Beschreibung


Location. The historic Francis Hotel is located in the centre of Bath, England, just 300 metres from the Roman Baths and Pump Room.
Hotel Features. Set in a Georgian townhouse made from Bath stone, the hotel has a smart lobby and lounge serving afternoon tea around an open fireplace. Staff at the 24-hour front desk can help with sightseeing trips.

The Square restaurant at The Francis Hotel serves British dishes with a modern European flavour. The smart restaurant overlooks Queen Square, while alfresco dining is available in the Herb Garden during the summer. The Caffébar serves light meals in a brasserie-style atmosphere.

Small groups can be catered for in the hotel's meeting rooms, with audiovisual equipment.

Guestrooms. Decorated in warm colours, the 95 air-conditioned guestrooms offer televisions, tea/coffee-making facilities and private bathrooms.

Expert Tip. One of the most famous of all British attractions, the ancient Stonehenge, is just 30 miles from the hotel in Bath.

From Bristol International Airport (BRS):
Distance to Francis Hotel is 20 miles, approximately 45 minutes' drive.

Getting there. From Bristol International Airport, regular trains run to Bath and Bath Spa train station. The Bristol International Flyer coach runs to Bristol Temple Meads railway station, and Bristol bus station, from where onward transport links to Bath can be found. Taxis are also available at the airport.

Getting around. The hotel is on Queen Square in the historic centre of Bath. Bath's compact centre is best explored on foot, although travellers may want to try one of the many bus tours available to tourists. A car is recommended for exploring the surrounding countryside. Trains connect Bath with Bristol, London, the southwest and northern destinations. There are also coaches and buses to local destinations. There is limited parking on site, but more available nearby.

Driving directions. From Bristol International Airport:
Take the A38 south towards Bristol.
Take the A4 towards Bath.
Stay on the A4 through Bath to Queen Square.
