Location. The Hope Street Hotel is located in Liverpool, England, 800 metres from both Liverpool Cathedral and the Metropolitan Cathedral. The Albert Dock, home to the Tate Liverpool gallery and the Beatles Story tourist attraction, is 1.5 miles away. Liverpool Lime Street train station is one mile from the hotel.
Hotel Features. Situated in the city's Georgian quarter, this boutique hotel occupies a contemporary, four- storey corner townhouse. Staff at the 24-hour front desk can assist guests with travel arrangement and tour advice. Room service is available around the clock. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in all public areas. Other amenities include laundry and dry-cleaning services.

The Hope Street Hotel's London Carriage Works restaurant serves contemporary international dishes made with local, organic, and seasonal ingredients, in a modern, white and crimson setting. The Resident's' Lounge is characterised by oak and slate floors, a grand piano and black leather seating. The bar offers cocktails and a range of wines, and hosts live music. Breakfast is available every morning (surcharge).

Business facilities at the Hope Street Hotel include a boardroom and conference room equipped with plasma screens.

Guestrooms. The 48 individually designed guestrooms feature white walls with exposed beams and brickwork, wooden floors, and Egyptian-cotton sheets. Amenities include wireless Internet connections, flat- screen satellite television, and CD and DVD players. Bathrooms have fittings by minimalist designer Arne Jacobsen Vola and are stocked with REN products. Complimentary newspapers and bottled water are provided.

Expert Tip. The labyrinth of underground tunnels beneath Edge Hill were dug out by a local business tycoon in the early 19th century. The reason behind the Williamson Tunnels is still a mystery, but the first section is now open to the general public.

Getting there. Shuttle-bus services run from the airport to Liverpool South Parkway train station. From here, frequent trains run to Liverpool Lime Street station. Taxi fares direct from the airport to Hope Street Hotel are approximately 15 GBP. Prices all subject to change.

Getting around. Liverpool has an extensive bus network operating from two main stations, Paradise Street and Queen Square. Taxi ranks are located at Lime Street Station, James Street Station, Adelphi Hotel, Whitechapel, Sir Thomas Street and Chinatown. Ferries across the River Mersey depart from Pier Head.
