Beschreibung

The Academie Hotel in Bruges is situated in the "golden triangle" of the city, and is located within walking distance of the Minnewater, a canalized lake known as "the lake of love" due to its idyllic surroundings. The Gruuthuuse Museum, which features remarkable collections of furniture, tapestries, musical instruments, paintings and weapons from the 13th to the 19th centuries, sits close by the hotel as well. Guests can also walk to the Diamond Museum and explore the mysterious history of one of Belgium's most important exports or climb the 366 stairs to the top of Belfry tower, where one is rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views.
Cars are not allowed into the center of Bruges, known as the "Venice of the North," but guests can take canal trips or charter a horse-drawn carriage to explore the surroundings. Brussels Airport is located 55 miles from the Academie, and Airport City Express trains depart approximately every 10-30 minutes from Brussels' three main stations. There are two trains every hour from Brussels Noord and central stations to Bruges.
The hotel features a stylish lounge, relaxing bar, winter garden and sunny terrace. The hotel houses a secure underground car park as well. A breakfast buffet is available every morning for a fee, and although the hotel does not house an on-site restaurant, several dining options exist nearby.
The 83 guestrooms of the Academie Hotel, Bruges, offer cable television, direct-dial telephones and coffee- and tea-making facilities. Microwave ovens are available upon request and limited room service is also offered.

From Brussels Airport:
Take Highway E40 to Exit # 7 Brugge.
At Koning Albertlaan follow signs to station.
Go to the light turn left onto Oostmeers.
Then make a right on the 2nd street.
This will lead you to Wijngaardstraat.
Hotel parking will be next to the lace shop.

Kein 4-Sterne-Hotel

4 Sterne hatten unsere Zimmer nicht verdient! Maximal 3 Sterne wären angemessen gewesen. Dringend renovierungsbedürftig! Die Lage des Hotels hingegen ist ausserordentlich gut.
