The Scandic Odense is a modern hotel situated off the E20 motorway, 5.5 kilometres from the centre of Odense and its numerous Hans Christian Andersen attractions. This two-floor hotel features 100 contemporary Scandinavian- style guestrooms with wooden floors, all of which include satellite TV with pay movies, telephones, Internet connections and minibars.
After a workout in the fitness room, guests can unwind in the sauna or top up their tans in the solarium. Billiards and darts can be played in the games room and there is a television showing news and sporting events in the bar. Children are given a surprise gift at check-in and there is playroom beside the restaurant with books, toys and bikes; during the summer months Sigge the Hedgehog hosts a pancake party for kids every morning. Business guests enjoy access to 13 meeting rooms and a business centre with computers and Internet access. Guests arriving by car will appreciate free parking facilities. Odense is famous for being the birthplace of the writer Hans Christian Andersen and the town centre, 5.5 kilometres away, has a historic cobbled area named after him and a number of museums dedicated to his work. Five kilometres from the hotel there is also an attractive theme park based on Andersen's fairytales. Odense Airport is 10 kilometres away with an approximate driving time of 20 minutes.
