The Gems at Paradise Resort, on a private Long Island beach near Clarence Town, Bahamas, offers beach and island adventure activities amidst comfortable accommodations. The Bahaman Long Island floats in the crystal green waters of the Caribbean Sea, 150 miles southeast of Nassau. The hotel overlooks Clem Cay, and is across from the Flying Fish Marina and convenient to Deadman's Cay Airport. Clarence Town is the island's gorgeous harbor city, boasting regatta races, shops, restaurants and historic inland salt ponds. The island itself is more than 80 miles long and less than four miles wide. With beaches, trails, cliffs, hills, coves and cays, opportunities to explore abound.
The Gems at Paradise Resort offers plenty of activity or relaxing luxury on its private beach and adjacent waters. Co- owner and native Long Islander Hans Darville captains boating and fishing trip expeditions. Bicycles may be rented from the hotel to see the island's nearby sights. After exhausting a morning's worth of energy, guests can enjoy hammock lounging or leisurely wading along the pink sand at the private beach. Bahamian dining options beckon guests into town each evening, only a short stroll from the hotel.
