A classical yellow stone corner building, the Royal Oxford Hotel is located in historic Oxford's city centre, 200 metres from both the train and bus stations. The 26 air-conditioned guestrooms feature warm decor with soft furnishings and light wood furniture. All include satellite television, tea and coffee making facilities, bathrooms with tubs, showers and hair dryers and complimentary wireless Internet. Complimentary fresh fruit and bottled water are also provided upon arrival.
Guests of the smoke-free hotel can relax with a coffee and the papers in the lobby or order a snack from room service, while those with laptops can and make use of complimentary wireless Internet access throughout the building. Smollensky's Bar and Restaurant is on the ground floor of the hotel and offers American-style dining, including house speciality steaks. It is open daily for lunch and dinner. The hotel reception is open 24 hours a day and offers a range of services including wake-up calls, laundry and business services. Parking is available on reservation (surcharge). Visitors to the city of dreaming spires will find many of Oxford's historic university colleges and buildings less than 500 metres away, such as the Bodleian Library, with its magnificent 15th century reading rooms. For travellers arriving by train, Oxford station entrance is directly across the street from the hotel. Heathrow airport is 40 miles away, approximately one hour's drive.
Renovation Notice:
Effective September 2, 2007, the hotel's ground floor restaurant will only be open for breakfast. There is no estimated date for return to its normal serving hours.

Anfahrt

Buses run from Heathrow Airport to Oxford bus station, 200 metres from the hotel. A single ticket costs approximately 14 GBP for adults, 7 GBP for children. A taxi will cost around 100 GBP. From the M40, exit at Junction 9 and proceed along the A34 towards Oxford. For approximately eight miles until the North Hinksey Botley Junction (ignore all other Oxford junctions before this one). Turn off and at the roundabout on the Botley Junction take the first exit and proceed in middle lane for 500 metres to T-junction opposite McDonalds. Turn left onto Botley Road and continue for 1.5 miles, pass under railway bridge and hotel is directly in front. For parking follow road round to the right of hotel (Park End Street) for 100 metres to car park on the left.

Bei dem Preis keine Beschwerden. Nahe Bahnhof

Neu renoviert. Zimmer sind sauber und ordentlich. An einer lauten Straße aber mit guten Fenstern und Aircondition. Das Personal ist freundlich aber nicht besonders professionell.

Lage ok aber für den schlechten Komfort zu teuer

am meisten hat der Lärm genervt Bahnhofsnähe zwei Hauptverkehrststraßßen umtosen das Hotel. Kein Früchstück, bzw. 11 Pfund zusätzlich viel zu teuer Wir werden uns demnächst was anderes suchen Busse verkehren regelmäßig und das haben wir auch schon gemacht
