Location. Hedley House Hotel is located in York, England. York Minster is 300 metres away and Leeds is at a 32 mile distance. York Station is one mile from the hotel.
Hotel Features. Set in a residential area, the Hedley House Hotel occupies three Victorian townhouses and extends to a garden deck with barbecue area and hot tub. The hotel houses a lounge with both a games console and computer with Internet connection, and offers complimentary onsite parking. Further amenities include a DVD library, laundry facilities, and room service.

Hedley House Hotel serves a complimentary full English breakfast and houses an informal restaurant serving classic British dishes for dinner.

A meeting room with capacity for 18 is available onsite.

Guestrooms. The 28 guestrooms have bright, modern decor with Egyptian cotton bedding and wood furnishings. Amenities include wireless Internet (surcharge), satellite television, direct-dial phones, hair dryers, and hospitality trays. DVD players are available on request.

Expert Tip. Castle Howard, located 15 miles from the hotel, is one of England's most impressive stately homes. Built in the 18th century, this Baroque masterpiece was designed by John Vanbrugh and is dominated by a central dome with two wings enclosing a courtyard. The house is surrounded by extensive private gardens with a lake and several water features, and is famous as the location for the 'Brideshead Revisited' television series.

Getting there. The easiest way to reach the hotel from the airport is by hire car or taxi, costing approximately 35 GBP.

Getting around. York's compact centre can be explored on foot.

Driving directions. From the South take the A1, A64 and A1237.
At York North take the A19 to the city centre.
Drive through Clifton, pass Clifton Green on the right- hand side, and continue underneath the concrete footbridge.
Bootham Terrace is the second turning on the right-hand side.
