Location. The Beardmore Hotel & Conference Centre shares a site with the Golden Jubilee National Hospital in the town of Clydebank, Scotland, on the banks of the River Clyde. Glasgow International Airport (GLA) and the city centre are both seven miles away.
Hotel Features. The Beardmore Hotel is a three-storey property with modern architecture, set amid 35 acres of grounds. The hotel houses a health centre complete with a gym, a sauna, a steam room, jetted tubs and a 15-metre heated indoor swimming pool. The air- conditioned public areas offer complimentary wireless Internet access and complimentary newspapers are available in the lobby. Room service is offered around the clock. Motorists will find complimentary parking on site.

The Beardmore Hotel & Conference Centre's Arcoona fine-dining restaurant mixes French and British influences a contemporary setting. The B Bar Café offers fresh local produce cooked to order with a contemporary twist, and features a garden patio. Pizarro offers a selection of drinks, light meals and snacks.

The hotel offers a full range of business, conference and meeting facilities.

Guestrooms. The Beardmore Hotel offers 166 guestrooms decorated in light contemporary style with modern furnishings. All are equipped with satellite television, wireless Internet access and coffee/teamakers. Bathrooms offer shower/tub combinations.

Expert Tip. For a unique culinary experience, go to a fish and chip shop (takeaway restaurant) in Glasgow and order a deep-fried Mars bar. The chocolate bar will be dipped in batter and cast into the deep fryer. Aficionados recommend a side order of chips. Not for the faint-hearted]

Distance to the Beardmore Hotel & Conference Centre is seven miles, approximately 15 minutes' drive.

Getting there. The hotel offers complimentary airport transfers on request, subject to availability. Shuttle bus services connect the airport to central Glasgow and cost 5 GBP. Trains run from Paisley Gilmour Street, two miles from the airport, to Glasgow Central station. From here, trains run to Dalmuir Station, 500 metres from the hotel. A direct taxi from the airport to the hotel will cost around 15 GBP.

Getting around. Trains run from Dalmuir Station, 500 metres from the hotel, to Glasgow Queen Street and Central stations. The city centre can be explored on foot. The city is well served by buses, and tickets are purchased on board. Night buses run from George Square after midnight. The city is also served by an underground system. Single journeys cost 1 GP, and a Discovery card costs 1.90 GBP. Taxis are also readily available. Prices are all subject to change.
