Location. Maritim Hotel Bellevue Kiel is located at the waterfront of Kiel's fiord, the gateway to Scandinavia, where the Kiel Canal connects the Baltic Sea to the North Sea. The centre of Kiel is reached by a walking promenade. Historic steamers and modern cruise ships leave from the ferry port in front of the hotel. Hamburg Fuhlsbüttel Airport is 90 kilometres away, a 75- minute drive.
Hotel Features.The waterfront location offers opportunities for swimming and boating, and guests can take advantage of the indoor pool and sauna. The terrace offers tables and chairs for relaxing and dining, with views of the fiord and dock, and public areas feature plump leather sofas and chairs with antique-style furnishings and rich patterned carpets. There is also wireless Internet access, ample parking and airport transport (surcharge).

Maritim Hotel Bellvue Kiel serves international and regional specialities in the Restaurant Bellevue, a sunlit, open space with light walls and furnishings and picture windows overlooking the fiord. The Backboard Bar, with dark panelling and low bar flanked by leather club chairs, features a variety of cocktails.

Water sports range from simple swimming to more adventurous windsurfing or driving a historic steamer. Miniature golf and a driving range are nearby.

Anfahrt

Getting there:From the airport the Airport Shuttle runs to the Kiel bus station; from there taxis run to the hotel which is three kilometres from the station. A walking promenade leads to the centre of Kiel which can be navigated on foot; other sites can be reached by car or using public transportation.

Driving directions:From Hamburg take Motorway A7/E45 towards Kiel; take exit 12 Kiel and continue along Motorway A215. Take the exit towards Kiel and continue along B76. Take Düvelsbeker Weg, turn right on K15/ Feldstraße then turn left on Schlieffenallee, and right on Bismarckallee.
