Fairfield Inn New York Manhattan/Times Square - New York

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The free breakfast was a nice addition. The only concern if the hotel is located next to the Port Authority and the area is a little questionable at night.

While hotel is not directly in Times Square, and the area in which it is in seems to be under quite alot of construction, the hotel was very clean and modern and a great place to stay if you dont mind walking a bit. The continental breakfast was great with plenty of options. The parking garage was only $24. for 24 hours, while some of the other area hotels charged upwards of $50. for 24 hours.

We loved this hotel! Im picky when it comes to hotels and will pay more for a great hotel. This one had it all! It was close to Times Square, 1/2 a block to a major subway hub, and was very swanky. The staff was very friendly and the room was emmaculate. More that i could have wanted. I also loved the free 24 hr coffee in the lobby. Its a smaller hotel with only 8 rooms per floor wich makes for narrow halls, but the room was Very comfortable. I dont know what you people expect in a New york city hotel but this was the perfect room size. The bathroom while beautiful and clean, was a bit small for 2 people. We discovered when we got back that the hotel is advertising a roof top breakfast area and restaurant...that we never saw. Its still under construction as far as we know cause we ate in the lobby with everyone else. We tried to go to the roof but the elevator wont let you go that high. So maybe it will be completed soon? My only complaint is that a housekeeper ignored our "privacy" door hanger and kept banging until we finally answered to give us towles. We didnt want towles because we were trying to be green as per their request. But everyone was very friendly and would get the elevator for you and wish you a great day anytime they saw you. I read complaints on the neighborhood so let me clarify. Its the Garment district not 5th avenue, what did you expect? We were next door to the corrections parole building ( always a cop around), the Bus depot (huge subway hub very convienient)a parking garage (again convienient) but you did have to walk past a few dvd and porn shops...nothing that would disturb children though. I found some amazing fabric stores and a nice deli east on 40th. We cant wait to stay here again soon!

My son and I were both very pleased with the Fairfield Inn Times Square. The included breakfast was nice; the room was very clean, well-appointed and up-to-date. The staff was very helpful and courteous. I thought it was a great value for the money. The bathroom especially was very modern and clean. It is by far the nicest hotel I have stayed in in NYC. The location was very convenient and although there was a parole office on the same street and some shady looking characters occasionally, I never felt unsafe.

On the positive side: The hotel was very clean, nice and at a convenient location, and the staff was very kind and accommodating. Internet, breakfast, and newspapers were complimentary. On the not so good side: the breakfast was of average quality, the street had a couple of X-rated DVD stores, and there were only 3 elevators so it made us wait a couple of minutes to go down. Also, the internet in the rooms are wired internet, wireless is in the common areas. Overall, the "not so good side" did not matter at all. If I visit NYC again, I'll choose this hotel without hesitation.

Very clean nice hotel as promisd within a few blocks of most Broadway Theaters. Helpful - pleasnt staff.

I loved the hotel but wish I knew about all the construction.I would have requested a room higher up.

The hotel was beautiful; however, it is located on the same side of street as a few X rated shops. Not a good look. It is also across the street from Port Authority. Excellent hotel if you don't wonder and try to explore at night. If you do, take a cab, don't walk!!

Pick a low floor though...only complaint is that the elevator response time isn't too great. Only 3 for 22 floors.

For the cost this is a great hotel and location. Brand new so it is very clean and the staff is extra attentive. The hotel manager did a great job in handling a special request. I would stay here again on my next visit to NYC!
