Location. The Westwood is a traditional hotel located within one-and-a-half kilometres of the centre of Galway, Ireland. Salthill Beach is five kilometres from the hotel, and Galway Airport (GWY) is 10 kilometres away.
Hotel Features. Set in a peaceful location, The Westwood has a circular lobby with a marble floor. Complimentary parking is available on site.

Meridien Restaurant has wooden floors, white tablecloths and an open fire. The menu features modern Irish cuisine with international influences. The split-level Westwood Bar has an open fire and alcoves. It serves bar food and carvery lunches, and has live music every Friday and Saturday.

The hotel has meeting rooms, and wireless and dial-up Internet access.

The Westwood guests can use the pool, steam room, gym and beauty salon at the Kingfisher Club (surcharge).

Guestrooms. The Westwood's 58 air-conditioned rooms have modern decor with locally hand-crafted cherry wood furniture. Rooms have satellite television, Internet connections, tea/coffee making facilities and power showers.

From Galway Airport (GWY):
Distance to The Westwood is 10 kilometres, approximately 12 minutes' drive.

Getting there. Taxis are available in front of the airport and cost 15 EUR-20 EUR to the city centre. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. The hotel is located on Upper Newcastle Dangan in Galway. The city is compact and easy to explore on foot. Bus Eireann operates services from Eyre Square to various locations across Ireland. Regular trains connect Galway to Dublin, and the journey time is three hours. The best way to explore the west coast scenery and the surrounding countryside is by car. Complimentary onsite parking is available.

Driving directions. From Galway International Airport:
Turn left and follow signs for Clifton N59.
Go straight on at the first three roundabouts.
Turn right at the next two roundabouts.
The hotel is on the left-hand side at the traffic lights.
