Location. The Leonardo Hotel Munchen City Center is located in Munich, Germany, 50 metres from the Hauptbahnhof, the city's principal railway station. The old town is 400 metres away, and Marienplatz, the main square, is one kilometre away.
Hotel Features. Multilingual staff at the 24-hour front desk of this modern six-storey hotel can offer concierge services, the use of a safe-deposit box, and tour assistance; limited hours room service is also available. The public areas have Internet access, and secure garage parking is available for a surcharge.

Restaurant Leonardo Hotel Munchen serves modern international dishes in a contemporary setting, and the hotel has a lounge bar serving a bistro menu.

Guestrooms. The 80 air-conditioned guestrooms have light decor and modern furnishings. All have satellite television with pay movies, wireless Internet access (surcharge), coffee and tea facilities, and minibars. Bathrooms include showers, bathrobes and hair dryers.

Expert Tip. Though the current Hofbrauhaus (brewery) dates from the 19th century, beer has been made on the site since 1589. With waitresses in traditional costume plus throngs of singing and dancing locals, this is the place to enjoy a litre or two of authentic German beer.

From Munich Franz Josef Strauss Airport (MUC):
Distance to Leonardo Hotel Munchen City Center is 35 kilometres, approximately 30 minutes' drive.

Getting there. The airport's train station is located between the two terminals on the basement level. The S8 and S1 S-Bahn trains leave every 20 minutes for Munich's main train station, the Hauptbahnhof, which is 50 metres from the hotel. Journey time is approximately 45 minutes, and single tickets cost 8.80 EUR. Tickets must be validated before travelling. The Lufthansa Airport bus runs to the Hauptbahnhof every 20 minutes, and the single fare is 9.50 EUR. Taxis to the city centre cost approximately 55-65 EUR. Prices are subject to change.

Getting around. Much of Munich's city centre is pedestrianised and best explored on foot. The city's integrated public transport system includes buses, trams, S-Bahn commuter trains, and U-Bahn underground trains. Tickets cover all modes of public transport. Taxis wait at ranks around the city, but can be expensive. Trains run from the Hauptbahnhof to other German towns and the Bavarian countryside.
