The Copthorne Hotel Newcastle, Newcastle Upon Tyne, is a contemporary, river- facing hotel set on the Newcastle Quayside, half a mile from the development's variety of bars and pubs and a mile from Newcastle Football Club. The hotel's 156 guestrooms are modern in style with upholstered armchairs, boldly patterned bedspreads, and cherry wood fittings. All have river views, and are equipped with minibars, televisions with in-house movies and dial-up Internet ports.
Guests can enjoy meals in the Copthorne Hotel Newcastle's choice of restaurants, and mingle over sunset cocktails at the river-facing bar. For those needing pampering, the hotel has a beauty salon and guests can also unwind in the sauna and steam room. A gym and indoor swimming pool are available for guests feeling active. Business guests can make use of the hotel's meeting rooms and business services, and stay informed with a complimentary daily newspaper. Free secure parking is available for those arriving by car, and the Copthorne Hotel Newcastle can arrange transportation to and from the airport (for a fee) in Newcastle Upon Tyne. The hotel is 300 metres from the city's ancient Castle Keep, half a mile from the Centre for Life, the Theatre Royal and the attractions of the Quayside stretch. For sports enthusiasts the Newcastle Football Club is a mile from the hotel, while the Newcastle Falcons' Rugby Club is ten miles away. The airport in Newcastle Upon Tyne is nine miles or about a 20-minute drive from the hotel. Taxis are available outside the airport and a trip to the city centre costs approximately 15 GBP. Alternatively, the Metro station is situated right next to the terminal and trains are frequent. A trip to Newcastle Central Railway Station takes around 25 minutes and costs about 3 GBP.

Anfahrt

From the airport approach Newcastle on the A69 or A696 and take the A1 South. Take the slip road A695 (signposted City Centre, Blaydon). At the first roundabout, take the second exit and follow signs for the City Centre. After two and a half miles, enter the roundabout and take the third exit (signposted Quayside B1600, Gateshead A189). Follow this road and take Fourth Banks downhill onto the quayside. The hotel is on the right.
