Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral (zu Fuß 5 Minuten zum Union Square) und ist wirklich komfortabel ausgestattet. Leider war der Service beim Check-in nicht der, den man in einem InterContinental gewohnt ist. Trotzdem würden wir wiederkommen, vielleicht hatte die Dame nur einen schlechten Tag...

GREAT hotel/location- we would definitely stay here again and would reccommend it to friends and family. Very clean, very hip, and very well priced rooms (not restaurant and bottled waters though- $16-20 for breakfast pp and $8 bottles of water???)

Easily our best hotel experience ever. Staff were focused, knowledgeable, and helpful. Room was perfect, clean, and well above expectations. Lobby, restaurant, bar, and check in area all contributed to the overall stress free, chic, professional atmosphere. We'll be back, and we'll only stay at the Intercontinental San Francisco.

Great hotel, excellent location and staff. Parking on site was crazy expensive but other options were less appealing.

They really need work on improving service quality. Few examples: - the luggage was not delivered to the room within 20 min. It took a trip back to front desk and discussion with the front desk manager to get it sorted - the hotel is just 1 year old and the pool already needs repair. The hotel offers you "an option" to go to the nearby Marriott (few blocks away). Not a good idea in cloudy SF weather - there was a line of 20 people when we tried to have breakfast. The service needed 2-3 min per person to arrange seating etc. (can you imagine 40 min waiting in line for breakfast???) - the room description was not accurate (e.g, bedding). At check we offered to make an upgrade for an extra fee

I booked a late reservation for a Saturday Night around 8PM PST, knowing I would end up having to pay the full price for a full "check-in" stay with them. I arrived at the hotel at 9:30 PM to check into my room, and my room wasn't available - in fact, there were NO rooms available. There were guests waiting in the lobby to check into their rooms. I didn't get into my room until 11 PM PST at which point, I had already paid for a half-day stay with them because I booked so late. Therefore, I spent less than 14 hours with them, and paid for a full day because they were behind on their scheduling. But at least they gave my friend and I 2 "free drink" passes. I usually LOVE their service, but they turned me off this time

great location, great gym, great swimming pool. wonderful place to stay.

Hotel and room were as expected from Intercontinental. I would rate our experience higher but having chosen the hotel because of the pool (10 year old in tow), we were very disappointed that it was out of action. The alternative offered (pay $5 to use Marriot) did not make up for the lack of facilities.

My girlfriend and i stayed here for a night. Amazing views of the city. Very modern design. Hotel staff was vey helpful and professional. Bar and food were very good. I you're looking for a great hotel for any kind of occassion i would definitly recommend staying here.

Upon arriving, we were not greeted by staff and they gay us the wrong room. They did not apologize for the inconvenience and there we some hidden charges by the hotel. The room was decent. The continental was not at all free. Neighborhood around hotel was terrible and unsafe. I was not treated with respect at this hotel.

Nicely appointed rooms. Convenient location. Reasonable rates for SF.

Business travelers looking for such conveniences as an internet conencted business center and morning coffee may be disappointed. Great hotel but you'll pay for everything including items other high end hotels would not consider extras.

I stayed at the Intercontinental first as part of a convention I was at, and then for 2 more nights over the weekend. The hotel is beautiful and new…clean, modern. Really a great place. The staff is very friendly and the amenities are many. I’d say this hotel is absolutely a great fit if you have meetings or conferences around Moscone Center. I only have 2 complains overall: 1. The location is a little sketchy at night (especially south and east. If you are going to the convention center or just walking north to dinner - not an issue. 2. The cost for certain things (parking and internet) are a bit high. Other than that a great place all around!

The location is great. We got lucky and were upgraded to the 31st floor with nice city and view of the bay. We opted for the breakfast package and the breakfast buffet was delicious. Would stay there again.

This hotel is very well kept and I enjoyed my stay immensely. The staff was helpful and the room was exactly what I would expect from the InterContinental.

Like all hotels in their chain, the SF property is a fine place to stay. The area surrounding the hotel is best visited in daylight. I would stay there again on business, but not when traveling with my family.

Would stay here again. A bit of a walk to get across Market, but clean safe and good access all-around.

I arrived the hotel at around 1450 hrs on a Saturday and the check in time is 1500. There was a long queue waiting already but only one reception counter was open. I thought it might take me at least 20 minutes to get a room. But in about 3 minutes, other staff might have noticed the long queue and three other reception counters were opened. It only took me 5 minutes to get the room from the point I entered the hotel. This was very good for long haul travelers who spent 12 hours on the plane.

The hotel staff was extremely helpful with any questions we had for them. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The flat screen with HD in the room was very nice. Parking was a little expensive but it is worth it to have your car safe. We will stay here again next time we come.

my girlfriend and I stayed at the intercontinental on howard for her 21st birthday and, this being our first trip to san fran, were quite reliant on the information provided by the staff. as with every other interaction with the employess, each one I encountered in fact, the staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help. other than that, the place is beautiful; the cleanliness and presentation are beyond scrutiny; and the location, while in a potentially sketchy area, is quite convenient. I obviously heartily recommend this place to basically everybody, other than sprawling families at least.

The room was great - we paid extra for the view and breakfast which were both worth it. The hotel feels a bit void of personality but makes up for it with cleanliness and bed comfort. The spa is nothing special and overpriced. If you want a spa experience in SF, go elsewhere. Also, bummer that the pool/fitness center close at 10pm. The Intercontinental should live up to its name and cater to guests that may like to exercise in a different time zone. It is right next to the new Westfield San Francisco shopping center and muni in Union Square. If you need a quick cheap eat and don't mind eating in a mall, the Westfield shopping center has an excellent upscale food court where alcohol is served.

The beds are very comfortable. I found the room to be very clean and very modern. If you are sharing a room with someone that you are not completely comfortable with - I would not recommend this hotel. The bathroom door is very contempory in design AKA "sliding door" not a lot of privacy but beautifully designed. Getting a cab is difficult in that area but you can always walk to another street.

Booking at Hotels.com to get the cheapest rate, I got the smallest room on the floor. But the room was nice, bathroom was great, bed was comfortable. 6th floor room was very quiet.

The staff is very gracious and met our every need. I ordered room service and it was delivered less than 10 minutes from when I hung up the phone. The staff at the lobby bar was very friendly and we ended up visiting them for a cocktail each day of our stay!

Very nice hotel with excellent service

Every aspect of our stay was outstanding. The attentiveness and quality of food was outstanding. Going back again, and again!

Came here for a two year anniversary. Great location near everything, spacious room, friendly people and it exceeded my expectations.

The location is great, but the service is bad, bad, bad...The reception put us to a room with queen bed, because there was no king beds left although we ordered one. The cleaning lady took away our bath robe and towel but didn't replace any. The bellman on night schedule is really cold and rude...Oh, and the room is so small and there's no bath tub! By the way, the restaurant downstairs is good, worth a try.

It was a pleasant experience when me and my girl friend stayed here. The lobby was something out of a movie nothing what i expected. The room we got was the deluxe King Size bedroom it wasnt as big as i thought but it was clean didnt smell and the view was priceless. The only bad thing that i didnt like was the fact that we had to pay for parking and the parking lot spot were very small. But all in all this was a great hotel and i would stay here again

I cannot say enough great things about this place. The room I stayed in had the most beautiful view and the customer service was beyond excellent. Any time I stay in Frisco I will be sure to stay here again.
