Beschreibung

Location. The Best Western Hotel Orchidee is located in Aalter, Belgium, one kilometre from Aalter railway station. The city of Bruges is 15 kilometres to the north, and Ghent is 30 kilometres south.
Hotel Features. This four-storey hotel is a modern property. Guests can enjoy the sun on the rooftop terrace, relax with a sauna or massage in the wellness centre, and sample some of Belgium's diverse beers in the hotel bar. Multilingual staff at the 24-hour reception can assist with travel and tourist arrangements, and coffee and complimentary newspapers are available in the lobby. Other amenities include shoe shine, laundry services, safe-deposit boxes, airport transfers (surcharge) and complimentary parking. Childcare services are available on request.

A complimentary buffet-style breakfast is served each morning. Restaurant Orchidee features international and Belgian dishes. Lunch is served Monday through Friday, and dinner is available Tuesday through Saturday.

Business amenities include conference rooms, high-speed Internet connections and seating for up to 65 people.

Some of the recreational activities offered in the vicinity include swimming, tennis, horse riding and fishing. There is a playground nearby, and bicycles can be hired on site.

Guestrooms. The 30 air-conditioned guestrooms have bright, contemporary decor with wood flooring and dark wood furniture. All include satellite television, direct-dial telephones, high-speed Internet connections, clock radios and desks. Bathrooms have hair dryers, complimentary toiletries and bathrobes.

Expert Tip. There are 47 chocolate makers in Bruges, and the tourist office at the Concertgebouw sells a walking guide to nine of the best. The book contains vouchers that can be exchanged for chocolates and admission to the Choco-Story Museum.

From Brussels Airport (BRU):
Distance to Best Western Hotel Orchidee is 80 kilometres, approximately 60 minutes' drive.

Getting there. The airport's railway station is located below the terminal building on the basement level, and is accessible by elevator. Airport City Express trains leave every 10-30 minutes between 5 a.m. and midnight, and travel to the city's three main stations. Single fares cost 2.60 EUR. Trains run between Brussels Midi station and Aalter every 30 minutes. The journey takes just over an hour. Metered taxis can be found in front of the Arrivals hall; licensed cabs have a blue and yellow emblem. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Cycling and walking are ideal ways to explore Bruges. A reliable and cheap bus service is available, as well as boat and horse-drawn carriage trips. Cars and coaches cannot be driven in the town centre.

Driving directions. From the airport take the ring road around Brussels following signs for the E40 in the direction of Ostend.
Exit for Aalter.

Gutes Bussiness-Hotel

Nähe zum Stadtzentrum und komfortabel eingerichtete Zimmer mit kostenlosem Internet-Zugang (über LAN-Dose in der Wand) lassen das Hotel für einen Geschäftsaufenthalt gut geeignet erscheinen, wenn auch das Frühstück eher durchschnittlich und sicherlich nicht 4 Sterne war.
