clean but the hotel itself was very basic and could use some sprucing up. The layout of our room was very odd. The bathroom door had been damaged from what appeared to be the lock on the door to the room. It looked as if someone was trapped in the bathroom because it is so tightly wedged behind the door to the room, and then the two doors damaged each other when one was forced open. Additionally, perhaps as a cautionary move, the bathroom door was weighted to remain closed and as a result received no air conditioning, which made it uncomfortable unless it was propped open with a trash can.

Hotel was in a good location, not far from LaGuardia airport, near train station and easy to get to Times Square. Also, right across the street from LaGuardia Community College. Breakfast was OK.. if you're looking for a hot meal, across the street is a cafe with affordable prices. Ask for a room away from the train. The train station is literally right next to hotel and can get very noisy during morning rush hour. Room was clean with modern furnishings. Was great for the price.

Hotel is comfortable enough, considering the price, and reasonably convenient to Manhattan (two stops on the subway). There are very few parking spaces and the surrounding neighborhood is not very appetizing. Decent restaurants are a bit of a hike, and I hated to give up a parking space at the hotel once I had it, so I hiked. Breakfast is of the standard high carb, low quality budget motel sort: white bread, sugared cereal, sticky buns.
