Location. The Best Western Ewington Hotel is a Victorian townhouse property overlooking the tranquil Queen's Park and located within three miles of Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow's main shopping thoroughfare. Glasgow Cathedral, the Burrell Collection and the Museum of Modern Art are also less than three miles away. Glasgow Airport is situated at a distance of eight miles, with an approximate driving time of 20 minutes.
Hotel Features. The hotel houses Minstrel's Bar, decorated with jazz memorabilia and serving snacks and drinks throughout the day including traditional afternoon tea. Five function rooms are on offer in the hotel with a maximum capacity of 100, and audio-visual equipment is available. Further amenities include complimentary onsite parking and 24-hour room service.

The Ewington Hotel is home to The Minstrel, an elegant, traditional restaurant serving international dishes made with fresh, local produce accompanied by an extensive wine list.

Guestrooms. The 43 guestrooms are individually decorated in traditional style with floral fabrics. All include satellite television, direct-dial phones, trouser presses, coffee and tea makers, hair dryers and minibars.

Expert Tip. > The People's Palace, located 1.5 miles from the hotel, offers a chance to see how the people of Glasgow lived from 1750 to the present day. The Winter Gardens, attached to the Palace, is an elegant Victorian glasshouse filled with tropical plants and features a café.

Anfahrt

Getting there. The railway station in Paisley is two miles from Glasgow airport - a few minutes away by taxi or ten minutes by bus. There are eight trains an hour from Monday to Saturday and five trains an hour on Sundays from Paisley to Glasgow Central rail station. Taxis are available 24 hours a day from in front of the main terminal building. Shuttle buses also run to central Glasgow and take about 20 minutes.

Driving directions. From the airport, take junction 20 westbound from the M8 or junction 21 eastbound, onto the A77. Go over four sets of traffic lights and turn left onto Allison Street. Turn right onto Victoria Road and then right again at the park gates onto Queens Drive.
