Location. The South Sound Villa is located in a secluded section of Virgin Gorda, the third largest island of the British Virgin Islands. The villa rests on a private peninsula at the end of Mattie Point ten minutes from Spanish Town and the Virgin Gorda Airport. Features. This six-bedroom home features Mexican clay tile throughout a free-flowing area that includes a living room, dining room and a full kitchen. A 12-foot covered deck stretches the entire length of the house, and is furnished with a hammock and chaise lounges. The eight-foot garden deck offers a propane barbecue grill. The main floor bathroom features a glass-block enclosed double shower, and accesses the exterior through sliding glass doors. The villa boasts an infinity-edge pool with a rock waterfall and a wet bar. Guests receive access to a private dock, sailboard and rubber dinghy available for boating out to the 5,000 foot reef or the Hurricane Hole. Four sets of scuba equipment are available for an additional fee.
Guestrooms. All guestrooms at the South Sound Villa offer beds topped with pillowtop mattresses. The master bedroom features a sitting area with rattan sleeper sofa and a 12-foot glass slider opening to the veranda. The second bedroom overlooks the pool and offers double French doors opening to the outside. The pool deck bedroom connects to the lower level bathroom and shower. The top floor bedroom provides 360-degree views of the sound and surrounding mountains. Each bedroom offers a private closet and accessory seating.
Expert Tip. Beach umbrellas, beach towels and food coolers are available for guests to bring down to Savannah Bay Beach, located ten minutes from the villa. This long, curving stretch of oceanfront is suitable for sunbathing and swimming.
