The Helnan Marina Hotel is a single-floor beachfront property sited amid woods, moors and meadows, 500 metres from the Kattegatcentret aquarium and four kilometres from the town centre. This hotel features 100 guestrooms with light wood furnishings; amenities include satellite television with pay movies, wireless Internet connections, minibars, desks, trouser presses and bathrooms. Guests can work out on the fitness equipment and swim in the outdoor pool before relaxing in the atrium and sauna or topping up their tans in the solarium. Open for breakfast and dinner, the hotel's informal Brasseriet restaurant serves modern international dishes and seasonal specialities, and offers vegetarian and children's menus. During summer, guests can also enjoy barbecues and picnics on the terrace. Families with children can make use of the playroom and billiards table, while guests with business needs will benefit from meeting rooms with audio-visual equipment and banqueting facilities. Guests can explore the historic buildings, pedestrianised alleyways and squares of the town centre of Grenaa, four kilometres away. Please note: The hotel is currently carrying out renovation work to its conference area. This work is anticipated to be complete by October 2007.
Taxis and hire cars are available from the airport; a typical taxi fare to the hotel is approximately 200 DKK. Grenaa train station is four kilometres from the hotel. Driving directions: From the airport, turn right towards Tirstrup. At the A15 turn left and go straight ahead. Follow signs to Grenaa. At Grenaa, turn right at the first traffic lights and head towards the harbour. At the third traffic lights, turn right into Kystvej. The hotel is on the right after 100 metres.
