Location. The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island is located on Amelia Island off the coast of northeast Florida. One-and-one-half miles of beach stretch behind the resort. Historic Fernandina Beach is located seven miles north of the property. Victorian homes, antique shopping and art galleries dot the Fernandina Beach seaside landscape.
Hotel Features. On-site dining options include the poolside Café 4750 that serves elaborate buffet-style breakfasts, casual lunch fare, and seafood, beef and pasta dinners. Salt, The Grill at The Ritz-Carlton offers elegant dining ambience and ocean views. This dining venue serves dinner and Sunday brunch. The Tasting Menu features more than 500 wines. Eight sports bar is equipped with billiard tables and flat-screen televisions. Young guests can participate in the Ritz Kids program that features outdoor activities, and arts and crafts. The health spa offers regenerating champagne facials and Island Honey Butter Wraps. Heaven in a Hammock is a signature spa treatment that creates a sensation of zero gravity as the supporting hammock gently rocks. Recreational amenities include an 18-hole championship golf course, nine oceanside tennis courts, bicycle rentals and a complimentary, limited-hour fitness center that contains cardiovascular and weight-training equipment. The resort offers indoor, outdoor and children's pools.

Guestrooms. The eight-story Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island offers 444 contemporary guestrooms with private balconies that overlook coastal and ocean views. Beds are draped beneath 400-thread count Egyptian Frette cotton linens, and are topped with goose-down and hypoallergenic pillows. Honor bars are stocked. Bathrooms are marble clad, offer terry-cloth bathrobes, and are stocked with Bulgari toiletries. High-speed wired and wireless Internet access is available for a fee.

Expert Tip. The resort hosts Friday and Saturday night bonfires on the beach where island and pirate tales spark adventurous imaginations. Arranged through the concierge, a parrot-toting "pirate" visits guestrooms, tucks in small children, reads bedtime stories, and imparts a gift.

Book a stay in a Reconnect Package rate plan and receive complimentary daily Southern breakfast buffet for two, $100 resort credit and complimentary valet parking daily for one vehicle. Breakfast is valid for dining in the hotel's restaurant and excludes room service. Credit is available only on the third, fifth and seventh day of stay. No refund for unused portion. Other restrictions may apply.
